  1. It’s been like 36 hours and this is page 241 of this thread. Likely the longest thread in the history of this site. The Bills are the lead story on nearly every (sports) news org in the country. They are either thoroughly unprepared. Or they’ve botched the entire thing. Probably a little bit of both.
  2. I think you’re over complicating it. The Bills gave them approval to report that he isn't practicing. Him being on the roster was already reported. Sal is just piecing the two bits together. He doesn’t say “they told us to report he is on the roster but isn’t practicing”. I understand the confusion. But I really don’t think that’s the intent.
  3. We had a similar (but different) situation at our UK office a year or two ago. It was just a single sales rep with a law suit and made national new in the UK. Our COO quickly got in front of the public with statements and articles. And we are a company with much more revenue/value than the Bills and have much less notoriety and smaller headlines. Not a great look from Terry. Tangentially. Is Kim OK?
  4. The roster gets released daily before practice. Part of submitting an injury report. The Bills already released the roster for today about an hour before practice. They proactively let reporters know Araiza wouldn’t be at practice today.
  5. They do have more access. The NFL and teams hire LEO professionals to vet all their players pre draft. Pat MacAfee said as much the other day and flat out said “they knew”. Rob Maadi asked 5 FO’s. 3 said they didn’t know. 2 said they did. The two that didn’t said it didn’t effect their draft status because they weren’t going to draft a punter anyways. Are we supposed to believe that the people who weren’t drafting a punter had access. But the team that drafted him didn’t? I don’t buy it. For years we’ve heard stories of prospects talk about how surprised they were at what teams knew about them in their pre draft interviews. The Bills knew. If they didn’t know, they didn’t do their due diligence.
  6. Her intentions are irrelevant. She can intend to go out and get laid without getting raped. I was a huge slut until I was about 30. I guess I reap what I sow if I got raped. The problem is not the girl. It is the rapists. Full stop.
  7. I have been saying the same thing. That NFL teams hire high end LEO as well as the league. There is no way they didn’t know.
  8. Its a football internet message board, we are all making assumptions. The entire premise is assumption. haha. None of us actually know Edmunds responsibility on a play, coverage assignments for a DB, or what a WR should have seen and what their reaction should be. But we still get 35 post game threads and hundreds of responses.
  9. @Kirby Jackson makes some great points I generally agree with. Also, really glad you’ve been back lately Kirby! But I understand that becomes a nightmare for you and @Simon who seems to be working overtime on this thread specifically. It’s certainly nuanced. I appreciate your efforts. Most important player on the field. 😂
  10. Look at this guy, trading JA17 for prime Ray Guy.
  11. Likely took Araiza at his word and figured this was some he said she said. Or a small age dispute. HS girl shows up to a college party kind of thing. Then he saw brutal photos of a 17 year old who was gang raped…. I got the sense last night that McD was very emotional. And likely would have torn apart Araiza if left alone in the same rooms
  12. There was a tweet that the locker between Ferg and Bass was empty with no name plate after the game. It’s possible they just got him out of there before the reporters came in. It’s also possible he’s but. Already angry McD seemed extra angry about the mid game statement.
  13. I have been on the “there’s no way the Bills didn’t know train”. There are teams that employ former LEO to help vet our prospects. But maybe after hearing McD? If I recall there were mock drafts with Araiza in the 2nd or 3rd. If other teams had him that high, they certainly would have been that thorough. But the Bills could have just been not super interested but was then available in the 6th. Thats probably not the case, and more me limbering up for mental gymnastics for my favorite sports team. I think the Bills were tied to Araiza pretty early on by reports. This one is on them.
  14. Beane and Terry need to be in front of a mic ASAP. From a human perspective, I want Araiza gone. From a football perspective, let McD get back to work, and refocus the team on football. Let the front of house people manage the front of house.
  15. I really want them to throw out of the punt formation. Or kick of of shotgun.
  16. This was one of my hot takes for the pre season. Howard has looked like a dud. Might as well bring along Morris since Howard won’t be around forever. What I’m likely wrong about at this point is Crowder. I thought he’d be gone. But I don’t think he’s taken a snap tonight. But we don’t need to talk about that….
  17. That was my dream. So much opportunity there. Your QB is your punter and it’s 4th and 5. At least make it interesting guys.
  18. It’s less about his yards and more about the types of balls he’s catching. He’s wrapping up everything. Regardless if coverage.
  19. I think you have to keep Hodgins.
  20. Just sort of thinking. Imagine if Josh learned to punt at a high level. The chaos of 4th and 1 would be incredible.
  21. Somebody posted an article in the thread. The US is notorious for under investigating rapes. There’s an estimated 200,000 unprocessed rape kits. https://www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/archive/2019/07/nationwide-epidemic-of-untested-rape-kits-atlantic-daily/594046/
  22. I generally agree here. The league and NFL teams employ all sorts former LEO, private investigators, federal agents, etc to scrub their player profiles. For 20 years players have been talking about how they have been caught off guard in pre draft interviews about how much personal information teams had. Stuff almost nobody knew. I don’t buy that the Bills just heard about this whole thing 6 weeks ago. Not even a little. They took a calculated risk. They spoke to the attorney and assumed Araiza would settle to keep his name out of it. SDSU has done their part to keep this quiet. But it’s all blown up in their face. The team is just putting on their best shocked face.
  23. If the ST’s are warming up, important to ay attention to who is holding.
  24. Judging by where the mods/creators at the tippy top of the totem pole seem to jump in and give their opinions, you wouldn’t like who is and isn’t shown the door.
  25. Interesting thought. Medical records of the accused will probably put some of this together as well. If all these people have chlamydia….
