Sorry, I thought you were saying that Buffalo should be ahead of KC and HOU because of record. Unsure I agree with your take on power rankings. They are what they are, opinions, so I don't read into them too much. But I do think they are good for adding context where record might not. Especially before the week 10 mark, where a lot can change.

Brady averages something like 12 or 13 wins per season over the course of his career. The formula for generating the schedule hasn't really changed in that era. We always share 14 common games a year with them (6 Divisional, 4 AFC Conference, 4 NFC Conference) The Pats winning more games have not helped the Bills over the last 20 years, and this year isn't special in any way what so ever. THIS^^^ The Bills have been the benefactor of a few calls this year. (2 TD's called back and 4 missed FGs in TEN) We have won 4 games with a total point differential of +20. A few timely flags and this team is as likely to be 1-4 as it is 5-0 even though they are playing good football.

I mean the Bills are: 4 missed field goals and a called back (2 on the same drive)touchdown (19 points) away from losing to a Titans team that benched their QB for Tannehill in the next game. 1 point from losing to a Jets team whose starting QB had mono. 4 points from losing to the Bengals who are basically playing without an OL. With the lack of being able to fully dominate on both sides of the ball (put a game away) and propensity for trying to give the game away. The Bills are capable of losing to just about everybody in the league right now. We are also capable of playing with anybody in the league.

I am actually worried about the CLE game. It will probably be one of the tougher games on the schedule. They gave SEA some trouble, and I think we are built similarly to them.

Because the #1 priority in Dallas is Jerruh having the spot light. #2 gets muddled between being competitive and actually winning games. Garret is really good at making sure #1 is always top of mind.

Season length shouldn’t have an effect on recovery time. You’ve either recovered or you haven’t. At least not without putting serious long term health in question.

I originally read an old article. Just found this one which is more up to date. I guess NFL players spend an average of 16 days off the field now. Feels like that isn’t the case. But I guess it is. Probably just seems that way because of guys like Allen or Tyrod who are down for just a bit. Obviously I would prefer to be 5-0. I predicted the team between 8-10 wins. Close wins against bad teams, and blowing it in a winnable game against the Pats haven’t convinced me otherwise yet. This TEN game is one of the most important of the season in terms of needing the win, and having an understanding of where we stand as a team. Both teams match up similarly. To to answer the question. Expected result, yes. Happy with it, no. They have all been winnable to date.

Are you saying that NHL teams are protecting their assets better because they have to pay them anyways, and the NFL doesn’t care because of the money line? Or that NHL players are willing to take more time off because they’re getting paid anyways?

I’m actually less concerned with the “predictability”. And more concerned why we aren’t throwing from under center more. If I had to guess it is so Josh can see the field better in shotgun. Also his poor footwork may be a liability under center. I could be wrong, according to my GF, that happens a lot.

What is it about the two leagues or sports that have such different turn around times when diagnosed with a concussion. In the NFL if a guy misses 3 weeks for a concussion, it is an eternity. JA and a ton of other players come back the next week. A guy like Sidney Crosby misses almost a year. 30% of the NHL misses at least 10 days before going back to practice. The NFL averages about 6 days. Seems like one league/sport is treading more carefully than the other.

What is an actual interesting discussion is how come NHL players miss weeks and sometimes months due to concussions, where as if an NFL player misses 3 games, it’s a long time. What is different about either their protocols or sports that produce such drastic turn around times?
