  1. I agree with the mechanics. Not sure why we never put him behind center, easier footwork there. That was also our best called game on offense. Tuel also had a better called game and was taking a number of snaps behind center. I seriously think this is the root of all our problems on the offensive side of the ball. I don't get it
  2. This!! The play is over when his knee is down and touched. He had possession at that point. Everything after that is irrelevant.
  3. Just to put things in perspective. There are 32 starting quarterbacks each weak(baring a bye week). At 16 weeks per team that is 512 QB performances per year. 3 years worth of those in the NFL is 1536 QB performance put up between all teams over the course of the regular season. To be within the worst 25 of those is historically terrible. That means 98.4% of all quarterback play is better than Jeff Tuel. That's your solace in the whole situation. Being better than 1.6 percent of all quarterbacks.... It's not the absolute worse.
  4. depends on how he feels about Ryan Mallet
  5. I just had a similar discussing with my aunt this past week, who is from NO. I am under the opinion that with the abismal season last year from the Saints, Peyton and Brees should not both be considered HoF. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning win more than 7 games last year with that Saints team. I know that those guys are considered the best in the business, but we are talking Hall of Fame. Manning makes every coach he has had look like an elite coach, when the fact of the matter is each one was extremely mediocre pre-Manning. If Brees is elite, NO wins more games. Period. Brees can be remembered as a very very very good QB, but he seems to be a function (to a certain extent) of Peyton at this point. So I don't buy into the look at Brees as an example for Tom Brady nonsense
  6. Tom Brady on the decline? He is literally the only reason that team is winning games. If the decline means the best player on your team, that is currently winning its division, and also Top 3 players in the league, at your position, where all of you are going to the HoF, then yes, Tom Brady is on the decline.
  7. Especially when we get it right after a kickoff, with a COMMERCIAL BREAK. Coaching error, attention to detail
  8. number one in total plays. there is a reason Pettine is bald, and it's Marrone
  9. Not that he isn't making tons of money with appearance fee's, but wasn't it just a year or two ago he tweeted a picture with him and a porn star at his apartment. I think he is living a little higher than middle class, and not the most responsible guy with his money, maybe better than some in the league, but the guy is clearly enjoying being in his early 20's with some money,
  10. In another thread it was pointed out that our d sees the most plays in the NFL. I think the largest culprit on the D is the inability to sustain drives or score points regularly.
  11. If Tampa waited a week they may have gotten something pretty solid for Freeman
  12. He's not talking about the QB's. He is saying the front office and coaching staff don't know what they are doing, and that the team is competitive. I was just talking about this today, if you count Fitzy since he wasn't cut before the deadline, we have had 7 QB's on the team this year. I assume that is an NFL record.
  13. We are carrying 5! (Plus Kolb, but he's on IR, no roster spot) EJ, Tuel, Flynn, Lewis, Dixon. I don't get it, the fact that we signed 3 QB's in a week means the staff isn't confident enough in his abilities. This goes beyond due dilligence, and makes no sense as to why we have so many. Lose Tuel, then cut one more when EJ comes back.
  14. He's been the stability in what has been a turbulent calendar year. He has lost a step, I am grateful he is on the team. He has been our best running back. This is a testament to how good FJ has been in the past. If we lost Fred in the next week or two we would eliminate what little chances we have at winning a football game without a QB
  15. I was thinking the same thing. Any Given Sunday, except we don't have a stud third string QB, HoF coach, and never get good I just think of Bills fans being like Al Pacino yelling at the front office/ Cameron Diaz about how things used to be.
  16. Let me say this....I love EJ. I understood he was a project with as much upside as any other QB class, just less polish. Which can be a coin flip. I will say if you are picking top 5, because of lack of QB play (even injury), and you are staring down the barrel at a top prospect, you pull the trigger.
  17. i trust your sincerity, but you cover your bases with the MRI. If EJ plays next week, never answer a text from your source again. No way a work up by a doctor or PT would be so radically off from an MRI....God I hope your'e wrong
  18. They should sign Leinart, Young, or Freeman regardless of injury. Push Tuel to the PS. We can cut him pretty safely and resign him.
  19. Stevie has been unimpressive thus far. I didn't really miss him. Stevie off the field allows EJ, I think, to find Woods a little more. Woods best plays where a couple of plays where the ball was uncatchable and he played the DB. Through a couple to the ground pretty hard. I was really impressed with him today.
  20. They ran the ball like crazy. Tuel was something like 1 for 7 at one point for 6 yards. We ran for 3 straight series because he couldn't throw the ball near a receiver. I am not sure what you are talking about. It was this stretch of play calling that made the most sense. If we want to complain about play calling, lets start talking about why EJ was rarely behind center this week, or why we play zero press coverage? Those are the head scratchers. I think it is safe to say at this point we could cut Tuel and sneak him onto the practice squad where he belongs.
  21. I think people are wishing Chan back as HC, or Chan vs. Marrone. I think the issue is see a lot more talent on the offensive side of the roster, and fans are looking for success. Chan is a better OC than Hackett so far. He failed at HC and nobody is debating that. This offensice roster with Chan instead of Hackett would be much better. For the first time we have Gaey type players but no Galey. I think that is the point.
  22. She's hot because she has the meat sweats
  23. I didn't have as big of an issue with the second fumble. That ball was jarred loose from the fake handoff, and hitting choice in the gut. The first one was more than frustrating
  24. I thought this was easily EJ's best game. The one int was all on Stevie. That pass hit him right in the hands. EJ's biggest enemy today was his WR's. Lee Smitg falling, Woods with a key drop or two/foot placement, Chandler missing his feet, and everything that Steve Johnson did. The inverse is, I think today might have been SJ's worst game of his career.
  25. I thought that EJ played the best game of his career thus far today. He made great decisions and some really well thrown balls. I wish he could have back that first possession where he had SJ open on the 3ish. We had to settle or a field goal. EJ didn't see him make the break. He hung in the pocket and got some big gains with his feet too. Stevie killed us today. It was more tha just being taken out of the game by the defense. Killed a big run from EJ, and somehow forced a turnover on offense. There was another key drop or two. He looked more rookie than our rookies. These are mental lapses. I really liked the coachin and play calling in the first. More seems, slants, and timing routes. We dd poorly at making adjustments through the half. I asked for peoples heads last week if they didn't improves. I must give credit where it is due. Not happy with the second half. Although a lt of the issues on offense where on te WR's
