I’d actually go the other way. All contracts are 100% garaunteed. Maybe a 5 year, conditional years 4 and 5. Where if you hit your markers, the team is required to retain and pay you. You’d see less wasted money on unproven guys. I also think in instances loke Eric Wood, Aaron Williams,or the extreme Kevin Everett, the team should be required to pay, BUT it doesn’t have any effect on the cap. It’s just taken off the books. I think the DL goes closer to Schwartz era in that they rely on rotation between Washington, Star, Kyle, Hughes, Murphy, Shaq, and (situationally) Zo.

This was my major issue with the Glenn trade. We have a player in Dawkins. But let’s not forget he was drafted to play RT. A healthy Glenn could have fortified both end positions for us. A better line and better depth. I fully realize he was integral in our trade to get Josh Allen. Josh Allen is a different conversation.

This is much more true than you think. There is little stream lined practice or education in physiology in the USA. Many trainers are not well versed in the specific sports they work in. There are more bad physiologists in America than there are good ones.

People have a tendency to discredit data and statistics because they are looking for a binary answer. Yes or no. But that’s not what a deep dive into data really does. The probability of Allen being great with his college numbers is low. Doesn’t mean he won’t be a worthy starting QB.

Thats true actually. The issue is that it is supposed to in addition to the budget. But instead, they move EDU money elsewhere and replace it with lottery money. Originally the bill should have been passed with a minimum amount towards schools + 2% for inflation year over year. Ensuring lottery money is an increase in funding.

I fully agree. It’s really a non concern. If an NFL QB has difficulty with an occasional windy Sunday on the field, he probably won’t be an NFL QB very long. I do think I i it’s a larger issue for kickers because the wind swirls that high in the Ralph, especially in the end zones.

I was wondering the same thing. Curious. The Seahawks have been trending a bit down. How has their FA, waiver wire, and UDFA track record been under him? Not meant to hate. This was Whaley’s (only?) strong suit. It would be awesome if Buffalo could find similar results, especially given our depth issues.

It is the giving up assets for a “maybe” prospect in Allen, that is the issue. If Allen fails the entire fan base, and league will say “I told you so” And we will have dipleated the roster to do so. Allen has to turn out and show tons of promise in the next 3 years or the McBeane are toast. We cleared our entire scouting staff, LT, CB1, and gave away our DT1. This QB needed to hit. Most of us thought 5 years because of the playoffs. They get 2, MAYBE 3 more with this pick. They’d have been better off grabbing Rosen, him having a Bradford like career, retiring, and we move on. Allen HAS TO HIT
