10/18/21 Gameday Bills @ Titans Postgame thread

So I will agree Allen had some off throws. But also some dimes. I am generally one to be critical of Allen first, but this one is on the OL. He was regularly throwing off platform all day. Most certainly on a number of deep shots that caused him to under throw (which never happens). Tennessee got the better of our OL last night. Allen was our saving grace. -
I remember thinking that when we played KC when the uni was announced. For some reason I thought we were going all white, and was surprised when we came out with blue pants.

Defence was dominated and Frazier needs to be more aggressive

Milano got fooled a few times in misdirections and was sort of on an island at times with a ton of field to cover. He did not have a great game either. I noticed Edmunds not being able to disengage and/or OL sneezing and he was taken well out of the play. -

I liked the call but also don’t get it in hindsight. Like it was a turn over on downs and the clock stopped immediately. So Buffalo would not have gotten their TO in until what? 17 seconds? Then what with no time outs. A sack or a play short of the goal line runs the risk of ending the game? At the time I was hyped at the balls it took to march out there and snap the ball. Result aside. I just am not totally sure if the gain of converting there was worth the risk. -

Edmunds got worked tonight. He got picked on in the second half. Regularly lightly brushed out of plays. Edit: A lot of people kicking back on this. Maybe I should be more specific. Edmunds did not have 4 bad quarters, but he was picked on and pushed out of plays more frequently as the game went on. -

I once randomly met Trent Edwards parents at a Bills game. He was just drafted in the 3rd and was the back up. I was standing in line and I notice two middle aged people with Trent Edwards jerseys behind me. So I was like "Hey, you guys must be his parents, right? Who else has the rookie back up QB jersey on day one?". They were super nice and chatty. -
SNF: Seahawks at Steelers if anyone wants to talk about it

EJ actually retired. He was under contract in KC and rather than be a back up he went to the ACC Network. -

I don’t know how the Steeler punter hasn’t been a “bigger” story. -

The guy is 6 foot….265 lbs. Holy shirt balls…. -
Do you have cable? If so, just have her use your cable log in credentials on ESPN.com or the app on a tablet or phone.

This is probably not a stat you want to reference much. Might want to check where Josh normally falls in this stat. (Hint, he was third last year)

A whole lot of blowouts today.

I think Baltimore is the toughest match up. A lot depends on Edmunds making the right reads. Misdirection is the core of what Baltimore does and Lamar is a much improved passer. As we are seeing with this LAC game, MLB play can allow the game to get out of hand.

Im not necessarily questioning you, but do you have a link to the “subsequent research”

Didnt Tasker mention that he thought Haack was about 5 yards to shallow on the blocked punt?
-
I’m frustrated in a general sense that Bojo can’t figure out a way to hold kicks. That seems like that should be a very teachable skill among all NFL players. It’s also frustrating that even if Bojo struggles with it the Bills sacrificed their punter partially because of it. And the Packers are no sacrificing their kicking. It is odd. Whence the angst? There’s no angst but most wanted Bojo to stay. So it’s not a wild take. Although your “he didn’t want to be here” and “wanted to be out West” is the first I am hearing if either. He wanted more money than the Bills thought he was worth. As far as I know or have heard that is all that transpired. Its odd you would mention this years punt average and also mention Bojo lead the league last year. You also omitted the blocked punt Haack has this year. A lot of things cost us the Steelers game. But a blocked punt for 7 points in a 7 point game has to be among the top. Haack has been not good, Bills fans hold their collective breaths every time he kicks. He doesn’t have a great leg, takes too long to get the ball out, and is partially responsible for losing the Steelers game. So yes, I would rather have Bojo, and don’t understand why neither Love nor Trubisky can hold for FG.
-
I find this really frustrating for different reasons. Bojo>Haack and it doesn’t seem close. Why can’t Bojo figure this out…or anybody else? I hate that we have sign a lesser punter because of holding for the place holder. Makes me really angry at Bojo and the coaching staff. Like this had to be either teachable and/or replaceable with anybody else on the roster.

I just turned the game on so I don’t know how everything has looked. But it seems like the Eagles play waaay better in the hurry up/no huddle. I don’t know why they don’t just come out firing that way.

Edwards and Wannstandt were the ones who I thought really botched it. Pettine and Schwartz got a ton out of the group though. Remember when our defense stared Kyle Williams at nose tackle…. (I think Gailey and Cam would have broken the draught had he fallen to 3 or us having the first pick)

Cool, so not Beane. Huge credit to McD. Which was the entire point. McD is the secret sauce here.
-
People keep crediting Poyer-Hyde to McBeane. But that was a McWhaley signing. NOT hating on Beane, but in our hypotheticals in the offseason, the 2017 draft and FA class is my big reason for siding with McD going forward, gun to my head, have to pick one. Also McD picked Beane it seems. So there is that.

Football isn't hockey. Not a high rate of tooth loss when you add a steel facemask and then subtact the 3 foot long wood sticks and the hard piece of rubber traveling at 100mph.

I went with, "Lives in Lackawana". But yours works too.
