Not sure who it was, but I believe it was confirmed that Beane, McDermott, nor Badol were in attendance. Another scout/coach I would assume.

TOP (12-14 WINS) 1. Pats- They were in the SB. They stay here until proven otherwise. Sorry guys 2. Steelers- Big Ben and Bell are still there. Always a tough team. Their window is closing with Ben. HALL OF VERY GOOD (10-12 WINS) 3. Chargers- I am just sick of seeing Phil Rivers fall short. Picking with my heart here. 4. Jags- I could see a slide down the chart, but they were in the AFCC. AFC South could very well beat each other up in 2018 with the best at 9 or 10 wins) 5. Texans- Assuming Watson is ready to rock and roll. Plus that Defense is still good. No Watson no cookie. FIGHTING FOR THE FINAL WILD CARD SPOT (8-10 WINS) 6. Colts (assuming a trade down with the Bills for more picks. This could drop big time but they get a HUGE bump with Luck back behind center) 7. Bills (I have more faith than some in McCarron. Better passer than TT. Still some important holes to fill) 8. Chiefs (could take the Colts spot. Rookie QB vs. Andrew Luck 9. Raiders (Carr's season will determine where they fall) 10. Dolphins- They were a QB away from being a much better team than us in 2017. Losing some help though. Could drop. 11. Titans- Same as Broncos, but they were in the hunt last year so they get the nod 7 WINS OR LESS 12. Browns- Just being nice. I don't want you to be the factory of sadness anymore. Also TT is a good dude/mediocre QB, who will get you to at least 5 wins this year. I predict 7. 13. Jets- I just don't see a turn around for them now. 14. Ravens- The wheels will fall off the organization in the next few years. Their window is over. 15. Broncos- Probably too low. But I can't really say they are better than anybody above the, 16. Bengals- Sorry guys, but probably swap with the Browns in reality. I think there is probably a log jam of teams at 7-10 wins, that are all pretty comparable that flip flop in there. Chargers the most notable of to add to that group. I wouldn't be surprised if everybody in the hall of very good was basically also fighting for a WC spot as well.

I am just so INfatuated, I can't get enough. Also...can McCarron start at QB if Pegula owns both the Sabres and the Bills and they are both IN Buffalo? Finally...Glad we got McCarron ground up and in the freezer! Did I hit all the TBD classics?

You created the 3rd McCarron thread on the front page. Just look for like a second, it is all right there. Loads of people talking about how cheap the deal is, likes, and dislikes. GAHHHH IT IS EVEN PINNED!

Wait a second...What About Shaq Lawson????
Mango replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unsure if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me. I am just saying, while Whaley had whiffs that draft class regardless of scheme, if I am opening old wounds, I am more annoyed with Pegula and Brandon for forcing a coach on a GM that was so drastically different than what he was acquiring. -

I don't want to turn this into a Whaley thread, and he deserved to get canned. Guys like Washington and Shaq are guys to fit a system, for a coach he didn't want/hire. I am more upset at Rex and Pegula/Brandon for that BS. He also assembled Schwartz and Pettine's defenses so if we are gonna knock him for one, give him credit for the other. -
Rookie QB starting vs sitting. Does it matter?
Mango replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best man wins in camp. But it has to be consistently. So if the rook comes in and isn't better 80% of the time, he sits I think. Just to avoid the huge clunkers, and digging the team/himself into a hole. I have faith that McCarron is a more than serviceable place holder, so the situation is different than at other points. -
Josh Rosen's intermediate & vertical game
Mango replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For me it is the commitment to the game. Not putting in the work every week with tape, the weight room, working with receivers, and the playbook. But wether he wants to be in the league still in 6 years. I feel like the guy could retire in. Relatively short order and at the peak of his career. -
Different GM brother. Dude could make an XT $100 per week off us donating on the board from March to TC.

If 100% it is arguable Bradford is better than Cousins That doesn't mean I would sign him for a heavy cost given his history.

I doubt that. As a dude who used to manage a brewery, juice would never leave foam on the glass, and NA leaves an odd foam on the glass. I would guess this is real. Also the amount of alcohol is negligible compared to the other ingredients is trying to not ingest. Alcohol is not necessarily what he is avoiding with beer. It is mostly the sugars. Also, as a guy who ate similarly to the TB12 method before it was copyrighted, I almost never drank when I was training. The occasional beer once per month with friends was cool. I don't think he is that tight assed in March. I would guess he has about 2-4 drinks per month. This is beer.

I am sure this is probably a bit of a joke reply, but I can answer this. It is much more common for high achieving people to test on the spectrum. Much higher than the general population. So Superbowl MVP's, Olympians, and college professors are more often somewhere on the autism spectrum than the people you encounter daily. Hence you find them awkward. Their mild autistic tendencies are a huge part of what allow them to be elite at what they do. Statistically it would actually be weirder if you didn't find the GOAT in his profession awkward. Also, can we talk about how insanely fast that was.

If he hits on a QB he is the Messiah. If he misses he is reckless. It is really that simple.

Could not agree more. Worst case scenario: - Bills trade for number 3 pre draft day. -NYG o. 2 becomes much more valuable for the Jets, Broncos, Browns, Cardinals. - Browns get worried select a QB at 1 rather than Barkley. - Giants pick becomes even more valuable. - Jets, Broncos, Browns, or Cardinals jump to number 2. - 2 QB's off the board before the Bills pick at 3. I have a feeling the Bills really like/love 2 Qb's this year, but nor three. If this happens, all is for nothing. The leak is even bad enough for the Buffalo Draft.

God I hope there isn't a plot twist to this and we give Philly what they are asking for for Foles

Dear Brian Daboll, -Do you stink as an OC?
Mango replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is fair. He never really had a ton of talent in either HC stint, and you’d think he would have some say in the roster their. Didn’t have a ton in Pitt or NYJ as OC. The answer is probably a little bit of both. I don’t think anybody ever really says “I don’t want better talent”. It’s probably closer to “get somebody somewhere else, I can make due with this” I dont disagree with that at all. -
Dear Brian Daboll, -Do you stink as an OC?
Mango replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan Gailey isn't a failed OC. As a HC, sure, mediocre in his best years. Chan's big issue as an OC was thinking he could get more with less too often. He wasn't wrong. He got tremendous production out of mediocrity from Kordell Stewart, Fitzy, Spiller, and Stevie. He wasn't wrong. But because of he could do it, he never really surrounded himself with talent as a HC. As an OC, and playing with the pieces he is given, he is talented. He is/was one of the most widely respected OC's in inner circles in the NFL. -
If You irrationally list Trubisky as a bust, you should Mohames to a hit. He’s looked pretty good in the time he’s played. That mives your hit rate to 44% when it comes to trading up for a QB you believe in. Just for perspective, that’s pretty good. Freeman was weird, he played well for a time period. Then just fell off the face of the earth. RG3, might never have been an elite guy, and I was never a huge fan, but prior to injury he probably would have had a Cutler-esque career. He wasn’t really a dud like Leaf. Probably closer to Tyrod in terms of production as a passer paired with athleticism. Can’t play “what if”. But Washington took a swing at a very good prospect. Sucks for them it didn’t work out, but it wasn’t the “worst” trade ever.

Has there ever been a more fun, anticipated off season?
Mango replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2013 was fun. Buddy was about to step down. Everybody was high on Whaley given his time in Pittsburgh and his pro personnel acquisitions in Buffalo (say what you want about him as a GM, he is skilled at finding gems in others cast off’s). We knew we were all in on a QB. We were riding high. A lot like right now actually. The vibe is similar. McBeane are in a career difining year actually. Whaley lived and died by his EJ draft. Good luck McBeane, we are rooting for you! -
The topic so nice, you made it twice!

Really, callouses? As a former national team rower, a sport with notoriously terrible hands, iIhave never looked at a Para rower, and thought "boy what an advantage they have because of blisters " This is a picture of another national teamers (Alex Gregory and Adam Neil ) hands, and they go and row 40k per day on that 6 days per week, plus 3-4 lifts. Your argument is stupid

Honestly. If we grab a serious upgrade to Darby with that 2nd, then it’s a wash\win. If we end next season and think, “this team is better with Darby than without him, then we lost” Through 2017, just straight Matthews/Darby, we were better before the trade. I don’t count Gaines as a replacement because he was part of the Sammy trade, to which, given the QB situation, we probably came out on top of that one. Agreed. Matthews is class.
