  1. I mean, unless it came with a new (lesser) contract, what wouldn’t he agree to? “Cordy, you’re competing for th starting LT this year. Dawkins did well. It will be a good battle. We still have a few spots we would slot you in to start on the OL if that doesn’t work out. Also you get to keep you’re starting LT money regardless”
  2. Full agreed. I’ll add on, even if Dawkins is the better LT (the best ability is availability), Glenn could have helped us tremendously at RT. Or even kicked inside to OG, where most people had him pegged. Could have solved a few issues for us on the OL. I get the trade but dont love it. Also don’t hate it.
  3. Simply, a strong athlete is a tight athlete. That’s even more true for guys playing explosive (very quick stop and start) athletes. Then make those strong athletes like 240lbs or more. The tendons and ligaments have difficulty holding up with that much mass, momentum, and sports. Throw in a little juicing and it gets worse. Bodies are bigger and stronger than they are built for. Steroids don’t do much of anything for tendon and ligament use. At least the type of steroids these dudes are using to play in the NFL
  4. I think this discussion is less about incentives v. guaranteed, and more about getting paid if you’re cut or released. I get you have signing bonuses, and roster bonuses that are built in, and come off the table, but base salary should be paid out. If you are cut, I still think you should get paid out, unless you break some morality clause. I also think in situations like Eric Wood and Kevin Everett, those guys should get paid out, but not count against the cap. Eric Wood, nor the Bills, should be punished because of a career ending injury. (For the franchise, I mean punished as money towards the cap)
  5. I think it was Nov 2007. Pats V. Bills at the Ralph. Brady scored a touchdown on EVERY.SINGLE.POSSESSION. I think we managed 7 points?
  6. This might actually be in Buffalo. Looks like the Statler. Entrance to the big ball room?
  7. Interesting that this is a civil case, because the DA could pursue it criminally if they thought enough of it. He wasnt found innocent, just not enough for indightment. His claim that her accusation caused him to fall in the draft is separate from actual guilt. A lot of rape cases go this way. I wouldn’t pursue it if I were him. Not really worth it. It also doesn’t clear him of anything. I say this not knowing the details of the proceedings. Just what each event actually means.
  8. It was a typo I fixed. I meant realignment. Sorry
  9. Found this on reddit. Thought it was pretty cool. We have been incredibly bad in the AFC as a whole, and terrible in the AFCE. ) The Bills in each division: AFCE: 37-59 AFCN: 14-17 AFCS: 14-17 AFCW: 14-20 NFCE: 6-10 NFCN: 10-6 NFCS: 5-11 NFCW: 10-6 (Math might be off. Posted from phone)
  10. Huh? Have I missed something? I just googled and nothing came up on the first page to indicate any issues with Rosen in AZ...
  11. Hyde and Poyer were Whaley signings....
  12. Now they’re in a tough spot. Charge for content, totally revamp the sports section. I thought the BN content wasn’t worth me paying. Now it’s a new staff. And I won’t be willing to pay for an unknown.
  13. You’re still not wrong though. Our starting secondary is very good. We lack depth though. This team is still better with Darby on it, than not.
  14. I’d actually go the other way. All contracts are 100% garaunteed. Maybe a 5 year, conditional years 4 and 5. Where if you hit your markers, the team is required to retain and pay you. You’d see less wasted money on unproven guys. I also think in instances loke Eric Wood, Aaron Williams,or the extreme Kevin Everett, the team should be required to pay, BUT it doesn’t have any effect on the cap. It’s just taken off the books. Forced retirement by a doctor.
  15. If memory serves, he did it in Minny in one of his stints as well. I agree with you. I’d vote TO first ballot with personality issues, WAAAYYYY before a guy who was open about taking plus off. Randy Moss is the the most talented WR to ever play the game, and I don’t think it’s close....doesn’t make him the best though.
  16. Move criticized this regime for a number of moves, but this is a bad take on them. If anything, they give zero eff’s about salary or draft choice when it comes to putting 22 guys on the field. They are totally ok with going against what they thought or wanted to happen....except Tolbert. Still don’t get that one.
  17. I think the DL goes closer to Schwartz era in that they rely on rotation between Washington, Star, Kyle, Hughes, Murphy, Shaq, and (situationally) Zo.
  18. Am I the only one who keeps getting caught up in the fact that there aren’t 22 players on the list?
  19. This was my major issue with the Glenn trade. We have a player in Dawkins. But let’s not forget he was drafted to play RT. A healthy Glenn could have fortified both end positions for us. A better line and better depth. I fully realize he was integral in our trade to get Josh Allen. Josh Allen is a different conversation.
  20. This is much more true than you think. There is little stream lined practice or education in physiology in the USA. Many trainers are not well versed in the specific sports they work in. There are more bad physiologists in America than there are good ones.
  21. People have a tendency to discredit data and statistics because they are looking for a binary answer. Yes or no. But that’s not what a deep dive into data really does. The probability of Allen being great with his college numbers is low. Doesn’t mean he won’t be a worthy starting QB.
