I wasn't talking about total W-L. I was talking winning season v. losing season. I was also lazy and just reciting info from the last time I had this discussion which was probably around 2018 when Payton/Brees had something like 7 winning seasons 5 losing and a .500 year. They are 9-5-1, which is honestly not hugely impressive for a HC/QB Combo. Having a quality defense is part of being a HC. I understand that Bounty gate and said punishments were a thing. Participating in and/or getting busted for Bountygate is also part of being a HC.

I have a spicy take on this. Since Brees/Payton only reached one SB, and the Saints were garbage during the Payton suspension, both cannot be HOF. I will concede either one, doesn't matter to me. Brees has prolific numbers, but also, the team was trash with Brees and without Payton. But you absolutely cannot be a HOF QB/HC pairing and reach one Super Bowl AND have a .500 or worse record together. If one gets in, the other absolutely cannot.

Wait? You thought Tom Brady and Eric Wood look similar enough to be confused for each other in a photograph? I think we have sprinted past "bad with faces" and are firmly in the "have serious issues with my eye sight" territory. Also, I would have zero issues with Jim Kelly taking pictures with Tom Brady. I was in Cleveland a few weeks ago and had a similar conversation about Baker with some locals. I was wearing a Bills hat grabbing a sandwich and a beer, and a couple of guys started chatting about how they are jumping ship to Buffalo after the Watson debacle. They also said they hadn't worn any Browns gear since the trade.

On one hand I get this. But on the other hand I don’t. So the NFL handled Snyder poorly, so therefore they are legally required to handle Watson and everybody else poorly for eternity as well?

Wait what, no. The Browns were willing to gamble his first year with the team and that is about it. After this season, his contract is miserable unless he plays lights out. Full stop. There is no moving on. He cannot be cut. Unsure of how a trade effects the Browns because so much of his contract is fully guaranteed. But if the Browns are in a position to move on from Watson, somebody will have to spend $46M per year in his reclamation, and a possible $55M cap hit year over year.

I know everybody is pining for the red helmets for the alternate this year. But! What if both teams alternate jerseys were versions of each other. Bills in Blue and Gold with the charging Buffalo/crossed swords. Sabres Red, white, and blue?

He’s an absolute trash human. I didn’t like that a retired Eric Wood was on the show either. The guy threatened to rape a girl who his friend/roommate raped if she continued to press charges. The reason his threats came out were because two of his teammates reported the threats to the police. I don’t want anybody on the roster associating with Lewan. Let alone voluntarily giving him more clicks and spotlight.

I believe it is player fit. Players are super particular so I don’t think the league wants to deviate and risk a new, ill fitting helmet. Kind of like breaking in sneakers before a race so you done get blisters.

Right, I get that they can't because of the rules. And I understand that the decals are vinyl. I can get a white Honda Civic wrapped in red. Why can't I get a white Riddell helmet wrapped the same? It is certainly possible to do so.

I totally get the NFL not wanting players to have multiple helmets. And I totally get players liking to wear the same single helmet. What I don't get is why the rule has been in place for so long and why they added a second helmet. We have been wrapping cars now for a while, can they not wrap a a helmet?

Not hugely surprising these guys don't dive into craft beer at all. If you love Miller Light, Coors Light, etc. this list is right on point for how extensive your pallet is. But lets be real here. Doritos are clearly the premium chip and the only Doritos flavor on the list is cool Ranch? One, two, and three should be Spicy Sweet Chili, Spicy Nacho, and classic Nacho Cheese. I can no longer trust anything these guys have to say about anything not related to football. Also Lewan is a trash human.

Ben only getting 6 games and not being booted from the league entirely still makes me feel dirty. What a terrible human.

While I hope that is true, she pulled out of Rothesay without any statement. She is on the entry but the draw isn't out for Wimbledon so we don't really know. Since she didn't play this last tournament without notice or statement I wouldn't be shocked if she did the same for Wimbledon; especially given the messaging from the family a week or so ago. The statement from the Pegula's came pretty close to Serena's last minute WC bid. I speculated that that was because Jessica probably gave notice that she may not be playing in Wimbledon and that Serena was possibly taking her spot. The family was getting ahead of any news that might have made. She is the 8th ranked player in the world now so there is a chance it may have drawn attention, otherwise we may never have heard a word from the Pegula's until they came out the other end. That said there hasn't been anything indicating one way or the other. If the shoe was on the other foot and I were in a hospital bed, I would want my daughter at Wembley this week. But that is me, and I certainly don't think every family should prescribe to that line of thinking. Just pointing out that Jessica's attendance or lack there of probably isn't a great indicator. Luckily it is not a decision I have ever had to deal with. Continued good vibes to the Pegula's through all of this.
