  1. Maybe, maybe not. There were something like 18 RB’s drafted, and this seemed to be a weak class in a weird year, so he has as good a shot as any to be better than “a bunch”. (however many that is)
  2. Also, seems like the NFL should not try and hold any games in London this year. Seems like the logistics and regulations around international travel are still a bit up in the air. If I were the league, I would pause the series until 2022.
  3. Good call. I originally read it as Tampa @ Dallas so I did not even consider it. I think Buffalo @ Tampa is as good a match up as any on their schedule and put the odds the same as Dallas, Carolina, Atlanta, and Chicago. It is kind of wild that it seems the Bills might have a 20% chance of opening the season with NFL Kickoff.
  4. It is Tampa @ NE. I wouldn't be shocked if the league went divisional and Carolina @ TB especially with Darnold's new home. I don't see a Taysom Hill/Jameis Winston led Saints team opening the season in TB. Maybe Matt Ryan and the Falcons or Fields and the Bears? I think Buffalo vs. Tampa is the best home match up on their schedule. SB contenders vs. SB champs. Unsure if I want the Bills to open the season for the league. I would prefer to low key get on a role before heading into Primetime and a full stadium for the first time in a year.
  5. Looking at the TB opponents Buffalo stands a good chance at opening the season in TB.
  6. Not to mention with the way the last year and half has gone players from lesser programs get an even smaller look than usual. I didn't watch a ton of UB games but reading some scouting reports I get why he would be a borderline UDFA. Ran a 4.51 and is small. Not a great pass catching option. Hesitates to hit the hole. Does not trust his running lane. Takes a long to accelerate out of cuts. That said, even though we already seem to have a version of him on the roster, the kid seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder. I would not have been mad if Buffalo took a flyer in the 7th or UDFA.
  7. I think the Bills list of needs will be about the same next year. I don't see the RB room performing exponentially better this year. With the way McD brings along rookies, national pundits will still say DE is a major need. I think DL and CB become more of a priority next year.
  8. Right. I have largely been looking at cap dollars by group across the league. Projecting Edmunds at $15M + Milano put the Bills in the top 5-7ish range in terms of LB spending. That is just two guys and not accounting for Klien/depth. We just don't get the return you would hope for based on that sort of resource allocation. Part of my fear there probably comes from having the most expensive DL in the league for almost no return. We don't have near a top 5 LB corp so I have an issue with an extension that allocates resources as if we do.
  9. This is a fair take. Most of the head scratching will be whether or not people grade Tre vs. Mahomes or Mahomes vs. the class as a whole. My only disagreement in your grading, and it is super minor, is Peterman. The dude was a dud, don't get me wrong, but I look at most picks outside of the 4th as "meh". If you find value, great. If you don't it's the 5th, 6th, 7th round. Those picks don't work out all the time. Tough to hold it against the FO. Sure, there is always a guy there that turned out to be a stud, but it's not wild that a guy drafted in the 5th 6th, 7th don't make it through camp. If it weren't for actually naming him the starter he could still be our QB3 (what a wild thought).
  10. I think most of us who aren't either, "Edmunds is the best" or "Edmunds is a bust" agree here. Most of the back and forth is just value in dollars. He has major talent and is an athletic freak. Keep the dude around. I just start to scratch my head at any long term valuation that starts to exceed $12M by a large margin
  11. I think the changes to the Pro Bowl have DRASTICALLY devalued getting selected to it. I like Edmunds, but would agree the estimations on an extension, and maybe even the 5th year option, are higher value than his actual performance. I am fine with the 5th year tag. I think Edmunds is closer to an $11M value than $12M and change. But I won't split hairs. Some of the estimates I have read at $15M + seem absolutely wild. But we aren't there yet.
  12. He has been a leader of some pretty good defenses here even when we did not make the playoffs. He has been a good team guy and a huge part of breaking ending the drought. It is noteworthy that our first two playoff appearances, the defense carried us there. Just from a pure leadership perspective in breaking the streak, I say yes. But he is a distant 3rd behind Fred and Kyle.
  13. If he doesn’t figure it out with those guys, he probably won’t ever figure it out.
  14. Right. Sort of my point. Just saying Stevie Johnson Buf-SF is not nearly enough color.
  15. I have absolutely zero idea what I am looking at. Like at all. I don't know who Beau Allen is. Also how is Stevie Johnson involved? He was drafted in 2008. We traded for BB in 2014. Sure, there is probably a connection, but just listing names doesn't help at all.
  16. And we still suck at running the ball and sacking the QB. 😂 (I am kidding, kind of)
  17. I mean this is a message board about the NFL draft. You could post “you have know way of knowing this” after all 32 draft picks today and 98% of all the posts on the internet.
  18. I haven’t been super impressed with Epenesa as a whole. I’ve questioned him in this thread. It feels like he projects out to Chris Kelsey. Better than serviceable. I will say I thought AJ was able to be pretty disruptive at time’s at the very backend of the season. It seems like he started to make the most of his limited snaps.
  19. Hughes has had a highly productive career in Buffalo. He may be on the downside now, but even that downside is still the best on the roster at the moment. I’m not looking to replace 2020 JH. We need somebody as disruptive as his 2014-2018 stretch.
  20. Honest question to the college gurus, @MAJBobby @NewEra @GunnerBill Do you project either Epenesa or Rousseau to be able to replace Hugh’s at a high level in the next 2-3 years? We don’t have a huge stable of pass rushers so one of these guys will have to perform at a comparable level or we are in the same spot as we are right now.
  21. I’ll refer to the draft gurus here. He was a guy in my peripheral so I don’t know a ton. Given the fact we’ve spent our first pick 3 years in a row on Oliver, Epeneza, and Rousseau, I’m not totally sure that’s a dominant line when you factor in the cost. Everybody is young and it’s still very wait and see. I have faith Oliver can be a player so we will see.
  22. As JOK drops he is no doubt able to double as a towel rack. No hands.
  23. Yeah but in Madden I resign as many players as possible then trade away all my draft picks every year until my guys get old. Then I have like 12 picks in the top 100. So who is to say what’s right or wrong...
