  1. The insinuation that talking about Pegula is off limits because the Bills are still here is silly and unfair at best. Where does it start and end? Imagine if the Bills hired renowned international futbol manager Ralph Kruger and went 4-13. But hey, this team could be playing in San Antonio, so STFU.
  2. Oh totally, I wanted to start the reload last year, but the FO wanted to take one more go at it with the old guys. I get it. With the way this year is going, I think the Bills could maybe be 2 years behind KC going forward. In all honesty, that might not be the worst thing to ever happen. Being a little off cycle from Mahomes and Reid could be good.
  3. If this was internal why wouldn't they wait until after a loss removes the Bills from playoff contention? Why the week before KC? Hell, even if the Bills won the Super Bowl and you released this in March it wouldn't be the craziest thing that has ever happened to remove McD because of it. But if the Bills win the SB this year, and McD gets fired in 6 months because of this article it will be a really deep PR hole to crawl out of. If the FO thought the timing of this was good we should clear house top to bottom.
  4. The Bills and Chiefs are on similar roster timelines. The Chiefs started their roster reset last year, to which their rookie class way over achieved. This year they are still contenders but have gotten closer to average production from some of those guys. When you pay the QB position (which you must), you have to retool every once in a while when the bill comes do. Which Mahomes is and Allen's is about to.
  5. It is a message board dude. People are talking. That is it. I certainly didn't present it is gospel. No need to take shots.
  6. He went walked away from HC of the Bills to become the OL coach of the Jags, who at the time were terrible. Had an opportunity as interim, to which they kept him and he had 1 "good" season, where he finished 10-6 carried by the defense. Marrone ultimately finished his time in Jacksonville with a .348 record. Had he been with a franchise with a real owner he would have lost his job much sooner than he did. Afterwards he has strictly been an OL coach. Marrone 100% flamed out of the NFL HC circle.
  7. It has been mentioned on SabreSpace that Pegula is concerned about the increased costs of the stadium, and saving money for it is part of why he does not want to move on from Granato. Meatballs makes just under $2M per year and will have 2 years left on his contract. That is like making $100k per year and refusing to change your brake pads on your car to save money.
  8. Marrone washed out of the league pretty quickly after Buffalo. Terry Pegula tried to keep him.
  9. I thought for sure they’d take the 5 yards and give them some space on the punt.
  10. I totally agree. The NFL prints money. Nobody sells an NFL team unless they’re forced. I’m hating on Terry because he needs to be better not because he needs to sell the Bills. I tend to think part of the reason McD is safe is that Terry knows trying to replace and improve would be difficult (for him). But it seems like the bill seems to be coming due shortly. I’ve been critical of some things with Beane, but I have more faith in him to select a coach. I think he likely stays even though they were originally a package deal. Beane could find himself being a lifer like Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore.
  11. I think a broken clock is right twice a day and I do not, under any circumstances, trust Terry Pegula to turn over McBeane with success. The time will come that he has to. And that time might be now. It’s absolutely terrifying. Regarding the Sabres, I don’t think they’re going anywhere. The day Terry bought the team they were the 4th most winning franchise in league history by point percentage. We averaged 99.9% attendance/capacity for home games. Buffalo’s TV market is regularly top 5 for the Stanley cup. Often beating 1 if not both teams in the Stanley Cup Finals. Buffalo is a quality hockey market. Since purchasing the team in 2011, the Sabres are dead last in both win and point percentage, have the lowest attendance/ capacity in league (71%), and the longest playoff drought in the history of the game (12 years). If I had to guess, due revenue sharing, the NHL hates Terry. Buffalo is a quality hockey town. The league should want to keep a team here. Terry Pegula is amongst the worst sports owners in the history of American professional sports. And I don’t say that lightly nor with any ounce of hyperbole. There needs to be space to have a constructive conversation about how bad ownership is without the threat of leaving. Full stop.
  12. Similar to Araiza, similar to Von, similar to this. Every org knows everything. There’s reports of NFL teams have plants in college towns during the year to get the scoop on draft picks. The league and every team in the league individually employ/contract former federal agents to snuff out these off field issues quietly. It’s a business of “what can I get away with”. It’s not shocking. It is what it is. But I would be shocked if this was new for the org. Having to deal with it in public is why McD looks scared.
  13. There is some fairness to the relocation aspect of the Bills. But I am also not sure it’s a forever get out of jail free card. Also he is the worst owner in NHL history. So it’s difficult to say “Yay Terry. King of the sports” because the Bills exist when just down route 5 he’s absolutely ruined the NHL team. EDIT: I think Pegula is accutely aware of this. And part of the reason McD has been listed as safe unless the wheels fall off is because he could run out of goodwill in this town.
  14. This is a good reminder that even though the Bills have a coaching problem at the moment, they also have a very serious ownership problem that is flying under the radar. That’s insane.
  15. Also not one of my normal paywall beaters worked on his site. Sort of shocking. EDIT: I should note that I do pay for some news and sports subscriptions. I’ve never heard or even considered Dunne’s. If I feel it provides value ai have no issues subscribing. But I’m not paying $8 for 1 article out of the gate.
  16. I think there is a little over complicating of why this will likely go away. The answer is that Von Miller is an NFL Super Star.
  17. When Pegula bought the team Buffalo averaged 99.9% attendance capacity. We are always among the top 5 TV markets in the country for the Stanley Cup, often beating out cities who are actually playing in it. I like to think that the NHL finds Buffalo an advantageous city to have a hockey team and don't want them to move. That's my take, but because of that it is almost certainly wrong.
  18. I agree he saved the Bills from relocation. I will forever be appreciative. But it doesn't mean he has been a good hockey owner either. It is a bit unfair to chalk up the frustration with Terry over the Sabres and possibly Bills disfunction to "no good deed goes unpunished". My tune would be much different if the Sabres were consistently mediocre.
  19. At the time of purchase the Sabres had the 4th highest all time point percentage in the league. They are by far the winningest franchise to never win a cup. Buffalo fans like to say their lives are always miserable, but over 40+ years the Sabres were amongst the most winningest franchises ever. The Sabres are having the worst 12 year stretch in the history of professional hockey in the United States. They have now plummeted 8 spots with a .445 point percentage since he bought the team. Rigas going to jail for fraud means he sucks as a human. But he also owned this team during the 99 cup run. There is 0.0000% chance that Rigas is lesser hockey owner.
  20. I’ve been critical of Stef at times, but he had an awesome presser today. He’s really stepped up in a way I really like.
  21. Not a lawyer, so let me start there. But I believe he should have been if he posted bail. And via my own access to the internet it seems like that could even be a violation of the constitution if he wasn't. I do believe that the reason this is muddled is due to league/buffalo bills involvement in trying to slow/stop the process via request. Not
  22. One of two things that are happening right now: 1. Working with local officials to either keep the case open. Open investigations are not subject to FOIA. 2. Create a grey area where charges may or may not be officially filed. I believe both of these things were noted in the presser. Both would give Dallas enough teeth to decline any FOIA request (Texas is PIA).
  23. I think Greeny is right. Allen played great vs Philly. A lot of things are true at the same time. Allen is really really really good, he gets held to a wild standard, and sometimes he needs to be better. Some games have too many turnovers and poor decisions. I think part of the problem is that this team lives and dies by Allen's game. Some of that is on the FO and staff. But Allen also brings some of that on himself with his style of play. I don't mind the reactive stuff like "You can't throw the ball there at that point in the game". I don't like the proactive stuff like "how many turnovers is this jabroni going to have this week". Short story long. I am critical of Allen at times and he has played phenomenal at times. Anybody piling on the Philly game is out of their gourd.
  24. Are you an attorney by chance? I have posited a few times that I think a lot of the grey area about charges or lack there of is the league/Bills working to try and bury the body cam and recordings submitted to police during the incident.
  25. I believe Von Miller needing to post bail is the kicker here. Let me start by saying I am not an attorney, but I do not believe you can be held for bail without a charge. On the other end of the spectrum, you wouldn't be held on bail if you were brought in for questioning.
