  1. I know first full year of the new regime, but Manuel was no surprise, good or bad spot to grab him, I don't think anybody following the Bills was shocked. Same with Spiller a few years prior. Woods was a gimme as well.
  2. so EJ makes a 9th player. Wood has to give him the ball. The question is, who is the lucky 11th guy on the field? We need an 11th guy what is Whaley doing, sleeping?
  3. I think Pegula was always part of that group, although nothing was announced. FWIW I used to date a girl, whose family was very close, and business partners with Pegula. Did not realize how much money they where worth then, but am kicking myself now. It's OK, the middle class is treating me well. Jim Kelly is also a close family friend of theirs. The connection is pretty direct, even though it sounds weak.
  4. I think the sad but true truth here, is that Ralph's legacy will either be forever enshrined or tarnished by how the handling of selling this team goes. If they stay, he will be remembered as King, they leave, and he leaves fans feeling bitter for not being responsible. Please go out a King Mr. Wilson!
  5. Video i haven't seen posted after his rookie camp. says Bills offense is simpler than the FSU offense, one that was criticized for EJ only having to see half of the field. Possibly Hackett does this to help progress EJ, possibly a reflection on EJ's NFL readiness, or even a knock on Hackett for not giving the NFL enough credit for need for scheming. Not sure if this has any legs, obviously you have to take these interviews with a grain of salt.
  6. obviously kiko would win at all positions, but FB in these situations would suit him perfectly. ok kiko, just run as fast as you can at the guy in the b gap, and go!
  7. I just don't see TE for the Bills. Chandler, Moeaki, Gragg, Smith. While not great, I just don't see us adding a 5th at the position, especially in the first. I think Moeaki is a big question mark the with ability to move into a really solid addition for us. I wouldn't undersell that at all. I am sure we would like an insurance policy, but you don't grab those in the first round.
  8. i think eventually the kickers will learn to put more hang time like the punters and will start to try and pin teams deep. it won't happen immediately but the next generation of kickers will adapt is my guess
  9. not sure how Jim Kelly is not named more on this board. maybe it is the reoccurance of his cancer. my thoughts and prayers to him, but he was never the greatest person.
  10. oh good, the Dick Jauron era is coming back
  11. Can't exclude the Chroise
  12. Don't care about the retread stuff, but I think he called a terrible first half against the Broncos. Basically spotting Peyton 17 points. Far too conservative
  13. I don't think every team has to do it, but that no team is aloud to turn it down anymore. Basically HBO picks a team, and the NFL as a franchise accepts it. On a similar idea, the same as the draft. I have heard a few GMs say that the draft is unamerican, being told where you have to work. Think of it like McDonalds. You apply, get a job at the Sheridan location. Then say you only want to work at Delaware. Nope you have a job McDonalds, you work at the location we need or want you, otherwise you don't work here. Long story longer, the NFL singed an agreement with HBO, in turn HBO is allowed to shoot wherever they want. Mostly because the owners aren't individuals at all, they all belong to the NFL
  14. For me, if it is between Marrone and Dareus, at this point it is easy to say Dareus stays Marrone walks. I doubt Marrone has this type of clout with Whaley anyways, no way the FO should let a player like Dareus go at the advice of a first time HC.
  15. i have been saying this for a while. why hasnt green bay fixed that oline. rogers regularly takes a huge beating. it has already started to bite them in the ass when he got injured. he has easily the worst ol in the playoffs. in all honesty that roster is a little bit of a mess, held together by a handful of all-stars.
  16. The biggest issue with Hacket is he isn't Chan. Seriously. We saw a bad Oline masked with scheme, how dangerous CJ can be when put in the right positions. Hackett did a terrible job at getting CJ in space and, did nothing to get the pressure of a weak O line.
  17. I heard on NFL radio, a lot of guys who go sleeveless where petroleum jelly on there skin. it wicks moisture, and insulates the skin all at the same time. when you break it down this way, it may be even better than a polypro long sleeve, especially since they can reapply regularly. not to mention for a rb most likely makes him harder to grab.
  18. Dude, your'e arguing for arguments sake. he led the Bengals to their first winning season in 15 years! Fine pre-injury he hadn't won a playoff game, but put the Bengals on the map in terms of recent relativity. He also only threw one pass in the playoffs, only to be injured and then in turn create the Palmer rule. he had an average QBR over 100. Your argument holds little to no validity, and you hide behind the guise of raise standards
  19. FWIW pre ACL injury, Carson Palmer was considered a top 5 QB in the league. Not claiming EJ to have similar trajectory, but if we get pre-injury Palmer QB producion in the next 5-10 years, the Bills would be lucky.
  20. Am I the only who is noticing that Luck doesn't seem to be looking off a single defender. Seems to be staring down receivers.
  21. I don't think Cam and EJ are similar players. The point is EJ isn't slow. And no when I see EJ run I don't think it looks like he is wearing lead cleats. We're just saying things for the sake of saying things.
  22. EJ ran a 4.65, Cam Newton ran a 4.58.
  23. Agreed, he talks a lot about statistics, but on how many 3rd and mid/shorts do we run a play with 2 receivers running two go routes and if we are lucky a tight end running an in/out route (if it isn't a a go route). The chances of completing those go routes is approximately 10-15%. Lets talk about that glaring statistic. That is one of the questions I want answered. It is one of the most, if not the most, glaring mistake in play calling this team seems to run consistently.
  24. I have said for a while that the salary cap should include coaches and trainers salary. It would actually create more parody. I think forcing a team like the Bills to possibly invest in say a QB coach for their 2 rookie QB's, or t Pats to pay Belichick, but that means they possibly can't afford Tommy Boy.
  25. Awesome Work Man !
