“Shouldn’t be news” But also it’s 2021 and the NFL has NEVER had a player come out as gay. It is 2021 and nearly 27,000 players have dressed for an NFL, and this is the first time. The NFL is antiquated. Maybe this is news, and some thing we talk about and normalize, so we don’t have to wait until 20 effing 21 for an NFL player to come out of the closet.

I don’t think he is a hot take guy. I think he has guys he’s a huge fan of as either players and/or human, and sometimes that skus his rankings. I think if A-A-Rod would have just played rather then been a huge cry baby this off season, it probably goes the other way. Rodgers played football at an absurd level last year.

If I had NFL money, a Lamborghini Urus would be pretty low on my list of super cars.

I actually done mind a lot of the black unis. A bunch look pretty cool. I think OSU does an alright job with them. Stanford should be cool, but it’s not. Duke blows. There is just something about football gear that inherently has less swagger or “drip” as the kiddos on the internet call it today. Maybe it’s the bulky pads, or the amount of equipment? Or the jersey pants, socks, helmet? Maybe there are just too many things that are part of the uniform? But like I said, the NBA does a TON of cool gear. And teams have multiple cool jerseys. I don’t get why football misses. I feel like hockey misses a lot too. But the NHL sometimes does that to themselves. Like how did the Sabres totally whiff on the opportunity to do the Buffalo head jersey in blue and gold?

Since it is an Olympic year and we are talking uniforms, I think uniforms at the Olympics should be the colors in their flags. In some cases it is the country's fault. Like why is Italy using blue so often, but they don't have blue in their flag. In other cases it is all GB's fault. Like come on NZ and AUS, just drop the union jack and be yourselves. Everything you do just oozes all black or green/yellow. Just have a flag that reps that. You are not a colony anymore.

I think the NFL is trying to avoid what is going on in college. Which is fair. I think most college football jerseys are trash. At least most of the wild iterations. For whatever reason most of the camo prints and chrome helmets look bad. Football has had a tough time making uniforms look cool. I generally like some traditionalism when it comes to uniforms, as in your uniform is your uniform, and it shouldn't change regularly or have a million variations. But honestly, I like A LOT of the NBA gear. Most jerseys are cool, teams have a bunch of them, and I never feel like anything is lost. If the NFL were to go down that road, they have to make sure they are hitting on a high percentage of teams jerseys or else it will look stupid.

I actually saw the Bills logo the other day where they swapped the red stripe for the Zubaz pattern. It looked pretty good. There is probably a cool way to do something with the jersey stripes that aren’t as awesome/obnoxious as the full pants. It would be dope if the sleeves and long sleeves that the players wear were zubaz print.

Re: the red helmets, I am “meh” on it. I think the team was so mediocre to bad for so long after the 90’s that people want to go back to that time. Not that those helmets actually look better. I think the current uniform iteration is probably the best it’s ever been for the Bills.

I actually think that the Saints will be a decent team this year. Their defense was very good last year. Winston will either make the adjustments needed and they’ll win 10-12 games or he won’t and Hill will win 8-10. Just good enough to keep prices high. But hoping they blow.

I got an Airbnb already for pretty cheap. But tickets are still pretty expensive now. $250 ea for nosebleeds after taxes and fees for 6. I’m holding out and hoping they drop.

I was just talking to somebody about this the other day, but in regards to football pads. Like on one hand they’ve become a weapon. Guys are just torpedoing their bodies at each other. But on the other hand, a guy like Ray Lewis hitting me at full speed without pads might stop my heart. But seriously, I could die.

He has had 7 consecutive years over 1k yards receiving. He has very quietly been an absolute thoroughbred and would have been worth the cost we paid for Watkins.

Mike Evans has rather quietly had an amazing start to his career. At least relatively. This board Hs talked a lot about OBJ being on the board, but Evans is the big miss here. It also feels like half that class was signed by the Bills at some point.

Given the fact that how the team structured practice revolves around vaccines it’s a necessary and reasonable question. Josh is also free to answer it personally or not. I don’t have a huge issue with asking because it is football related. I also don’t have a huge issue with him keeping those conversations internal.

Cool beans. Maybe it’s me and my middle class brain/income but this would absolutely drive me bonkers in my SO. Paying to send my GF on 2 very expensive international vacations in a matter of 4 weeks without bringing in much/any independent income would drive me up a wall. Then again, I don’t make NFL money. Is Josh at OTA’s? His GF posted on Instagram about being at the Monaco Grand Prix, so I assumed Josh was with her not realizing OTA’s were the very next day. That would be a wild turnaround if he was. Or a wild expense to send your GF for the weekend with her friends and not go too.

I mean, Josh was in Monaco this weekend for the Grand Prix, maybe OP is onto something we don’t know. Maybe Ferrari was so star struck by Allen and his future wealth that they forgot to check the right side of the Leclercs drive shaft/gearbox after he crashed.
