  1. I thought salt potatoes were a Syracuse thing? Poor Rochester.
  2. It depends on where you look. Like the DEC, NYSED, and NYS Comptroller don't don't consider Rochester part of WNY. Which is sort of the point. Rochester is a bit homeless in terms of being firmly apart of a region. Here we are, debating where the hell Rochester belongs, and it is exactly why they are grasping so tight to the Garbage Plate. It is sort of like when your parents get remarried later in life to somebody with kids but you are sort of an adult. They are technically your stepbrother/sister. But also, they are just sort of people in your life by marriage, so not really. That is Rochester. Nobody considers Syracuse part of WNY. At least nobody in Buffalo or Syracuse.
  3. This one devolved much quicker than I thought it would. I set the bar pretty low to begin with.
  4. Unpopular opinion/Hot Take. The Garbage Plate is not a thing. It is a conglomeration of ingredients. There is no unifying sauce, seasoning, flavor, or technique. Yours might be cheeseburger, pasta salad, french fries, and mustard. I might go with hashbrowns, hotdogs, mac and cheese, with ketchup and hot sauce. But Rochester steps up and goes, "yup, both of those things you ordered, ours, they are the same, that is us, we own this "dish"". Rochester is in no mans land and they are just begging to be attached to something and the best they could come up with was this garbage plate. They only have minor league sports. They are too far away to be considered part of WNY. People don't totally affiliate them with the finger lakes, at least from outside the region. Syracuse does a little bit better job of that. Syracuse also has the Orange. Flanking Rochester on either side of the 90 are two cities with some sort of national notoriety. An identity. A thing. The Garbage Plate is Rochester's stupid attempt to be "known for something" like the middle child acting out in school for attention.
  5. Stevie Johnson. Does god still hate you?
  6. Right, got that far. I just watched the 1:30 from the posters time stamp and didn't understand how it was relevant. Huge possibility here that I am a dumb-dumb.
  7. I have no idea wtf is going on here. Is that Donnie Osmond? Haha.
  8. I keep thinking about QB play, but that defense was really good last year. They managed to win games with a TE behind center. They could be in a rough spot by the time they get to November. I could see them "possibly" dropping 5 before NOV. SEA, GB, and TB, plus two more. Unpopular board opinion, the Pats won't be the easy out for any team like they were at the back end of 2020. My wallet is rooting for NO to lose 2 of NE, CAR, or WAS. GB @CAR @NE NYG @WAS BYE @SEA TB
  9. My luck will absolutely be that Winston is lighting it up this year. NOLA will have a major outbreak circa October and capacity will be reduced to 25%. Now I will end up just watching the game at the Air BnB.
  10. Don't get me wrong, some of the issue most definitely comes from the OL. I just think it is much less than 80%. I agree, the line is much better suited for pass pro. If you're OL is built to be the best at OL, a slow, hesitating, non-physical back, is going to have a very tough time no matter how many people he can make miss in a phone booth.
  11. That’s sort of what I’m thinking. Also I can’t find anywhere what stadiums are selling ticket wise vs. capacity. I’m gonna take my chances and wait this one out.
  12. Has anybody been to a Thanksgiving game? Curious about ticket prices and timing. There are going to be 6 of us. Looks like we are $250+ to sit way up high. I’m thinking sticker price is high since the season is just kicking off. I can’t imagine NO is all that great with either Hill or Winston. I’d expect to see a price drop. When I lived in OKC I thought of hitting a Dallas game on Thanksgiving just because it was something to do. They were a quality team, Romo was playing, and I could grab tickets the week before at sun $200. Any thoughts?
  13. I’ve never been to NOLA but we are psyched. We just booked a 3 bedroom house for the Thanksgiving game Wednesday to Sunday. Figured we can fill the rooms with other couples, friends, etc. in short order. Also it let’s us piece out the cost. Place to stay, tickets, flight, so it doesn’t feel like one lump sum. If anybody is considering it, I’d start looking. We got our Air BnB, whole house, 3 queen beds, 300 bucks per night. Most stuff is 3-500, not too crazy. I bet it starts to go up as things begin to open and tickets go on sale. I’ll be following this thread for sure.
  14. Well somebody has a bee in their bonnet. I hope Singletary and Moss have huge years. It means we didn’t waste 2 3rd rowing picks in a row on a position that still needs upgrading. In a weird way I think we want to hope it’s the RB’s and not the OL. That can at least mean we can approach it like the QB or WR room of 2017 and shuffle some people around. Don’t make the same mistake twice kind of thing. But if the problem is 80% OL like you say, we have MAJOR issues from the FO down. Because it’s not a “whoops we missed on a draft pick here, and over valued a FA there” it’s a “We went out and picked up the highest paid OC in the league, grabbed some other FA’s, then re-signed our guys to some pretty major extensions”. We have the 3rd most expensive OL in the league now”That’s a major failure in talent identification, cap management, scouting, coaching, etc. I mean it’s possible. We let Wyatt Teller get away. But we should all really hope this isn’t the case. All the best Mrs. Singletary.
  15. So, like, sarcasm is a thing.... I don't think we need 3 new running backs, no. I don't think I have ever said that either. I am in the Singletary is not good enough a RB to do what the Bills need him to do camp. I think it is difficult to have a good NFL backfield with two slow shifty guys. Moss has some more physicality to him than Devin, and for whatever reason it looked like Moss also is a little more explosive. I find DS hesitant at times as well. I thought Moss was the better back in 2020. I am most certainly not rooting for Singletary's failure. In fact, I am very much rooting for his success at the moment since he is still part of the RB stable. I don't know a ton about Brieda, so as far as I am concerned DS is still very much the lead horse in the running for RB1. "I told ya so's" are worth much less than wins to me. But it is an internet message board, so I have done the message board thing and have (gasp) given my opinion on some of the players on the roster at times even if they are at times unfavorable. Sorry to offend Mrs. Singletary.
  16. Hi Mrs. Singletary. Devin is a nice young man.
  17. Oh, cool, I was hoping he could get heavier and slow down some...
  18. Well that is wild. Also awesome. Jerseys during that era were nearly identical too. You can make an exception for out of conference teams. Hell, even out of division teams.
  19. But he has Sunday ticket.... This reminds me of a guy I used to work with when I lived in OKC. He grew up an OSU fan, but he said he was also an OU fan. I asked how the fudge that could be the case. Like I could be a fan of both because I was just a transplant. But you can't just grow up a "fan" then also suddenly be a "fan" of your cross town rival. His response was "My wife got season tickets through work, and you can't go to X OU games per year and not be a fan". College football fandom is weird to me sometimes. It is also a good reminder that every town, team, school, etc. thinks they have the best fans in the world, but most don't. Most don't. You would almost never catch a GB fan rooting for the Vikings. I can't imagine really anybody in the AFCN getting season tickets to any other team. But Patriots fans? Sure they'll root for the Bills when the wind blows the right way. Some people just don't get it.
  20. Right, but you also miss like 4-6 Bills games because you are at the Jets game and the Bills play at the same time. Seems like you are most certainly losing out on this deal.
  21. That’s back to back to back HoF QB to you sir! The level of disrespect Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame legend and former Packers starting QB, Don Majkowski, gets around here is unbelievable. Shhh, people are too busy sharpening their pitchforks.
  22. Bills were undefeated in all white last year. I also think they look slick.
  23. I mean, we drafted Josh when Nate Peterman was in the building. So who is to say…
