  1. Match ups aside, beating Brady in a SB is my preferred result.
  2. I have been thinking the same thing. I would absolutely LOVE Brady in the Super Bowl. It is my preferred scenario. My friends and family all think I am bonkers for feeling that way. Buffalo beating Brady would be so cathartic for the city and a perfect way to pass the torch to the Bills going forward.
  3. There is something about the way McD keeps talking about KC and their system/concepts that makes me think he might absolutely be locked in on how to slow them down... ...or he is totally off base and it will be brutal. Can't wait to find out Sunday Night!
  4. Tre White is a national treasure. We keep asking "when is Josh getting a national commercial?". Put Tre on that list, he deserves it as a high profile dude on what is turning into a high profile team.
  5. Who is the replacement for Davis? Stills? Duke? Kumerow?
  6. You know you can like, use the internet, and just like, go back and find this stuff out. Wind was 5mph against the Chiefs, and the guy in the red jersey playing QB completed literally 80% of his passes.
  7. KC was not bad weather. There was a mist for about about 5 minutes then it dried up. Mahomes was 21/26. You can’t call weather a factor when the other guy competed passes at a clip of 80%. For TN I checked the weather for the classic 5pm, Wednesday night match up. The high was like 85, zero rain, and about 3mph winds and 70 degrees during the game. I get it, Allen had some clunkers for a stretch, and we would assume better production out of such a strong armed QB in weather than we have have gotten. But largely he has played VERY WELL all year. Bad games happen. We can’t just look back and go “bad game weather must have been bad” because that isn’t true. It’s foolish.
  8. If the Bills made the Super Bowl we were considering up to 3k per ticket. It’s a bug stretch for us, but figured it was worth it as a one time expense. We don’t ever spend that much on anything and don’t go on a ton of trips. We could have done that a few weeks ago. Even the other day they were at 5k and today they’re at 8k. It’s wild. My SO’s family lives in Tampa. I have enough points to fly us there and back for free.
  9. 103...big spender! We looked into it this week. We couldn’t find enough friends to get to the 6 person group that was in our price point. We have a price point for the SB but we should have looked about 3 weeks ago. It’s about double that at the moment. Long and short, if anybody knows anybody, well take some Super Bowl tickets. Ha
  10. So I have been looking for clarification on that, but have not seen it anywhere. Were you able to dig that up? With any other injury that is the way they would do it. Nobody would load you up with 3 different stressors and hope for the best the next day. So hoping they wouldn't do that with a players noggin. But I get the sense that they might run through multiple stages per day. Especially since the neurologist does not come in until stage 5. I am 99.999% sure he is playing, and that actually cures most of my anxiety about this game. Just get rid of the unknown. Just about every sportsbook streamlined their spread to KC -3 today. They are locking in that Mahomes is playing. Yesterday you could place a bet anywhere from Buffalo -2.5 to KC -3.5.
  11. I was about 95% Mahomes would play because NFL (not actual health). But yesterday the spread was all over the place, you could place a bet at BUF -2.5 with one sportsbook and KC -3.5 on another. Everybody is locked in at KC -3 today. I would take that and run with it and Mahomes is 99.999999% playing on Sunday.
  12. Listen man, his mom used to work for a charity, it is legit!
  13. But like, what if he posts pictures of donations online?
  14. I have asked the same thing. I think you can go through multiple steps in a day. Which I honestly don't understand. Rule of thumb at the Olympic Training Center for (non head) injuries was always check back 48 hours after adding activity. So say I broke my rib (I did), and feel good enough to add running. The best gauge for soreness was day 2 not the next day. So why in hell any player (Josh included) can scramble their eggs and on Sunday, and go through a rest, aerobic work, and balance drills, 3 different steps, in a single day is absolutely wild. It doesn't make any sense. The league is literally helping to kill these guys. It is pretty infuriating.
  15. I think part of the way they’ve made their cap work over the years is they basically have a dead year after Brees retires where they eat $10m still. But that assumed he retired after his contract was up. I don’t know what happens when he retires early.
  16. Stretches, I would do them at my desk at work a couple times per day. It still took me a few months to get full mobility back. But strength took a lot of time after that.
  17. Sorry, I was talking about the daily practice report.
  18. The injury report will let us know. He can’t just practice in 48 hours and then secretly be the starter on Sunday.
  19. This game is a Vegas nightmare. I was looking around today, I’ve seen everything from Buffalo -2.5 to +3 and everything in between. You can basically play whatever spread you want, just need to pick the right bookie.
  20. Let’s just say Thanksgiving is awkward now.
  21. I would assume that would be determined by passing through concussion protocol quickly. Make no mistake 5 days is absolutely FLYING through concussion protocol. You nor I could get a doctor to clear us to play bar league kickball in 5 days let alone play in the NFL if we even so much as hinted at a concussion. There is nothing physiologically gifted about NFL players that allows their brain to heal at some rapid pace compared to soccer, hockey, rugby, etc. NFL concussion protocol is an absolute joke and a very real danger to the health of all of its players. I say that knowing that Josh cleared protocols in a week as well. That shouldn’t be allowed. But this isn’t a merry go round, you can’t just enter or exit when it feels like it doesn’t fit. The only exit is passing protocol.
  22. Assuming that Mahomes can only pass one stage at a time/per day, Mahomes can’t practice until Friday. There is no “normal” for the Chiefs this week.
  23. I pinched my ulnar nerve sleeping once. I lost almost complete use of my entire right hand, and totally lost all feeling and motor skills in my middle, ring, and pinky finger. It took months to get it all back. Which was especially frustrating as a righty.
  24. We keep reading about average time for players 19 days, and 7 days for QBs (which is absolutely wild btw). But the NFL does not give any actual time table for the protocols, which is both not surprising and surprising at the same time. All the league says is you have to run through each step and can't skip any steps. You would think that given the 5 step process, any step should come no sooner than 24 hours, right? Or could a player clear phase 2 and 3 on the same day? When I lived at the Olympic Training Center rule of thumb was basically to take inventory two days later after adding activity. So when I broke my rib, I biked a lot and did all my core work. But when I added running, I would go run and it was OK to be a little sore that day or the next, but it was day 2 post activity that was important. You had to be 100% on day 2. That would indicate that any soreness was something that my body was not overcoming with standard rest, ice, and some time on the physio table. It was an actual set back and you would have to shut back down for a bit.
  25. At the risk of diving much too far down the rabbit hole...and also being wrong... I think that your GP has a larger legal and ethical responsibility to the overall well being of the patient than a consultant does (outside of an actual hospital setting). So yes, if Mahomes GP came out and said he is healthy enough to play there would be ample weight behind that, because the GP is beholden to Mahomes actual well being. But no GP would ever come out and say that their patient is OK to play 7 days post concussion, because they aren't. There is a reason that there are lots of waivers involved. The seal of approval to come back post concussion and play in the NFL is basically "well you probably wouldn't die on the field".
