I think the 6th seed in the AFC comes in at 10-6. Let’s not forget the chargers are 8-3. Either them or KC takes the 5th seed at 11-5ish Possible...sure. Likely...no

Nice game but Allen needs to pass

It’s weird that we didn’t talk about how bad the running game or Zay Jones was with Barkley. Just something to think about . -
Nice game but Allen needs to pass
Mango replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure why everybody is so defensive. Allen did some good things today but it’s OK to question a QB who completes 42% of his passes. This is his third game he’s completed less than 50% of his passes this season -
It is to a certain extent. If your parents are olympians, then you’re much more likely to be an Olympian than a child from two parents who are accountants and English teachers. Does it make anything gauranteed, no, but it does mean you have a significant genetic advanatage over the rest of the population. Nobody wins the Olympics with just hard work. Can’t be done without inheriting elite physiology.
-
I get it, some typos in my original response. Fat fingers. But what am I wrong about? It’s true. There’s are more guys out there with the drive to be elite, than there are guys with elite physiology. Physiology wins 99/100 compared to the rest of the population. And it wins 85/100 at the Olympic/professional level. Or is it that everybody on this message board could have been elite at a sport if only they “wanted to”
-
Physiology is genetic. It is no surprise. Chances are if your dad and/or mom was an Olympian, you have what it takes to be one too. Why hat is this a question? Its fully an athletic/physiological advantages. Unless your parents have some untapped elite physiology that they didn’t know about, the. The chances of you being an elite athlete are much slimmer than guys who do have those parents

Derek Anderson must have really gotten walloped
Mango replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unsure of the severity of Anderson’s concussion. I’ve thought since he went out, that it is a combination of him basically being done and retiring, and his concussion. Nobody can can say that lights are giving him headaches or that he hears ringing. This isn’t what he signed up for. He’s not leaving this roster without an injury settlement. And I am totally OK with that. -
I actually fully agree with you. It was more pot stirring. It is definitely a need for us. I also hate reaching for need.

watch them take Greedy Williams as our CB 2.

Start Josh Allen (healthy) or Matt Barkley?
Mango replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Allen can’t beat out Peterman over the course of an offseason, and Barkley just getting off the couch, I think we have our answer on JA. -
Four Different Starting QBs in One Season
Mango replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because the named starter for week one of the season, with no injuries, is currently healthy and at the bottom of the depth chart behind Allen and two guys who literally came off the couch. -

My bigger issue is firing a GM after not letting him pick his own head coach.

Bill's Offensive Line is the problem. Amazing stat.
Mango replied to Kevin1778's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did I get the steps in the process right? 1. Trade Dareus. 2. Eat a bunch of dead cap space. (Would have cost us way less had we waited a year) 3. Also pay Star a ton. Suck. 4. Use number 3 pick to replace our prior number 3 pick. -
The biggest myth on the Process/Rebuild
Mango replied to bostonadguy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest myth in all of this was that we were in salary cap hell. This is a self created problem. -
I would add, if Reggie McKenzie becomes available, I would probably fire Beane on the spot and bring him in with Defilipo.

Mango replied to Kevin1778's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just for reference, that is less than 33% of what the Saints are investing in their OL. And they pay Brees + the 10 mil they carry in dead cap for Brees because of the way his contract is structured. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/offensive-line/ -
With so much invested into Josh Allen, you have to assume Defillip is high on the Bills list if this were to happen.

I heard the pregame too. Didn't think of it that way. But, I would slightly shift your thought on this. Could this be what McD is already thinking? That he failed already on his first stop, looking forward to his second? That would be a huuuge problem I think. You could make the argument that Bellicheck in Cleveland wasn't a BB issue, but a Cleveland Browns issue.

First half: Wk 9 Bears at Bills, 1 pm FOX
Mango replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We’ve gone from Peterman, Allen, Anderson, Barkley. Hea 5th man up. If you count McCarron, 6th. Worst part is, your point is valid and I totally agree with you. -
How many coaches/GMs survive a tank?
Mango replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In in two years they’ll be fine. They didn’t trade a bunch of of their starters to move up in the draft. They kept their talent, and gambled on a QB. If Mahommes or Goff don’t pan out, both franchises have very quality rosters from top to bottom. We proactively lost our CB 1, CB 2, MLB, DT 1, LT, WR 1, WR 2, QB 1. All to use all our draft capital to put a guy in a situation, where you now have that many holes, and self created dead cap space, and can’t solve anything. If Allen is a whiff, this franchise is in really really bad shape for 5 years. -

I mean we traded Glenn away nearly 3 months after Wood. Dawkins could have kicked inside, with an already weak right side. Richie happened about 3-4 weeks after Glenn. We could have had the plan of lining up Glenn, Dawkins, Bodine, Incognito, Mills. But that’s not what happened at all. Richie, Glenn, Wood, all were off the roster with plenty of time to replace them....but we couldn’t because we created our own cap hell.
