  1. For 792 yards and no touchdowns.
  2. That was my thought. I was surprised they didn’t include Tre. Not reading a ton into that. They probably want somebody that is scheduled to play all 17 games. I do think that teams do try and be planned though and try to avoid putting guys on any new gear/marketing campaigns if they don’t anticipate them being on the roster.
  3. You say that, but the Bills just posted this picture on their FB. It is of Edmunds, Knox, Von, Josh, Diggs, and Dawkins. Titled "The Core". https://www.facebook.com/BuffaloBills/photos/a.75862470658/10160001682250659/
  4. Jim Kelly isn’t a good example.
  5. I was fairly confident Hodgins would not be claimed. To nobody's surprise I am an idiot.
  6. Ugh...if only Hodgins got hurt....
  7. I generally agree. But also there were some reports that he has sort of cashed it in. This might be a sign he’s ok being a career back up? I don’t know. I’m just making stuff up at this point.
  8. I literally said outside of the Browns and maybe Andy Reid. Almost every one of the 30 other orgs in the NFL let this play out until it becomes a media schyte storm. Then cuts Araiza. They had two press conferences. Your bar for excellence is quite low. Comparatively the Bills found out about this. Sat in their hands. Then cut the guy once it spun out of control. It’s what most NFL teams do. I don’t find their handling of this anything other than average when compared to a majority of their peers.
  9. C. Im grading on a bell curve. I don’t think they did anything extraordinary here. They let it play out. It became a PR nightmare. They let him go. Outside of Cleveland and maybe Andy Reid, most other teams do the same thing. Thats part of my frustration. These guys spent forever talking about community, culture, family, and that this was different. But it’s not. They behaved just like every other NFL team. The Buffalo Bills are just another NFL franchise.
  10. I think a lot of Bills fans are seeing what people (women) have been trying to say for a very long time in terms of LEO, the justice system and sexual assault. Myself as well as others have posted recently that what is described as far as LEO and the DA dragging their feet is par for the course. I’ve personally experience family who have been outright slut shamed and mocked by police in these situations.
  11. I don’t think it was a lie. I think Beane actually wants to give him space to manage his legal issues. I get the sense Beane is only releasing Matt because of public perception. McD is the only one in the org who has talked about how horrific this could be. McD seemed legitimately shook the other night. I’d imagine having daughters makes this one difficult for him.
  12. Theres an assumption by posters that the news article is the first they’re hearing of this. I could be wrong, but I cannot imagine that the girls attorney made no mention of police reports, pictures, rape kits, time lines. The Bills attorney spoke with him. Everything in the LAT article would have been discussed with the team.
  13. I keep coming back to the repetition of “this is what is best for Matt”.
  14. To be clear, when he says this it means that the coaching staff at SDSU did not mention it to them at all. Students on campus across the athletic department knew about it. Coaches had to know about it. So they either totally omitted it in conversations or nobody spoke to them.
  15. Really glad Brandon Beane did what was best for Matt Araiza tonight….
  16. He has a pending/open criminal investigation for rape in which he is named a suspect. In the interest of accuracy.
  17. I took noticed of this too. It really rubbed me the wrong way.
  18. I took Beane as being in his corner and McD as not. Beane could have said “If Matt is innocent he needs time to manage this. If Matt is guilty he can’t be apart of this organization”. But everything Beane said was about how MA needed time and space.
  19. I get the sense that BB was on the wait it out side. “He needs time to manage this situation” But McD was on the “these are serious accusations and we are empathetic of the victim” The ladies in the house are not happy with Bean at the moment and appreciated McD interjecting.
  20. 72 hours ago I was counting down the days until kick off. Today not so much. I feel a bit dirty as a fan stills
  21. And if you’re not in the 1% of rape victims that see a conviction, BB doesn’t give a poop about you.
  22. From the sounds of it Bean very much did. He didn’t seem empathetic at all.
  23. The rape kit has yet to be processed. This happens a lot in the US. There are 200k unprocessed rape kits in the US. Think about that for a minute.
  24. I get the sense that BB was on the wait it out side. “He needs time to manage this situation” But McD was on the “these are serious accusations and we are empathetic of the victim” The ladies in the house are not happy with Bean at the moment and appreciated McD interjecting.
  25. This feels like a much more serious Eric Wood non-retirement press conference. It’s a good reminder that this FO and PR team is certainly fallible. They’ve botched some of these legal/PR issues before.
