Totally agreed. This offense seems to be built to be a TE, play action team with the ability to create multiple coverage mismatches. For whatever reason we absolutely refused lst night.

We have to unless he completely implodes. His cap number is quite large. Cutting him would basically eat up the rest of our space. We’d have to make another cut or restructure somebody on the roster to have room to both navigate injuries and sign another kicker. Right now Bass is about $4.4M on the roster and $7.4 off the roster. Bills have $3.8M in space. We have an out after this season and we save $1M by cutter him next year. Which is likely a lock at this point. (Somebody mentioned a post June designation in another thread a few weeks ago. I cannot think of an example of a mid season cut with a June 1 designation. Unsure if that’s allowed.)

Dude, step off the ledge. Holding a second year TE to the standard of info of the 3 best TE’s to ever play the game is insane. At the moment Kincaid is pretty good which is an excellent trajectory for a kid 4 games into in his second year. Kincaid had a pretty good game today. He wasn’t a problem even worth discussing today. Brady, the OL, Babich, the entire defense, and McD deserve all the blame for this one.

Cams job isn’t just to make the tackle. It’s also to take the play away. Something he hasn’t dont much of. He’s near the top of the list in total tackles. He gets targeted quite a bit.

I said it when he came off the bench and it was true in this game. Spector is slow to react and isn’t seeing the play well. He’s a back up LB who I think will continue to get picked on the longer he’s out there. I feel similar about Cam Lewis. He is near the top in tackles because he’s getting picked on out there. It would be nice to get Hyde back in the building.

Circumstances (SB) aside, that trick play was dumber than throwing the ball on 4th and 1.

Im not going down that road yet. You can be critical of a play without commenting on a guys entire career. Especially this early on.

Cam Lewis is close to the top of the list for tackles because he’s picked on. I still think Ingram has been OK…ish. Spector is still a backup and too slow to react.

That flea flicker was one of the worst play calls in Bills history. Buffalo had the momentum and was moving. He got cute and risky for absolutely zero reason situationally.

I try and stay out of game day threads but I am still absolutely LIVID about that flea flicker play call. One of the worst play calls in Bills history without hyperbole. Just as bad as calling for a FB to be the primary read on a must have 4th down in the playoffs. Buffalo had the momentum. That’s fair. But I am using it as a bit of a catch all for the wording around the offense this year. It feels like it’s been particularly pointed since before Allen’s recent stats comment.

A lot of things can be true at the same time without being so binary. Do I think Brady designed an entire offense to spite Diggs? No that’s insane. Do I think that all the frequent use of language like “everybody eats” has some correlation to the guy who just told the world that he forced two teams to move on from him and wants to chase his own stat line? Yes. Does Josh “I don’t know who the fork they thought I was” Allen keep receipts? Yes, he has a record of it , and not to mention he’s named one of the biggest trash talkers in the league .

When my GF reaches an audience of millions talking about how important her personal stats are. Then I sit in front of a microphone 2 weeks later to reach the same audience of millions and specifically mention how not important stats are to me and my new GF, then yes those two things are at the very least partially related.

Pat MacAfee addressed pretty early the next day. Darius Butler agreed. Like him or hate him PM is pretty talented at what he does. EDIT: Point is, you don’t have to be a talentless slug to think that the entire vocabulary around this offense is purposefully anti-Diggs I also do not believe that this is not at least somewhat directed at Diggs. Very recently Stef openly talked about how he is chasing stats 4500 yards so he can get into the HoF conversation. And went as far as to say he forced his way out his last two teams. Ignoring that context would be willfully naive. It’s nice of Josh to say he wasn’t directing that comment at Diggs, and maybe he didn’t mean to publicly undress Diggs so passive aggressively like that. But the entire ethos of the offense “everybody eats” and we’re not chasing stats is 100% rooted in turning the page from Stef.

If they go 3-0 and then beat KC a few weeks later they’ll be hands down Super Bowl favorites by a wide margin. But talking about it and doing it are totally different things. Baltimore is the biggest test so far by quite a bit.

Agreed. And as good as the defense has been Spector is still a back up and to my eye has been hesitant/indecisive at times. I think he gets picked on in closer games. I think this game will help define how far Spector, Lewis, and Williams can take us if need be.
