  1. If you are going to be in the MVP conversation and be a top 5 QB, that makes sense. Maybe he gets a mild slight and pushes to the 15-25 mark? Anything worse than 25 and I think that would be a wild just based on position importance and ranking alone.
  2. That is hilarious. Also would be terrifying. Maybe there is a sense of security being in your Honda Cr-V (or whatever), but you are basically stuck between 100 other CR-V's that might want to ram into you repeatedly. You can't just drive over an animal the size of an SUV to get away. Dead serious, if my family and friends wouldn't wear Bills jerseys to watch me play in the AFC Championship game, I wouldn't give them any tickets. They can buy their own at that point. That is seriously messed up. 2 favorite parts about that video. Love that Belichick made it slamming the phone. Also love the lady smoking in the stands. What an era
  3. I don't get the Baker hype. He is OK, he'll be a top half starter but always sit at the bottom of top 10 or just outside. He won't be nearly as good as Stafford but better than Jeff Garcia. Who ever the douchier version of a QB that falls in that spectrum, that is Baker Mayfield.
  4. Something tells me this award will piss JA off. He feels like he deserves his moment. "Most Improved" feels like a participation trophy.
  5. Shirt man, where is #BillsMafia for this guys go fund me.
  6. Right, I am agreeing with you. I can get to how we got to talking about whether Stills plays or not. Freeman, I do not really get.
  7. Stills, maybe, but that is just based on Davis not practicing at all this week. I don't get the Freeman whispers I have read on the board this week. Did I miss a Singletary or Yeldon injury? I have no proof, but I get the sense that McD is a big loyalty guy when it comes bringing guys up from the PS last minute. If a player has been grinding for him for an entire season, that is the player that is getting the call more often than not. Freeman would have to be embarrassing Williams, Yeldon, etc. daily before he gets the nod.
  8. Concussions aside, doctors generally don't treat injuries when it comes to sports medicine. The team doctor does not treat a torn ACL, strained hamstring, or high ankle sprain. In a lot of cases, they won't even be apart of the diagnosis, let alone recovery. A very good S&C coach should be able to manage injuries and the actual strength and conditioning. Obviously that changes as roster sizes increase, but they are not different skill sets per se. If your athletes are lifting really poorly, you are going to have a super difficult time helping them recover from a herniated disc, etc. Movement is at the heart of most injury and recover in the NFL, there are less broken arms and legs than their are ACL's, hamstrings pulls etc. Lifting weights would be the easiest way for the casual fan to visualize that a lot of NFL players suck at movement under tension.
  9. That is actually not true, like at all, and is true across most of the sport. I could go on a long diatribe, but the easiest way to explain the physiologists and medical care in the NFL is to watch any clips of NFL players in the weight room. Football players are big and strong, and notoriously terrible technical weight lifters. And that is how American Football is approached, just do more, rub some dirt on it, tape it up, give a shot, then do some more. Football in the US has the most money, but they don't provide the best care. US Ski and Snowboard get some of the best doctors in the country. Great Britain and Australia have the best physiology programs in the world. There are a handful of other European programs that do really well. Mahomes, Allen, Tre, etc. coming back to play professional football 7 days from a concussion isn't actually a feather in the cap for healthcare in the NFL, it is a giant scar.
  10. Speaking of KC fans. Where has @Billlbeen?
  11. I don't know why, but I always sort of laugh that I keep seeing Bass on the injury report, practicing in full, with a hand injury.
  12. Don't love Davis being a full no-go two days in a row. Also, Beasley was not on the injury report yesterday at all, but was limited today. Tough to practice passing concepts with WR1 WR3 and WR4 shelved.
  13. To my super stooopid and untrained eye, the thing holding the Bucs back from being firmly mentioned as the best team in the NFC is Bruce Arians. Bare with me here. Bucs play like a collection of great players, not a team. Their defense is top notch, but offensively it looks like Brady is playing in BA's system, they don't look like they are on the journey together. It looks like Brady runs the plays in BA's playbook and calls the plays asked at the line. They aren't terribly methodical which is Brady's strong suit.
  14. Something to think about, nobody commutes to work anymore. That used to be primetime radio talk, now it is where sports talk goes to die. Maybe somebody is paying attention?
  15. Practice was limited for everybody, that is how KC is getting around it. Not a great look in all honesty. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/20/andy-reid-patrick-mahomes-took-all-the-snaps-in-practice-and-feels-good/
  16. Per the full quote, it sounds like Mahomes was a "full participant" in a "limited practice". Which is stupid, obviously. Greasy stuff like this always gets under my skin, stop lying. I hope the Bills absolutely embarrass KC after this stupid circus.
  17. Super curious what limited means, when your HC comes out and says QB1 "took all the snaps in practice". Also, if you hold a "limited practice" for everybody, but QB1 does all of it, was he still "limited"? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/20/andy-reid-patrick-mahomes-took-all-the-snaps-in-practice-and-feels-good/
  18. I thought about that already. I am not sure it makes a huge difference. Any Reid was quoted today as saying "Mahomes took all the snaps" If I am Buffalo, I would run with that as enough. Prep for Mahomes and call it a day. And based on McD's comments about prepping for the system, I don't think this is a huge worry either way. If KC's offense beats us, it won't be because we weren't sure who would play QB. On the same topic, I think the NFL concussion protocol is a joke. If a team physician and/or training staff OK'd a QB to run full practice, classroom, video, etc. work for an entire week, then got declined by an independent neurologist, there should be major consequences for that franchise and the med/training/coaching staff. They have actually put somebody in very real danger for long term issues. Getting hit again isn't the only danger. Even for HS kids, going back to school, reading textbooks, sitting under classroom lights, etc. can be dangerous for long term brain health. Players shouldn't be allowed to play professional football 7 days after seeing stars like we see the QB position do all the time. 2 week minimum for all players should be standard. And that is before you can start practicing. That goes for our own Josh just a season or two ago as well. Hell, none of us could get cleared to go play bar league kick ball 7 days after a concussion, let alone try and not get tackled by the biggest, fastest, and strongest humans on the planet.
  19. Now here is a message board topic. Who was better? Jordan at Basketball or Gretzky at Hockey? @BADOLBILZ, I need you to jump in before I chew off my finger nails!
  20. Taking a deep breath is not some “nancy” or “nail chewing” anxiety. It’s stop trying to compare a 3rd year QB to the greatest player of all time in possibly every sport.Take a deep breath, calm down, enjoy the ride, and stop with one of the worst takes ever. And no. Don’t discuss this topic Monday either. Because it’s stupid and ignorant. Not because I am nervous, or because 1 KC game means that we can start calling Allen the MJ of NFL QB’s. Just to note “Nancy” I’ve won a handful of national championships, so maybe you might want to stay in your lane on nervousness and sports...
  21. I have no idea how or why I keep getting misrepresented here. I just said we should take a deep breath and get through the weekend. The deep breath is because the take is a really bad one. Comparing Allen in year 3, especially after how he performed in years 1 and 2, to probably the most transcendent player in all of sports history is so incredibly stupid (at least to this point) So yes, we should pump the breaks, take a deep breath, and get through the weekend.
  22. No sorry. 3k was the most we would have been willing to pay. Had we looked say a month ago, we might have been able to make it work. But not now.
  23. Bills wearing white on blue. Bold move. We are undefeated in white pants.
  24. Guys, lets take a deep breath and just get through the weekend.
  25. This just blew my mind. I just said my good byes to my SO, the end is near. See you in hell guys!
