  1. Im actually most surprised at the price difference to go to games in the same stadium, like LA and NJ. Also, we get relatively worked on concession in Buffalo. It feels like that’s been happening for a bit, but it’s gotta be pretty bad given the fact that ticket prices are so cheap.
  2. The league and the owners can easily afford to at least have a flat cap for the 2021 season without taking a major/measurable loss. They are just taking money out of the players pockets and putting it in their own. Lowering the cap is not a move required to "keep the lights on".
  3. SHOCKED at Richard Sherman projecting to get $14M AAV. That is top 10 money. Sherman is not a top 10 CB anymore. I thought he would get somewhere around $10M, but even that seemed a little high.
  4. God, could you imagine how appalled she would be if she found out about the Stanley Cup? And that’s actually just like, one trophy, that lasts forever. Not one made every year and replicas given to another 80 people. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditions_and_anecdotes_associated_with_the_Stanley_Cup
  5. Not just against KC, but we play a lot of off coverage. Or at the very least not very much press at all. If I had to guess, we have a decent win rate at the line, but give to much cushion for completions before we can get there. DL is a major need, run stop proves that. But we still have major issues with DB depth. Tre, Poyer, and to a lesser extent Hyde, are carrying that unit on their backs.
  6. People making a big deal over this like it’s the Stanley Cup. They make like 100 SB trophies every year for the entire team.
  7. This is pretty drastic. As much as we want it to be over, Tom looked pretty good on Sunday. When you say a defense carried a Super Bowl Victory, I am thinking something closer to the 2015 Broncos where Manning completed like 50% of his passes for like 150 yards. Brady in his last 2 Super Bowls was a total of 42/64, 463 yards, 3 TD's, and 1 INT. At worst he has been efficient on two pretty good/well rounded teams. And in both games, that efficiency seems to have been the difference between rings 6/7 and no rings at all. And that stone cold efficiency/consistency is what makes Brady the GOAT. He is an accurate passer with the right stuff between the ears, who hardly ever waivers in performance. There are 100 other QB's with higher highs, that if they could hold a higher/more steady midline, would be just as good or better than TB.
  8. Political reasonings aside, I thought that the Mahomes v Brady story line was compelling enough heading into the game, at least on a macro level. Sort of, "does the old man have enough left in the tank to stop Mahomes from being King of the Hill?" I don't have the same hate for Brady in the NFC, and KC fans have become super insufferable VERY QUICKLY. Feels like they became that way overnight, where as Patriots fans at least took a few seasons to get there. The last thing I wanted was Mahomes to win on Sunday, and I am glad he got absolutely embarrassed. I will say, I do not think that largely, fans like "super teams" The NFL is not the NBA, but given the offensive firepower, KC and TB are about as close as you will get with AB, TB, Gronk, Godwin, Evans vs. Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, Watkins. I have literally zero data to support this. It just feels that way.
  9. This, he has openly said he won't play with any other QB other than Brady. He will either retire (again) all together or sign a deal in TB. Also, considering the current trajectory of WR and Kittle/Kelce contracts, a TE light Gronk with an AAV of $9M seems like a steal. The guys cap hit this year was less than Brown, Hughes, and Addison.
  10. I thought he might as well. He had a great game, but as TB took over the game, he became less of a factor/production puttered out. I thought Fournette had a bunch of great runs and was effective in the receiving game, if they kept riding him and he gotten a second TD he could very well have been deserving of it. All in all giving it to Brady was fine. You can't get the MVP to an entire unit or side of the ball. 3 TD's, 72%, no turn overs, and just 1 sack, is MVP production, especially when nobody else a super disruptive stat line.
  11. Mahomes clearly shooken up after that hit. Nobody even checked on him. NFL doing their best to scramble a Mahomes eggs this year. RIP Mahomies brain.
  12. It looks like Poyer does a lot of backing up for Edmunds in both the pass and run game. It’s a big part of why we struggle with multi dimensional teams like KC, Indy, and Tennessee. I agree with another poster that said you keep Edmunds because the chances of upgrading aren’t great. Give him his 5th year and some more time, but I wouldn’t extend him. At least not for more than 10M per year. If Milano could stay healthy (snap count, not games played), this decision would be a no brainer.
  13. That is fair. I am just saying, why make it more complicated than it needs to be. Houston will need a replacement. Unless the Raiders are trying to do right by Carr and not send him into that shirt hole.
  14. If Houston is trading Watson, they are now a QB needy team. Why not just package Carr in the trade rather than get a haul, just to flip it. Carr and a 2 x 1st rounders and call it a day.
  15. Could you imagine how unstoppable this offense would be with Gibran Hamden slinging the rock to dudes like Da’Rick and Duke. Throw Christian Wade in the backfield, can you you say super bowl? Beane, asleep at the wheel again...
  16. Dad? Is that you? Quick, if this is really you, what’s my favorite football team?
  17. A page right out of the CJ Spiller/Sean Peyton playbook!
  18. I noticed this too. I would have to go back and see if he was actually overpursing or getting bumped off by the OT. I was thinking it might be the reason that they had him line up at RDE and Hughes at LDE so often. Somebody had to keep contain on Mahomes front side because he is a good enough runner. But I didn't get why they didn't just dress Murphy in that case. Granted it is waaaaay more important with Lamar, but it worked well, and Hughes had a great day doing it that way. Either way I did notice Epenesa seemed to be in the backfield quite a bit, just never making a play or getting his hands on the QB.
  19. I would argue that outside of Allen, and a couple other players who "might" develop into that, that is basically what we got out of Beane's drafts as well. These are picks from rounds 1-4 by Beane. Not bad, don't get me wrong. But not really any huge impact players in that bunch. Epenesa Moss Davis Oliver Ford Singletary Knox Edmunds Phillips Taron Johnson
  20. What a weird year for scouting and drafting. There has not really been much ability to watch anybody play. Most college football was cancelled this year. Seems like this would be another good draft to trade for a player you like already in the league rather than college kid. Much like the Diggs move.
  21. I don't think we need to have a balanced attack like an Indy, Tennessee, etc. We just need the ability to kill you with the run game if you don't respect it. A guy like Fournette (football ability, not the person) would go a long way. We can make up these kinds of plays with passing concepts too. We seem to never put Josh behind center for a super quick 3 step drop. I don't get it.
  22. The problem is, we didn’t ride the horse that got us there, and that’s Josh. We needed Josh in rhythm AND to get hot. The team needed him to walk out there with his balls in a wheelbarrow and let everything else fall into place. Instead we played conservative zone coverage in D and tried to impress with our run game that never works. Part of me thinks the trying to force the run early was because we knew our WR were banged up. We had 4 beat up WR starting, one with a broken effing leg. McKenzie has proven to be effective in the slot, and Stills should have at least dressed for some spot duty, if, you know, you noticed your receivers couldn’t get open. I would have made Robert’s a healthy scratch. Roberts is only going to flip the game against KC if the rest of the team is firing on all cylinders. By the middle of Q2 the writing was on the wall. We should have put the game on Josh’s shoulders and immediately started with the QB power runs and get him rolling. I know everybody is afraid of the Houston game. The other option is what we got out of him in Indy. I think Whaley is being a bit kind here by only calling out the conservative concepts in this game. The management and use of the WR corps was just as bad. I like McD a ton. I think he might be the best coach we have ever had. But the staff lost this one before the coin toss. I am not going to call out any players based on this game alone. I have thoughts on who should stay, go, be demoted, traded, extended, etc. this year, but the KC game didn’t sway me at all. (Except for Yeldon. Watching him block and catch out of the backfield, I think he’s the best RB on the roster)
