The Pats proved they don't actually need to throw the ball to beat us....as long as we don't score any points. The Bills couldn't stop the run knowing full well the pass was not an option. I have a good amount of worry that that issue becomes worse when passing is allowed. That said, it only takes a couple of stops. The Bills need to take points wherever they can, and force NE to drop back more often than they would like.

I was helping with some holiday stuff at halftime. But I did have it on. I thought the halftime crew was critical of the entire team, and largely crediting Joshing for constantly putting the Bills on his back. They seemed to hate that the OL and lack of running game were making it really difficult on the QB.

The simplest answer is just respect and end goal. There’s a lot of HS has-beens on the interwebs that think disrespect is the proper answer to any issues. At the end of the day, these guys are ago work. This isn’t how you treat coworkers or employees. It shouldn’t be the expected response to somebody you respect. Dawkins gives us the flexibility to take the best OL available with our pick.

I forget how, but I believe there is a world where the Broncos are involved if they win out. Again, only if the Bills lose to the Pats. The Pats game is basically the Bills SB unfortunately. Things are REALLY difficult if they drop that game. EDIT: Also, if the Bills win out, and the Pats lose to Indy, Buffalo wins the division. Weird year.

This is probably the best arguement for Allen for MVP. I also thought Manning should have won MVP the year he missed before the drafted Luck.

I feel better about this team after that loss than I have in a few weeks. Anything can happen.

I would like to know the responsibility there from people smarter than me. Was Edmunds actually supposed to be responsible for Permian 1v1?

Right, it could. The Bills are 5-5 in conference play which is meh. 7-5 basically clinches them at 7-5 I think.

With $9M in space, I’m not sure what the fix is this off-season.

I think the Bills going 3-2 with wins against NE and NYJ seals a playoff spot. But this team looks checked out.

Meh. I think the Bills still have a good chance going 3-2. Dropping both Pats games makes it tough because of the conference/division record. 3-2 with a win vs. the Pats and Jets all but clinches I think. The rest of the wild cards all play each other so I don’t think that anybody misses at 10-7. But if they all do we are in rough shape thanks losing to TN, Indy, and Pitt. 5-5 in the conference hurts us.

You mentioned that Beane dug us out of cap hell, or something similar. Our two weakest links on the roster are also our two highest paid units in both cash and draft capital. White washing the lack of production of the OL and/or DL with "we have a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense" is relatively useless. The defense is good. But our production from our DL given our investment is bad. Josh Allen is good, our OL is not top 5, but we pay them like they are. All teams have issues, that is fair. But we have invested heavily in our issues and they are still not up to par.

What if I told you that the Bills OL and DE were among the highest paid in the entire NFL despite the fact that the DL has gotten 5 top 100 picks since Beanes arrival? Then on top of all of that, the Bills are projected to only have $9 in cap space in 2022 (per spotrac). Our cap situation and production on money spent is really bad at the moment and should be a major worry for every fan.

I think Beane is the bigger culprit here. We have spent 3 first and/or second round draft picks in two drafts on DE and they got worked around the edges today. OL leaves a lot to be desired at a high price tag.

I thought Edmunds had a good first quarter but has been declining as the game goes on. The DE’s are getting abused.

I think broadcasting is a huge reason the league is pushing for new stadiums. Older stadiums aren’t always set up with the infrastructure

You are good. It drives me nuts when I mess it up. More often than not it’s when I am posting on my mobile not on my computer.

What if you’re a guy who thinks that this team is incredibly inconsistent who can beat or lose to anybody on any given Sunday. Their a talented finesse team that struggles with teams who have punch you in the mouth style. What if you think the Pats are good and have benefited from luck and their rookie QB has been good enough but not great, and the pats are one of the most complete teams in the league, with a stout defense and largely wins the field position battle. The Pats are a very good team who is capable of being embarrassed by the right Bills team if they show up.

Looks like NO will not be taking that QB option in the Hill extension.

All I can think watching this game is “I hate the cowboys”. They’re never that good even when they arenas they’re always way over hyped. Aso, I don’t get the hype around Hill yet.

Right, OK. You’re being unnecessarily pedantic. I didn’t say he wouldn’t put it on a T-Shirt. He doesn’t even have to. He can just license it out and have somebody do it for him and he’s fulfilled the need. Start the Mac Jones foundation, put it on a quarter zip, and he’s fine. Just like half of the QB’s in the league. Why chase down a resolution later on for a problem that doesn’t need to exist?

People keep conflating comparing Jones to Brady and the 2001 Pats to 2021. Jones is no Brady in a bunch of ways. But the low hanging fruit is Brady is the GOAT and MJ10 just showed up. This team reminds me a bit of that one though. Offense that won’t get off the field and a top 5 defense in just about every category who turns the ball over a lot. MJ10 is fine. He does enough. That’s about it. But that team very good in a very familiar way.
