Correct. But that isn’t always a positive. Allen has us some issues with decision making, but he’s getting better.

I just don’t think they’re better than 8-10 wins, and they haven’t showed enough in the last 3 games (against very bad teams) to convince me otherwise. I’m not going to argue it, because it’s a stupid thing for me to be right about. They’re either not as good as you think they are, and that sucks, or they’re better than I think they are and it’s awesome! McDermott has to keep Brady under 24 points, and the offense has to score more than 24 points. Just using averages. I don’t think they’re there yet. But the team is absolutely improved and I’ll be cheering and rooting for it Sunday.

Honestly I would take to reddit for this. There is a sub for photoshop wars, battles, or whatever. The name escapes me. But post it there.

I think the Browns and Bills are pretty similar teams currently. Browns a bit over hyped. Bills a bit under hyped to start the season. Both teams will float around 8-10 win mark and both can be streaky. Expected with young QB's. I don't think the Browns are in any trouble (yet), the same as I do not think the Bills have arrived (yet) or should count on a 10-12 win season, like we are starting to see posted.

I actually think this is equally lazy. The Bills are indeed better than last year. I think they are about an 8/9 win team. We are 3-0 against 3 teams that are probably picking in or around the top 5. People getting excited about being top 10 or around there in the NFL always make me giggle a little bit. Like dude, that puts you just at or outside the top 3rd. It’s like legitimately getting excited and putting a bumper sticker on your car that reads, “My Kids Get C’s”

My guess is 35-17, Pats win. We let the game get away from us with a couple turn overs.
-
Straight up pick, or both beat the spread? Where are you placing that? I use betnow and they aren’t letting me on those games...

I once got punched in the face by a women with an actual baby in her arms at a Pats game a few years ago. Because I asked her husband to stop pushing me through the causeway at half time. It was jam packed and nowhere to go/walk faster. It was a pretty surreal experience actually. It wasn't even a nice day, it was freezing and rainy. Husband picking fights, woman throwing punches with a baby, at a 45 degree rainy Bills game. I wasn't mad, just super confused as to what the hell happened.

My one peeve from the Giants game

On side kick to start the game/half -
Agreed. Not ripping or hating on the team. We, and the league, have seen a lot of 2-0 starts only to win 7 games.
-
I’ve liked what I’ve seen from this team. However we have beaten 2 of probably the bottom 5 teams in the league by a whopping 15 points. Until the defense neutralizes a very good offense, or the offense can go toe to toe in a shoot out, I still think we are hovering around .500. Cincy will I’ll be an interesting test. The. Seahawks should be decent this year (and built similarly to us) and they played them tough. Then got smoked by the 49ers. So we don’t know a ton about who is good right now. Just who is absolutely bottom of the barrel. For perspective, if the Bills win Sunday, and assuming the Giants really are terrible, Bills opponents will be 0-9. Not what anybody would call impressive. We could be the real deal. We could also have NE work us at home 42-17. We know nothing yet.

Daniel Jones - new starting QB for the Giants

Here is a scenario: Brady goes down in the next 6 weeks before the trade deadline. Pats are still on a roll. They give up a 5th to NYG for Eli because of cap space. Eli goes 6-2 down the stretch, Pats win the division with a bye in the playoffs. Everybody is furious. Eli keeps playing lights out. Pats are in the SB. Eli shows up, plays OK, before an untimely sack fumble with a minute left in the game, that blows the Patriots lead. Pats lose, and Eli Manning personally delivers BB his 3rd SB loss. -
I don’t disagree necessarily. Allen has looked better this year than Mayfield for sure. Allen continues to struggle with (relatively) touch, anticipation, and to a lesser extent this year, placement. Regardless. I don’t love playing the if’s and butt’s game. If a pass wasn’t tipped. If a ball was a caught, etc. they were, and you live and die by your results. I don’t hate JA, it’s just how I live my life in sport and career. It’s the only way to get an honest inventory.
-
I mean, Allen is closer to Favre then Mayfield is in terms of willingness to take risks, looking for the big things oh, Ironman, etc. That said, Mayfield was absolutely the better QB last year and it wasn’t close. He through with better anticipation, touch, and placement. Allen has been much better in general, and way better than Mayfield so far this year. Mayfield looks bad and lost. Single read, poor placement. Good skill positions.

I’m sort of half paying attention at this point. But it looks like the biggest issue since the end of the 2nd with the dumb call to go for it on 4th/not run it on 3rd is Gase not Falk. Edit: Holy balls, poorly timed quote...
-
At some point they are going to have to let Falk throw the ball regularly.
-
Has OBJ come off the field twice for helmet issues tonight? WTF?
-
I fully agree. We love to hate Greggo because of his time in Buffalo. But he’s a good DC. He’s just an ####### so he never stick around or produces long term because he loses the locker room. He’s a good stop gap for 2-3 years though.
-
Jets actually look like they are actually Sam Darnold away from winning this game. Browns look sloppy head head to toe. Jets look physical, they just can’t move the ball because their QB can’t complete a pass.
-
I keep traveling for work. I didn’t like Josh week 1 much at all. Impressed with Josh week 2, especially in the first half. Im sure you wanted that addressed. Wink. Ha
-
#imprecise throw there. QB’s are accurate, but they are generally not precise. Duh!

Jesus....it is week 2. Just get through Cincinnati next week. I am not saying we are bad or good, but this is the easiest part of or schedule. We have a lot of proving to do before we start talking about the division. Outside of Miami, we have a lot of tough games and could wins/coin flips but not really any should wins (at least not yet, everything will shift as the season starts to shake out). This is a team that was Jekyll and Hyde last year. For myself, I think they need to get through about 8 weeks without getting their teeth kicked in on either side of the ball, before I start to let myself feel like we have turned a corner. Mostly because I need to see them not lose by 14ish+ to the Pats, and play competitive football against the Titans, Eagles, and Skins.

Buffalo Bills fan confidence drops despite Week 1 win
Mango replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It wasn’t phantom. He came in late and hit/pushed a guy who looked like he was getting in Allen’s face. I am OK with taking those 15 yards, everyday. Protect your QB, especially if you’re the OL.
