So, Cole Beasley.... He came into the league with all of his teeth. Then he made $27,000,000.... Why is he still missing a tooth?

Next years DL room looks a lot different-ish. for sure. Butler, Hughes, Harrison, Addison, Zimmer, Obada are all in the final years of their contracts Hughes might be a guy who is allowed to stay around as long as he wants to play kind of thing. But he is not getting anymore $10M AAV. He will have to take a pay cut and sign short term deal. I think 2 out of the 3 of Butler, Addison, and Philips are not back next year.

Ah sorry. I counted the 72 Dolphins. My bad.

Great info. But I hate that I have to read this right to left.

I was pretty confident Josh would be the AFC POW after the Chiefs game. But Lamar just put up 500 yards by himself. Woof.
-
Lamar was the better player for the Ravens in 18 and 19 than Josh was for the Bills. Josh is non-traditional, in that he is a throwback. But you watch him play and you go, "oh Cam" or"that reminded me of Favre or Elway". Josh also has a super non-traditional path through college, and pro progression. Anybody who said they knew Josh would be the guy he is now is full of poo. He is an absolute one in a million story. The fact that he is playing the way he is given how he played in college and when he first came into the league is remarkable. Teams should not try and replicate it, it is a waste of time and resources. The dude is all moxy, all guts, a total dawg, and I love that I am here for it. Lamar does not really have any peers as a QB in the NFL, I think it makes it tough for people to wrap their head around whether he is good or bad. Would I trade Josh for Lamar? No absolutely not. But the guy is a great player in the league right now. Maybe not to you, but to the board, it does seem like it has become popular to parrot, "but he's just a running back" or, "not a good enough passer", like he is Tim Tebow or some nonsense. The guy is a proficient passer.

It’s not patently false. In fact my company will clear your entire personal phone remotely the day you quit or get fired. It is server dependent. In order to connect to your Microsoft exchange server the general agreement gives your company full access, including texts. Your company may or may not take advantage of it. But you waive your right to privacy.

I imagine @vincec in HR getting fired for sending a crass email internally, just reprimanding the HR person. “Well if you saw my email you better read every single email that has ever been sent to or from this company. EVER! Or you can’t fire me!” Sometimes I feel like I live in an alternate reality. This isn’t how any part of the world works.

I think you’re muddling a whole bunch of things together. I think the 2021 Bills handle the Ravens. I think the Bills can handle any team in the league. Lamar Jackson is a talent and profieicient passer. LJ8 makes the Ravens a tough match up for any team in the league. Win or lose. It is a lot to defend. And as we saw tonight, and over and over again. No lead is safe. No team matches up well against the Ravens because of their QB. Some maybe better than others. But none terribly well. Agreed with this. I am one who thinks MVP should go to the most valuable player to their team. Lamar is in that conversation even though he may or may not be a better player than anybody on that list.
-
Lamar belongs in the MVP conversation. (Well behind Allen of course)

Under no circumstances am I picking Baltimore over Buffalo in 2021. But the Bills are 1-1 against Lamar. Weird flex to say they haven’t cause problems for us. This Bills team I think is a standard deviation better than the league at the moment. But I don’t love going against LJ.
-
He’s a proficient passer. He makes it tough on teams. Lamar and the Ravens are beatable for sure. But they’re a tough match up for all 31 franchises
-
Lamar Jackson puts the team on his back every week. I don’t care if it’s prototypical. He’s a talent and an exciting player to watch.

I added it to this post but I’ll repost here. Hopefully you don’t use your personal phone as a work phone because it’s not yours anymore. Once you give access to IT to add you to the exchange server, you waived your privacy. They have full access. If you quit they can wipe your entire device. They can read every text you send. I know somebody who runs HR at a very prominent Buffalo company. She says they get access to private social media posts all the time.
-
Fun fact, most good HR dept’s already scope out your social media without you knowing. Add on: If you use your personal phone for your employer be careful what you send and do on it. Once you set up the exchange server your phone is basically your companies, and you have basically agreed to give them access to it. Also, if you think your work phone is private, it might be. But it might not be. I’ve worked with people who have had their texts read by senior leadership.

Lamar gets a bad rap. It feels like it’s cool now to just say “oh Lamar can’t pass”. He’s a better passer than 2019 Josh Allen, and guys here were head over heels. Lamar is an elite runner. One of the most exciting players in the league and he touches the ball every snap. Lamar Jackson would be an upgrade for most teams in the league.

I mean, so we know that Goodell isn’t just a bundle of sticks? Have you ever seen Goodell and a bundle of sticks in the same place? Gruden doesn’t want a happy practice environment. He wasn’t a place where people come to work, where they are locked in. Don’t you show up all gay and merry to his facility. We know the above is true, because Gruden does not have rubbery lips. Jon “Not rubber lipped” Gruden. That’s what they called him growing up.
-
I had to turn the game off after the first. Seems like Lamar is plying well enough, just myself basically, and the defense can’t get off the field. Am I missing anything?
-
Right. I agree with this. Everybody should be much more open and not worried about being politically correct so that we know who to not engage with. But like, that also means if you run around calling people a f*gg*t, people might not want to engage with you. Kind of like what happened here. Had Gruden been more open about being a total shirt head, he might never have gotten back into the league. And that would have been much more preferable and deserving.
