  1. He has been a leader of some pretty good defenses here even when we did not make the playoffs. He has been a good team guy and a huge part of breaking ending the drought. It is noteworthy that our first two playoff appearances, the defense carried us there. Just from a pure leadership perspective in breaking the streak, I say yes. But he is a distant 3rd behind Fred and Kyle.
  2. If he doesn’t figure it out with those guys, he probably won’t ever figure it out.
  3. Right. Sort of my point. Just saying Stevie Johnson Buf-SF is not nearly enough color.
  4. I have absolutely zero idea what I am looking at. Like at all. I don't know who Beau Allen is. Also how is Stevie Johnson involved? He was drafted in 2008. We traded for BB in 2014. Sure, there is probably a connection, but just listing names doesn't help at all.
  5. And we still suck at running the ball and sacking the QB. 😂 (I am kidding, kind of)
  6. Maybe, like, message boards aren’t your thing.
  7. I mean this is a message board about the NFL draft. You could post “you have know way of knowing this” after all 32 draft picks today and 98% of all the posts on the internet.
  8. I haven’t been super impressed with Epenesa as a whole. I’ve questioned him in this thread. It feels like he projects out to Chris Kelsey. Better than serviceable. I will say I thought AJ was able to be pretty disruptive at time’s at the very backend of the season. It seems like he started to make the most of his limited snaps.
  9. Hughes has had a highly productive career in Buffalo. He may be on the downside now, but even that downside is still the best on the roster at the moment. I’m not looking to replace 2020 JH. We need somebody as disruptive as his 2014-2018 stretch.
  10. Honest question to the college gurus, @MAJBobby @NewEra @GunnerBill Do you project either Epenesa or Rousseau to be able to replace Hugh’s at a high level in the next 2-3 years? We don’t have a huge stable of pass rushers so one of these guys will have to perform at a comparable level or we are in the same spot as we are right now.
  11. I’ll refer to the draft gurus here. He was a guy in my peripheral so I don’t know a ton. Given the fact we’ve spent our first pick 3 years in a row on Oliver, Epeneza, and Rousseau, I’m not totally sure that’s a dominant line when you factor in the cost. Everybody is young and it’s still very wait and see. I have faith Oliver can be a player so we will see.
  12. As JOK drops he is no doubt able to double as a towel rack. No hands.
  13. Yeah but in Madden I resign as many players as possible then trade away all my draft picks every year until my guys get old. Then I have like 12 picks in the top 100. So who is to say what’s right or wrong...
  14. Even if you reminded 15 years when a RB was a premium position in the draft, I just don’t see him as a first rounder. Pair that with the fact that’s it’s 2021 and RB is sort of a luxury pick in the first, I just don’t get it. Take that with a grain of salt. I’m not a huge college football guy.
  15. Good for them I guess. I still don’t get the Harris hype as a first round pick.
  16. If Farley were healthy he’d be a top 10 pick. Injuries aside if you don’t take a talented press man corner in today’s NFL because of “scheme” there is something wrong with coaching. There’s always a spot for a high quality press man CB. I would like to think McBeane wouldn’t operate that way.
  17. Allen is literally farmer strong. Those guys don’t regularly end up in the SI body issue.
  18. We’ve also never seen a picture of Josh without a shirt on. We have no idea what’s going on under there. I would guess Josh looks closer to this than he does Cam. Jones is still a bad QB.
  19. Right. DE could be BPA. I was more commenting on a bunch of posts on this board and thread about how we “have” to draft a DE because that’s the biggest need. If DE is BPA go for it. I have no issues.
  20. I am not a college guru like @GunnerBill or @NewEra but to me it doesn’t feel like there is any value at DE at 30 other than need. If a top 4 CB drops that low I think you run to the podium. Otherwise it is BPA. Reaching for a mediocre pass rusher at 30, when you already have a mediocre pass rush, is how franchises get behind the 8 ball long term.
  21. My knee jerk reaction to the numbers change was that I didn't like it for no other good reason than tradition/it was what I was used to. I am doing my best to not grow into a curmudgeon, so I just kept saying, "meh, it is just numbers, it will be fine". But I think Tom is on to something here. There will for sure be a learning curve.
  22. I mean kind of. The NFL is the company, the teams are franchises. So by entering the draft you’re choosing to work for the NFL. If you break it down like other franchises, you don’t get to pick necessarily which McDonalds, Walmart, Applebee’s etc. you work at. If the opening is on Delaware in N. Buffalo, you can’t just say “but I want to work on Sheridan”. Their response would be “We’re hiring on Delaware right now. Work on Delaware or don’t work at Applebee’s”
  23. He was family friends of a friend of mine. By all accounts he is good people. He actually 1. Lived in city limits and 2. Stayed here almost all year long. It is and was refreshing. How many players, QB or otherwise, talk about loving Buffalo, or whatever city they play for, only to pack up and go to California, Florida, or where ever as soon as the clock hits zero on the final game of the season. “I want to call Buffalo home forever” -95% of current and former Bills players on Instagram from their homes in California.
  24. I’m not sure if it’s weak. It just feels like a super tough year for scouting. This year was so different for every school and team. Do you rely on 2019 tape? More questions than answers. I am guessing we see more misses at the top of the draft and more over performers in lower rounds. The draft is a bit of a crap shoot in a good year. This will be even more.
