You won't hear about it because Lamar also threw 3 TD's, completed 64% of his passes, they won the game, and LJ has had moments this season where he has been absolutely unstoppable against and on a 9 game win streak. The Buffalo offense was bad as a whole. Josh has 1 TO and 1 score, completed well under 50% of his passes, been up and down all year, and has had some very good games, but nothing as dominant this year as LJ has had. When Josh becomes more consistent, the media will be more willing to give him a pass on bad days, until then they will question if days like yesterday are defining moments.

We did call a bunch of screens, many of which were absolutely maddening. Our screen game is pretty terrible even with guys like Singletary, Mckenzie, and Foster. It has been bad all year, I don't really understand it. I am unsure if Josh just kept looking deep, trying to make something happen, or there was just a total lack of digs, slants, and crossers. Those would have been really helpful in holding the blitz off. It was clear by about the 4:00 mark that the game plan was trash on offense. Which is concerning given 10 days to put one together.

Most had a TD (except Watson, Dalton, Goff) Everybody threw a pick, Josh did not, but he dd lose a fumble Josh threw for the least yards Josh had the worst Y/A Josh had the worst completion percentage I do not understand the comparable. Dude had a very bad game against a good defense. It is OK, as long as it does not become a pattern moving forward. I don't understand the need for everybody to say he did fine. He didn't. He was bad. Play calling was bad. Offensive line was bad. All of these things can be true, and it does not have to be a pie/mutually exclusive. He has been better the last 3 weeks. Concerning to have this bad of showing against very good defenses. Hopefully this does not become a pattern. We will find out against Pitt and NE, whose DVOA are both better than Baltimore. If JA lays another clunker against Pitt and NE 2.0, there is cause for concern. If he can carve at least one of them up, it is just part of the maturation process.

C is average. This is what people think average QB play looks like in the NFL? -
The Pitt D is up there via DVOA with NE, SF, and BAL. I expect the offense to struggle again. Bills have struggled bad against the top 5 Defenses on the road. But Allen has been better in the road. We need a win before heading into Gillette.

2019 Playoffs. 1st round

The only other defense with a DVOA in the top 10 is NYJ, and that was week one. Pitt is ranked above Baltimore. We’ve struggled quite a bit against defenses ranked up there. Much worse than a coin flip and leaning to bad. -
I agree, he has been better the 2-3 weeks before today. I have posted it here multiple times. Today was terrible.

Josh Allen - week FOURTEEN report card

he regularly left the pocket to early. Rolled left when he should have gone right, and right when he should have gone left. Had poor pocket presence, and held onto the ball too long. The Oline was bad today, yes, but we’ve seen guys in the NFL do much better with much worse. Watson very quick comes to mind. -

How has our offense done against top tier defenses? -
We got our assssessss handed to us today. The score does not due the pounding this offense took justice. “That was as bad as any offense is capable of”-Eric Wood

Are the Bills better on the road?
Mango replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so you’re saying we are coming out of Pitt and NE with W’s. I’ll take it! But seriously, we will find out over the next 3 weeks. This team is capable of beating up on or getting the shyte kicked out of them but just about any team in the NFL. -
It’s Allen’s biggest fault, lack of control with his arm. He throws too hard and too fast all the time. Take a look at Mahomes, he has the ability to throw with nearly identical velocity, but he uses that ability pretty sparingly. The deep ball accuracy is not the disease, it’s the symptom. Fouts mentioned it multiple times today, with a bunch of other criticisms of Allen’s play today that I was fair.

This is a tough thread right after this performance. Yes refs were bad, but they’re the only reason we made it to the red zone. The offense needed to be better today, everything else is a distant second.

What a disgusting Offensive effort

Wk#14 Bills vs Ravens 1st Half Thread 1 pm ET on CBS

I mean we have to see some of the all-22, but I think for many of these drop backs, Allen needs to get the ball out quicker. There has to be somebody who can make a play that isn’t a go route. The O line is getting worked. Allen needs to make the defense pay for bringing the blitz. -
Well, he is locked up for 2 more years. Is this where we go off on whether or not Tremaine could play OLB in this situation? But yes, I would jump at that.

Week 14 - Ravens (-6.5) at Bills Over/Under 44
Mango replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This has to be the most exciting last 4 weeks the Bills have had in maybe a generation. Beat Baltimore, and Buffalo is in the drivers seat, Pittsburgh is a huge deal. Beat Pitt, Holy Shyte, can Buffalo really go into NE and dethrone the axis of evil. Beat NE, jesus, don't embarass yourself against the Jets. Beat the Jets, and the conference runs through OP. Lose to Baltimore, OK maybe they are not for real. Lose to Pitt on primetime, oh look at the Bills, what an uphill climb next week. Lose to NE, The Bills are who we thought they were. Lost to the Jets, well FML Somehow the Bills somehow equally as likely to be the no. 1 seed in the AFC as they are to miss the playoffs. -
Sean McDermott is looking for someone to simulate Lamar Jackson
Mango replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, what would the cost be to get Vick in the building for a week on the PS...or does his retirement prevent that? Somebody said, he won't play a game, so wouldn't count towards the cap. Can we sign and cut Vick from the PS for $100k? Hell Vick could make a career of it. Practice squad to practice squad, $100k a pop, $1.6M on the year, just to pretend to play football. Vick was electric, but LJ is looking like he might be much better. Outside of maybe RG3 (who is also with BAL), I am not sure if anybody else would come close to similar ability or insight into playing style of Lamar. -
They came as close as anybody has in the last few months. There was some questionable calls like their timeouts and the 4th down, that could have changed the outcome.

That’s what I saw today too. Lamar didn’t have a great day through the air and rushed for over 100. If anything if I am Buffalo I game plan to take away Brown and their TE’s. Maintain gap integrity in regards to the run game. Committing to stopping LJ on the ground leaves a ton of options through the air. You can’t stop everything. I think it makes sense to key in on the TE and Brown.
