Bleacher Report: Why Doesn't the NFL Like Tyrod Taylor?
Mango replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, some people are. Without getting too far down the rabbit hole. I am about as progressive as they come, used to work with journeys end. My mom is a campaign manager, my sister works for the DNC and the UN. Im being told I don’t like him because I don’t like his style because of prejudice. It’s reallt catching me off guard. I just don’t engage. I do think there is a faction of people that this is the reality for. I also think that are a group that thinks he’s not a viable long term option in the NFL at the position. Just because you think hes not very very good doesn’t mean it’s racial. 1+1 does not equal 2 here. They can be mutually exclusive What is that side of the story. Legitimately curious. -

The entire LB Corp was picked on yesterday. Humber seemed to also have a particularly tough day. -
Bleacher Report: Why Doesn't the NFL Like Tyrod Taylor?
Mango replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way I understood it was the Bills basically said renogiate to a contract that is about 50-75% of the value or be cut. I would assume his agent did some sniffing around and said take the renegotiation Label that how you will. -

Windows are tight in the NFL. The longer it takes to get there, or heavier the wind up, the more time for the defense has to react. 1/4 second can mean a lot. That said. I noticed Peterman has a big awkward wind up on Sunday. Could be wrong

Right, because elite athletes and pro sports, are just like playing in the semi final of the Monsignor Martin tournament. Is it possible that coaches are responsible for creating a culture where high level athletes have a high level of buy in? Yes they do. It is a huge part of being a successful coach. It isn't all X's and O's or physiology. It is why international sport has both Coach's and Physiologists. Getting your best athletes to show up and perform is 100% part of the job responsibility of a full time, professional coach. Coach control environment.

Whatever happened to Doug Whaley and His Crew?

Out of all of the posts. This one makes me the saddest. Jesus. The holes and lack of depth are magnified because we magnified them ourselves. -
Now that Nathan Petterman is the starter?
Mango replied to fansince88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This x1000. The bills need a QB. You find your guy this year in the draft and you get him even if Peterman plays lights out. Worst case scenario,: Peterman turns out to be the next Tom Brady and he is our franchise guy. Even if we mortgage the draft to pick somebody we grade higher, then we still have spent 2 1st's and a 5th to get our guy for the next 10-15 years. Well worth the cost. -
And whose fault is that? I’m not sure we upgraded the GM position this year.

A Few Thoughts about the Jets Game, in no particular order
Mango replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw a ton to worry about in this game. It was embarrassing. Before commuting to taking arsenic, good teams rarely, if ever, drop 2 in a row. If this happens next week, Ill be concerned. We are dropping conference and divisional games. Makes it tough for the AFCE. But the wild card is still very much in play. -
Beating Bengals would be more impressive than last two.
Mango replied to webtoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The win would be impressive, solely because this is a game this team normally loses the past 17 years. When this team starts to win games they're supposed to regularly, we'll know things are different. -
I would say EJ is more like a Mustang with a driver that doesn't know how to drive stick. That's not a knock on coaching. He's nice and shinny, with some horse power. People look at it and think, nice car. Then the dude pulls out stalls twice and drops the transmission on the street.

Wait what? Is this your attempt at satire? Please tell me it is... Otherwise we found the most racist guy on TBD. -
Bills Kicker speaks about inequality

Concussions aside, of the NFL stands the test of time, it won't be because of viewers with mindsets like yours. It will be your kids and grandkids. As a business, and a longstanding one, it's important to be ahead of the market. This may be a "prevelant" view of your generation, but it is. It the prevailing thought of those younger than you. Buckle up, the world is about to throw you for a loop as you age. -
Zay Jones drops huge catch. <radio edit>
Mango replied to r00tabaga's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read it differently. Say cut in, Tyrod thought he was going out. When the throw came it was back shoulder. Unsure who made the right read. Looked like 2 defenders on the sideline and that's how Zay read it. Going for 6. Tyrod saw space and could stop the clock but it wasn't going in given the coverage. Safety had the cone. Tough throw. If it hits your hands in the NFL you catch it. But a really tough catch if he made it. -
Calvin Johnson admits why he retired: Lions were hopeless
Mango replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. He compared those players to Calvin Johnson AND Barry Sanders..... -
Watching the games last year, it didn't look like the issue was scheme. It looked like the biggest problem was the passer. There were regularly guys open. We ran a mobile QB friendly system, with a lot of counters, a strong run game, simple passing tree, and QB roll outs/designed runs. I didn't realize we were suddenly of the opinion that it was scheme that was stopping us from having AVG QB play.

Build your own Bills coaching staff....
Mango replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is easy HC Wade DC Greggo OC Chan I could be convinced to move Fewell, Mularky, or Jauron to HC and Wade to DC. Just some dude who won't rock the boat and let Wade and Chan do what they do. -
I blame the closing of the BBMB for crap like this...even if you're just kinda trolling, atleast be funny...

Wait, am I processing this right? I am saying Atlanta and NE run the ball well, look at all the points they score and yards they have on the ground. You are telling me I don't have football knowledge, and the argument against me is that Coleman and Freeman are good, and that the stable in NE brings a lot of production and diversity to the running game? -
They lost to the Phins by 10 to end the season last year. Then lost to KC by 27 the year before, as well as the Phins again by 13.

Mango replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Atlanta was 5th in rushing yards per games, and 3rd in rushing TD's. So yes, actually they did. Edit: NE was 7th in yards and 5th in rushing TD's -
Panther's board on McDermott, also saying Wilks to take over

Can we bring back Donnie Henderson for this secondary? I would feel better about letting Gilmore walk if Henderson was running the backfield.
