  1. Totaly get that. I’m saying you’d think a young QB who WAS an emergency QB, would understand how important availability is to the league and his employer/team in general.
  2. If so, consider Fromm no longer an employee of the Buffalo Bills come season end.
  3. Right. Get that. But I would think that a guy who was an emergency QB would place more importance on getting vaccinated and how important availability is to his employer.
  4. I am sorry? What did I get wrong? Josh is on IG in close contact with Tanner Gentry. If he doesn’t have the vaccine league rules may provide insight into JA’s vaccine status. Nothing in what was posted shared why Fromm is on the list. And if Fromm isn’t vaccinated, which is entirely possible, it’s wild to me that an emergency player wouldn’t be vaccinated.
  5. We are about to find out if Josh got the Fauci Ouchie real quick. Interesting that Fromm was the emergency QB all last year because of the pandemic and he still might not have gotten vaccinated.
  6. Did Jake Fromm getting covid/close contact cost the Bills a 2nd for Mitch?
  7. Can you imagine? One year, you’re starting for the the Chiefs and blocking for Mahomes. Then the next year you’re on the front lines fighting a pandemic. A year after that you’ve lost your starting job. And a few weeks later a pandemic still rages on but now you’re on the NYJ blocking for Mike White.
  8. I think he has like 3-4 years before he’s a UFA. His cap hit next year is $26M. I don’t know how much of that is tied up with Philly. But he is SUPER CHEAP after 2022. Converting his salary to a bonus alleviates a lot of the issues I believe. I don’t think he needs to take a pay cut at all.
  9. He has a $26.5M cap hit next year.... How about a 5th with a conditional 2nd if he restructures. Even that fees wonky.
  10. That is a MAJOR issue with talent ID if true... Beane has invested a ton of draft capital into the defense. OTC also has us with the 3rd most expensive LB corp. and Spotrac has us with the 2nd most expensive DL. (I used both because OTC separates Edge Rushers, and we run a 4-3). Oliver - 1st round Epenesa - 2nd round Groot - 1st round Basham - 2nd round Edmunds - 1st round Philips -3rd round
  11. I would much rather have Fitz than Cam as a backup, Fitz cycle aside. Cam is toast. RFP would be fine in the locker room.
  12. In college I believe the play gets blown dead immediately if somebody loses their helmet.
  13. Right, I agree. I was just adding on to the poster I was quoted. I don't think he really goes anywhere, but it is an interesting trade piece to ponder because I think we could fill in the gaps if we HAD to and it meant upgrading the OL.
  14. This is why I dislike the Miller rumor. Those draft picks are upgrades to the interior line.
  15. That could happen but only because I think the rest of the WR stable is capable. You can move Davis outside and Sanders to the slot, and get the same production out of the group. Or you can keep Sanders on the outside and have McKenzie, Davis, Stevenson in the slot. I doubt Sweeney plays a role in this. He caught some passes, but he was not nearly as athletic as Knox. He was "capable" but a significant downgrade.
  16. In the last 3 drafts we have dedicated our top pick in each to DL/DE. Plus Basham in the 2nd and Philips in the 3rd. Throwing a 2nd and a 3rd at a one year rental for Miller seems like an over allocation or resources for the production we are getting. (although improved this year) I am glad this didn't work. A second and a third would cost us upgrades at OL and or CB.
  17. I like Beane, but he has us overcommitted at a few position groups with less than top end performance which has me concerned going forward. I am mildly concerned at going after Von Miller. We are crazy invested into the DL already. We can't be crazy invested into DL for the past few seasons, AND go give up a 2nd and a 3rd for a one year rental. The investment into another DE/DL would basically cost us a possible starting CB and OL next year or two OL. I wouldn't mind asking about Miller if we didn't invest a 2nd in AJE, 1st in Groot, 2nd in Basham, 1st in Oliver, and $8M in Addison. A second and third for Miller would be basically admitting you hate your previous 2-3 years of major investment in your DL.
  18. Wasn’t a huge fan of the taunting. Could have been a flag. I heard the Dolphins did that to the Bills after the first three and out of the game. EDIT: That makes the whole thing make a bit more sense. I would not be shocked if Josh gets a flag in the next few weeks as an “all right settle down” moment from the refs.
  19. Congrats to the dude winning 125k tonight
  20. That is a funny story from Manning. Hoping Josh is more entertaining in the next segment.
  21. Fixed that for you.
  22. This is true of a couple position groups. The Bills push the top of the list on OL and LB spending as well, and we don’t get elite production out of either.
  23. I think he will regress. But he is in a cool spot since his contract is up this year. The next few weeks could set him up for the rest of his life. Even if he signs a one year $5M contract for 2022 and never plays football again. He can invest it, never touch it, and retire by 45 comfortably living off the interest for the rest of his life.
