  1. I like the idea of Gesicki, but I think bringing him in means we do not re-sign Knox next year. I am seeing reports of $10-$13M per year for MG. I wouldn't hate it, but Knox is an important part of this team and locker room. I don't think the FO is willing to move from him just to have both TE's for 2022.
  2. I saw this yesterday. If you go through all his tweets on this. He is saying Dorsey is Dabolls first choice. But he also says the Bills love Dorsey and he expects him to be in Buffalo. Retweeted by Marino: Dorsey stays in Buffalo. Shocked if Dorsey makes it to BUF
  3. I agree with all the above. But to the bolded about getting home. We do seem to consistently fall short. Sunday's game however felt like a containment issue rather than Mahomes being squirmy. We would get guys up the middle, but then there is no DE to keep him in side. Or the left side would win their battle and the right side would be nothing but green grass. Really frustrating.
  4. Like the third topic on their subreddit is about giving props to JA17. So different than their forum.
  5. No mention of Dorsey, which I like. Shoen scheduled a presser for Wednesday late morning. I assumed this would be getting done shortly. Hoping we keep some continuity with Dorsey staying in house.
  6. His answers feel weird by McD standards to me. Feels like something was not quite right. At first I thought maybe he gave Farwell enough rope to hang himself with. But I also maybe thought when he kept mentioning execution, that a lot went wrong in those 13 seconds, focusing on the kick is meh. But maybe it was on Bass. We will never know. Unless of course Farwell gets fired. Then we will know.
  7. I know I keep pounding this drum, but people are wild to ask for the Pegula’s to fire either part of McBean for any reason other than a million bad seasons in a row. That’s without even talking about the fact that in back to back years the Bills were in the AFCCG then played what a lot of people are calling the greatest football game of all time against the very best team in the league. We just witnessed Ali v. Frazier. The Pegula’s are working their way into the Mount Rushmore of worst owners in NHL history. The Sabres are historically bad under Terry and Kim. And people want to can the HC and let them start over? I would rather sign a 10 year deal with Jeff Fisher than let the Pegula’s try to rebuild the Bills. That’s not hyperbole.
  8. Sorry, my bad. Just one guy, Cam Marino from rotoworld. He doubles back and says Dorsey his Dabolls first choice, but the Bills love Dorsey too. Expectation is Dorsey is calling plays for Allen and Co.
  9. I would hope the franchise has an internal contingency plan. If Allen is preferring Dorsey, I would hope they have had the conversation with him already and they do t over think it.
  10. I don’t know if anybody made anybody. But they did at least grow together. For every 1% that Allen is good, it doesn’t make Daboll 1% bad. It’s not a pie.
  11. Question. I am still reading that Daboll is bringing Dorsey. I know the Bills can’t block it. But if Dorsey were to leave, it would be his own decision, correct? He would effectively be turning down the Bills OC job then, right?
  12. I have been frustrated with Daboll. But this offense has also been very good under him. The team was in purgatory for so long that I have a bit of anxiety about moving major pieces out.
  13. I have been hard on Beane. I will probably continue to do so. Philips is starting to become a player that I am happy is on this team and Oliver is becoming pretty disruptive on a regular basis. The OL seemed to also find some form with Brown looking like a mauler. I think Beane is a B to a B+ in a league with a bell curve, where being a standard deviation better than your peers is difficult. I think we wasted resources on Singletary AND Moss being picked back to back. AJE continues to bother me. Ford sucks. Some picks have panned out better than I thought they would. But the double dip at RB, Ford, and AJE are too many wasted top 100 picks when we keep taking guys in the top 100 who have taken years to develop. The next few off seasons are where GM's make their money. Keeping the team in contention while you rotate through the roster. He will have to find more immediate impact. He hit on Allen and he is a stud. So that is really the most that matters.
  14. This year is tough without restructuring a ton to take away from next years cap space where we have a ton of work to do with re-signing or replacements. As much as i dislike some of those guys, we still need to upgrade or replace the below. Plus a ton more. But below are the notables. In terms of offense, I am curious if Stevenson can flash next year at WR. I would like to get Hogins healthy, then add a day 2 or early 3 depth piece. I want to upgrade the OL just like everybody else. But ours really jelled at the end of the season. Preferably the current group rides it out, and we grab 2 guys in the mid-rounds who don't have to start right away, but can possibly be an upgrade after a full season in the NFL. We need a thumper in the front 7, that is for sure. I have been thinking today, as critical as I have been of Edmunds, how he would do if we had grabbed JOK and Edmunds could play downhill a bit more, taking away some of his variables. Oliver is looking very good. Philips has come to play a bit. AJE leaves a ton to be desired. Groot will have to carry the DE group with who we have at the moment. 2023 brings up: Poyer Edmunds Oliver Morse Singletary Knox
  15. Right now, and it is still early in both their careers, the match up is closer to Brady v. Manning. But Allen is technically still technically on his rookie deal....seriously. His cap hit was $10M and next year is $16M. Too early to close the book on how this plays out between the two of them.
  16. It was clear those are the two best QB's in the league by a huge margin. It is wild to me that anybody can watch last nights game and think today, "Oh no, Justin Herbert". There was literally one person in the entire world, not hyperbole, who could have beaten Josh Allen last night, and even he had to be absolutely lights out by Mahomes standards. Last nights Buffalo team plays any other team in the league and it is Buffalo by 17+ points and we are booking our AFCCCG tickets today.... No, we are booking our AFCCG tickets with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
  17. No it won't. Allen and Mahomes are going to go down as the two best QB's in either teams history. Herbert, Burrow, etc. will always be trailing. Mahomes and Allen will keep going at it like Brady and Manning. They'll be some noise from outside orgs, but they are the alpha's in the conference and it isn't close right now. Honestly I am not sure how anybody could watch those two guys play QB last night and think that there is another player in the league, let alone conference that can hang with those guys going forward.
  18. I think that is chicken and egg. I think JOK changes our base defense vs. KC much more than Siran Neal.
  19. I didn't want to say the quiet part out loud coming into this week. With Tre out, I was thinking that for this game having JOK over Groot would have been nice. Really hoping Groot pans out. Basham has had some good moments. Oliver is becoming a real player teams need to account for. Philips is becoming a good piece. Having JOK out there would have been nice with Kelce...
  20. I am not sure we even needed to rush 3. We could have gone out there with Klein, Milano, Edmunds, and 8 DB's. It is a passing play anyways, would that not be ineligible man down field anyways?
  21. I was worried he would want to leave after this year based on how he was managed. He proved himself a useful tool this year, and last year when Beasley went down. His arrow was pointing up and Beasley's is pointing down. This isn't Madden, you can't just have a quality player ride the bench in a contract year just to keep his cost to re-sign down.
  22. I get the cap is highly maneuverable. But we also only have $10M at the moment with a few new contracts we would like to keep around. I think the best we can do is nail the draft and keep around a few key contributors on day 1. With the amount of cap space next season, and major contracts that are up, we want to make sure we aren't taking any steps back.
  23. Given the cap space, who we lose, and how close this team is, this is probably his most important offseason to keep this team humming. We have space next year, which gives us more room to make some moves. I think we need to find a way to keep Philips and McKenzie. I would like to keep Wallace, but if that might be money we want to toss at upgrades to the OL or front 7 and address CB2 in the draft.
  24. I don’t know how you watch that game last night and not have Allen as your favorite player in the NFL.
