  1. I actually really dislike this. A few years ago I would have had a different opinion. But the cost of participation in media is just way too high and way too fragmented I am paying way more for subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, etc. Than I ever did for cable and internet combined. This just feels like the first step into the NFL controlling 100% of its games. I think we may be pushing towards a breaking point where it starts to come back to a cable like feature where Sling or Fubo start to package Netflix, Hulu, Paramount in their TV packages. Financially, the average American isn't doing great despite what the stock market says. Inflation is way up, wages are not keeping up The average person has $275 in subscriptions (including internet and phone) and $400 in student loans. Even if you remove all your apps (netflix etc) just to participate in the economy the average person is $530 in the hole when they wake up the first of every month. But hey, in a couple of years the NFL will charge me $40 per month just to watch the Bills play, so that is cool.....
  2. This is my thought as well. Especially on our roster where we pay guys like Taiwan Jones over $1M per year to play special teams only. The argument is that it costs him reps/time in the RB room. The dude is RB4. He might take 8 offensive snaps per week. If we are going to keep a spot purely for a ST guy with literally no other value on the team, I would much rather keep the better punter and make Jones practice holding rather than compromise the punter. In a perfect world, we stop signing Taiwan Jones every year and start filling that role with younger guys who actually have a chance of cracking the roster at other positions. And in that case sure, sign Haack instead of Bojo.
  3. I think we need to get a guard and center in house this year. I am not sure Morse plays 2024. $11.5M cap and $2.5M dead dead money. Not that I don't think he is great, and he certainly isn't old. But his eggs are pretty scrambled with 5 concussions. He could (rightfully) decide to bow out at any time or the decision may be taken out of his hands completely.
  4. It is his 5th year option that is fully guaranteed so referencing other veterans doesn't corelate. There is no bonus money or anything to create any savings in a trade like the other 4 years of his contract. AFAIK that means the entirety of the contract follows him. We have talked about this same situation re: Edmunds. We can wipe him off the books entirely with a trade and use his $12M elsewhere. I accept the exception.
  5. What also seems Beane like is to save have a reasonable solution plugged in before the draft. Would not be shocked if we clear some more cap for a 1-2 year deal for Peterson/Gilmore or Bradberry release in order to give them more flexibility on draft day.
  6. Diggs tweeted “it’s always business…never personal” Curious if there’s any trade talks? Found two totally unfounded posts via google about the Panthers making an offer. Diggs for a 1st and 3rd. Not enough return for me. But the cost of receiver is so high and we just signed Miller. Something will have to give next year.
  7. This is what sort of concerns me. It has taken quite a bit of runway for our top 100 picks to get up to speed. It is wild to me that we can spend 5 top 100 picks on DL and still need to make a splash signing. Like, wouldn’t it be cool if we signed Von Miller because we had spent those 5 picks on OL, DB, WR? But we didnt. We’re quadruple dipping over and over and still have question marks woth other positional groups. Rectifying this issue in short order is probably the most important issue at OBD in terms of lengthening Buffalo’s SB window.
  8. Congrats to Tyrod Taylor. Finally lands with a franchise willing to build around him.
  9. The guy punched his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and strangled her. Jesus dude.
  10. Part of the secret sauce in KC wasn’t just Hill. It was accounting for Hill and Kelce, plus the risk and skill Mahomes possesses when he does go off script.
  11. I think Tyreek has a short memory, and will probably forget what his life could be like when not catching passes from Mahomes. My guess is by mid to ate 2023 he is pretty vocal about hating Miami.
  12. Tyreek is a trash human. Von Miller and it isn't close. I would rather have a 52 man roster than give Tyreek Hill a roster spot.
  13. The Dolphins are really committed to surrounding Tyrod with talent.
  14. That is a nice weapon for Tyrod. He is probably pumped.
  15. As much as I want to watch Tyreek rot on an imploding AFCE team. I think if this happens, the Bills most certainly either take a CB in the first or restructure some contracts to make room for Gilmore, Peterson, or Bradberry if he is a cap casualty. Or maybe a world where they make room for Wagner and draft a CB in the first. The Bills will want to rely on not losing divisional games in a much bolstered AFC.
  16. This is my thought. It may cost us here and there. But honestly Tyreek on either NYJ or MIA seems to scream future implosion. 2 x first and $22M AAV? Without good QB play and a malcontent Tyreek Hill. Bring it on.
  17. Buffalo should sign some guy off the street also named Josh Allen. The Ol’ Switcharoo! This team could use 2 firsts and 2 seconds the next two years. This could be our Hershel Walker. But instead of an NFL quality RB the Falcons get some guy named Josh Allen who used to work in prepared foods at Wegmans.
  18. Being a college coach and not knowing who 99 on the Rams is is embarrassing. Hell, my old man neighbor stopped watching the NFL nearly a decade ago knows who Aaron Donald is.
  19. It would be an improvement for my girlfriend that’s for sure.
  20. It was just a video they didn't need to do. I think they (we?) were expecting more excitement like when they do the draft picks or when Mario signed. No McD. No Frazier. No Washington.
  21. This is a really good example of why that isn't the case. Whaley was mediocre. He go fired. OK. But guys like Kirby with a reasonable and measured response get called out of hibernation for no real reason other than for you to rag on them for a pretty measured and knowledgeable opinion. But sure, flame away that your criticisms are the fault of everybody else. Whaley was mediocre. There were some organizational issues that made him as a GM worse than maybe he deserved to be He made some good moves while he was here. But not enough. It is what it is. I don't think anybody is arguing that Whaley is some super special commodity. You seem to be the only one out here trying to prove what a POS he was.
  22. I hate to break it to ya, but like...Brown started 10 games last year. We cut Williams. Unless Tommy Doyle starts eating raw liver shooting trenbolone with Liver King, Spencer Brown is our starting RT.
  23. Unpopular opinion alert. As good as our media dept has been the last year or so, that was one of, if not the most anticlimactic videos they have ever put out. Dude looked like he was just showing up to sign the contract then GTFO of there. Not a criticism, just an observation.
  24. Based on the contracts this offseason, $18M per will be a discount. Not to mention, he has probably been a bit underpaid the last few years.
