You can’t adjust the stats for one and not the other. Also, if I am reading this right, Rosen was pressured more, on target more often, and completed more passes when under pressure. Not getting the point here...

Fracking? ...really? Those pro-fracking will go the way of the whigs. It’s not happening in NYS...ever. It will become illegal nationally before NYS starts fracking. I’m not even weighing my opinion here, but it is the political (and social) climate currently, and it won’t be changing. You have major industrialized nations prohibiting it federally, and you’re worried about season tickets next year because of the topic? Pegula is fully aware, I am sure of it. Otherwise he doesn’t sell drilling rights to it for a football team in a medium/small market. He will continue to liquidate on a large scale in states not names Ohio or West Virginia in the coming years (5-10 tips), and redirect investments. It’s like selling bitcoin high. We all know it won’t work long term, but you ride the wave for the chance. Even major oil states like OK are starting to push back strongly against it. Not really helping yourself here.

Which is also why I was strongly against the Darby trade. “Fit”? The dude was a football player. We are definitely better with him rather than without. Also on the fence about Cordy Glenn. I am 100% fine with it as long as we use our draft capital to find a QB. If we don’t, I’ll be furious over it. I do get it though, some injury concerns. But the plan for Dawkins was RT, Glenn LT. Just because he had a good rookie season, doesn’t mean you get rid of a guy who has proven to be a quality NFL starter at a very important position. Especially considering that pre trade we had already lost our center, and our entire rigt side has been garbage for a long time.

Pay Kelvin Benjamin or Let Him Test Free Agency

If he is betting on himself, it’s in his best interest to hold off on an extension based on what others are getting paid. If he has a good year he’ll get over twice as much as his value is currently. That said, if he wants an extension now, go for it Buffalo, offer him his current value, which is probably around, or slightly more than Robert Woods money. 8-10 mil per year. Then you get a steal for the next 3-4 years, with a low enough value to cut or trade if things don’t work out. -
Why? This is basically he same value as has been stated before. Tons of people are saying it will take our 2x 1sts in 2018, possibly our 2018 2nd, and a 2019 first to get up to number 2. This was literally the same value, except for we moved up to no. 4 first, then packaged with 12. You don't trade up to no.2 in the draft unless you are enamored with a guy.

Would this regime survive a trade up miss at QB?

Not to take too deep of a dive into this. I was fine with Sammy, we weren’t going to re-sign. Gilmore has played well, but we weren’t gonna fork that cash over, and frankly didn’t have the room. I do think this roster is better with Darby, Dareus, Seymour, and Glenn on it though. We now have large holes at DT, OL, and Nickel/CB depth. Glenn in particular is frustrating if they don’t find a QB. Dawkins was brought in to play RT, Groy could have replaced Wood, fingers crossed for a Miller resdurgence with change in scheme. There is nothing wrong with depth. The current model is unsustainable if they don’t make a play at a big time QB. I do agree that, unless the staff feels VERY confident in whatever they patch together for an OL, the rookie should sit. It’s not a recipe for success. -

Im saying Darnold and Rosen are viewed as more NFL ready, prototypical, and safe picks in the draft. That trading up to grab one, and them falling short, is more forgivable because of it. If they trade up for Allen, and Allen fails, they purged the roster to take a shot on a guy with a ton of growing to do in order to become a good NFL QB. If they stay put and grab somebody with their current 12 or 22, who is considered 2nd their and they miss, they will be flamed for purging the roster only to take a second teir QB, and fill roster holes that were self created. -

Correct. They’ve traded too many assets not to take a shot. If they get Darnold or Rosen and they flop, the regime will be fine. If they trade up for Allen, or stay put for Rudolph/Jackson, and those flop, they’ll probably not be around very long. -
I think it’s more complicated than that. Market price is whatever somebody is willing to pay. I can’t imagine we left a much better deal on the table and took the KC deal. If they stayed true to their board, White was the get all along, or a group of players that they knew would be there. Then getting any return was better than staying put. I doubt we turned down 100 second rounders like the Jets just gave/ last years value is last years value. This years is this years. History will move the needle a little bit, but not a ton. I understand what you’re saying. I’m more upset that they trusted the scouts for the rest of the draft, but not a QB selection, on what I would guess was waiting for their new GM/scouting staff. We could have bled the roster the same as we did this year, gotten all the picks, and let Mahomes or Watson sit for a year, and used this draft to stock up.

In theory, Dawkins was supposed to brought in as RT, but played well at LT when Cordy went down. Instead of creating depth, or moving Dawkins back to RT this season, we let Cordy go via trade. I’ve been beating the drum this past year that McBean and Co. are really rolling the dice with their personnel decisions. I will forget all of it if we come out of this draft with a franchise QB because it’s the most important position in sports. If we trade and cut half the roster, and get blocked out of the top of the draft/don’t solve the QB position, I think that Beane at the very least, put himself in the hot seat. I really dislike the Darby trade. Iffy on the Glenn trade if that pick doesn’t garner us the QB of the future.
-
Not just name a stud, do you think the Packers would trade Aaron Rodgers for the entire Minnesota defense? Absolutely not. It’s the the most important position in sports.
-
That does not really change anything though. Whaley could still have wanted to grab Watson, and was over ruled by Pegs or McD to trade down, even if it was 5 days prior.
-
Wasn't it reported that Whaley wanted to draft Watson?

There are a few red flags in this. Normally the taking snaps from shotgun thing in college is overrated, but NOT when you have bad footwork. Everything in the NFL is based on footwork. It is a big deal. The intermediate throws and willingness to leave a dirty pocket are also red flags for me. -
Why is Kaelin Clay back on the roster?

There seems to be a lot of traded players starting for other teams. The FO is taking quite the gamble the last 10 months or so. -
Brandon beane the new Tim Murray?

This. I am never a fan of dropping talent, just to add talent. He has a lot riding on this draft, at least for me, because as of today, this roster is worse than the one he inherited. I guess that’s by design but it is a risk. We still eat eat a bunch of dead money for Dareus. I don’t get it still. Also not thrilled with the Darby trade either. We got not a whole lot in return for that one. This draft for me is dependent on getting a QB. -
What are your bold predictions for the NFL draft?
