  1. Jack Eichel has a very good shot at finishing his 7th season with his 7th consecutive losing record. Vegas is 12-13 since he started playing and only collected 1 point in their 13 losses. They were 3rd in the West the day he started his first game and now might miss the playoffs all together. Kevin Durant is a sure fire first ballot hall of famer and is amongst one of the best scorers in the history of the NBA. KD is the Nets right now. I know people hear Kyrie, but that team is a mess at the moment and Durant is the glue. But yeah, totally the same guy....
  2. Spotrac is estimating $218M. Which might be a bit conservative. The highest estimates I’ve seen for 2023 are $225M. Could maybe be more but $9M isn’t huge either with Singletary, Knox, and Poyer needing new contracts. I am happy to have Miller and Stef but it will certainly come at a cost the next few years. We will have to get more immediate production from our top 100 picks moving forward if we want the window to stay open.
  3. Buffalo is estimated to have $2M free next year. The chips are in the center of the table. 2022 is the giddy up year.
  4. This. I don’t see him signing anything less than $10M per. Poyer was the best player on this defense last year. He isn’t taking $8-9M
  5. First of all, I would like to apologize to everybody here. I bought a Poyer jersey last year. These things tend to happen when I buy a jersey. To the bolded. I think Poyer and Hyde cover a lot of deficiencies for in our front 7. I get they are getting old, but I thought they both had another contract in them for sure. The Bills have not hit their front 7 picks out of the park by any means. Moving on from Poyer and Hyde could cause some issues. Unpopular opinion, but the Diggs contract gets me worried about this stuff. Josh Allen's feelings aside, I am not sure having the highest paid WR/QB tandem in the NFL is a long term recipe for success.
  6. The Bills should design their own Henley Blazer. It is tradition when racing at Henley, all spectators and participants wear a blazer when on land. Teams, colleges, etc. take it pretty seriously. A lot of the designs are 100+ years old and specific to each team. Some are modest some are super wild. https://www.instagram.com/collierrobinson/
  7. I think this might be the highest paid QB/WR combo in league history. At least in terms of total value. EDIT: In terms of AAV % of cap Josh and Stef combine for ~35% of the teams salary cap. They are the only QB/WR combo both in the top 5 in the league for their positions.
  8. What, you forgetting about Ko Simpson?
  9. Looking at that I think WR depth is a serious concern. Probably more pressing than almost anywhere. Followed closely by DB. Those are 1a and 1b. Followed by LB and OL depth/future.
  10. Great question. Forget plays, I would love to have him call the KC playoff game this year. (ending aside)
  11. I'll give your mom's tight end an 8.
  12. A perpetual Josh Allen trade is in the works! Every year Josh Allen goes to the worst team in the NFL, and in return the Buffalo Bills get the first pick in the NFL draft. This year we get the 1st overall pick and the Jags get Allen. Next year maybe the Falcons get Josh Allen, and we get the first pick in the draft. Maybe Indy starts tanking just to get Josh Allen for 1 year. Suddenly really good players are taking pay cuts to go to terrible organizations so they can be around Josh Allen (in shorts!). 6 years later the Bills have 4 firsts and 6 seconds just by trading out of the pick and/or perpetually trading QB's. This happens for eternity/until Josh Allen dies.
  13. Ummm. Best case scenario is Tre starts week one, but takes a few weeks to ramp back up. Worst case scenario, Tre misses a few weeks then takes time to get back to form. Either way, Dane Jackson is not ready to start in that scenario. Is that even being debated at this point?
  14. Good for Byron Leftwich.
  15. I actually really dislike this. A few years ago I would have had a different opinion. But the cost of participation in media is just way too high and way too fragmented I am paying way more for subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, etc. Than I ever did for cable and internet combined. This just feels like the first step into the NFL controlling 100% of its games. I think we may be pushing towards a breaking point where it starts to come back to a cable like feature where Sling or Fubo start to package Netflix, Hulu, Paramount in their TV packages. Financially, the average American isn't doing great despite what the stock market says. Inflation is way up, wages are not keeping up The average person has $275 in subscriptions (including internet and phone) and $400 in student loans. Even if you remove all your apps (netflix etc) just to participate in the economy the average person is $530 in the hole when they wake up the first of every month. But hey, in a couple of years the NFL will charge me $40 per month just to watch the Bills play, so that is cool.....
  16. This is my thought as well. Especially on our roster where we pay guys like Taiwan Jones over $1M per year to play special teams only. The argument is that it costs him reps/time in the RB room. The dude is RB4. He might take 8 offensive snaps per week. If we are going to keep a spot purely for a ST guy with literally no other value on the team, I would much rather keep the better punter and make Jones practice holding rather than compromise the punter. In a perfect world, we stop signing Taiwan Jones every year and start filling that role with younger guys who actually have a chance of cracking the roster at other positions. And in that case sure, sign Haack instead of Bojo.
  17. I think we need to get a guard and center in house this year. I am not sure Morse plays 2024. $11.5M cap and $2.5M dead dead money. Not that I don't think he is great, and he certainly isn't old. But his eggs are pretty scrambled with 5 concussions. He could (rightfully) decide to bow out at any time or the decision may be taken out of his hands completely.
  18. It is his 5th year option that is fully guaranteed so referencing other veterans doesn't corelate. There is no bonus money or anything to create any savings in a trade like the other 4 years of his contract. AFAIK that means the entirety of the contract follows him. We have talked about this same situation re: Edmunds. We can wipe him off the books entirely with a trade and use his $12M elsewhere. I accept the exception.
  19. What also seems Beane like is to save have a reasonable solution plugged in before the draft. Would not be shocked if we clear some more cap for a 1-2 year deal for Peterson/Gilmore or Bradberry release in order to give them more flexibility on draft day.
  20. Diggs tweeted “it’s always business…never personal” Curious if there’s any trade talks? Found two totally unfounded posts via google about the Panthers making an offer. Diggs for a 1st and 3rd. Not enough return for me. But the cost of receiver is so high and we just signed Miller. Something will have to give next year.
  21. This is what sort of concerns me. It has taken quite a bit of runway for our top 100 picks to get up to speed. It is wild to me that we can spend 5 top 100 picks on DL and still need to make a splash signing. Like, wouldn’t it be cool if we signed Von Miller because we had spent those 5 picks on OL, DB, WR? But we didnt. We’re quadruple dipping over and over and still have question marks woth other positional groups. Rectifying this issue in short order is probably the most important issue at OBD in terms of lengthening Buffalo’s SB window.
  22. Congrats to Tyrod Taylor. Finally lands with a franchise willing to build around him.
  23. The guy punched his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and strangled her. Jesus dude.
  24. Part of the secret sauce in KC wasn’t just Hill. It was accounting for Hill and Kelce, plus the risk and skill Mahomes possesses when he does go off script.
  25. I think Tyreek has a short memory, and will probably forget what his life could be like when not catching passes from Mahomes. My guess is by mid to ate 2023 he is pretty vocal about hating Miami.
