  1. This is one thing that drives me nuts about the league these days. Not that it used to be good at that stuff. But I don’t understand why there isn’t more requirements for the players to be in the facility. I mean; I get the CBA. But larger roster sizes and getting everybody in the building June 1 for 20-30 hours per week of walk throughs, technique, body maintenance; and film review would do so much to increase the product on the field.
  2. This is almost exactly how I met Trent Edwards parents. I was in line for a Bills game. It was Trent’s rookie year and hadn’t started yet. There was a nice couple in their 50’s behind me. But I was the opposite of you. I immediately asked if they were his parents. Who else would have the 2nd string, 3rd round rookie jersey on like week2. We had a good laugh over it. Nice people. Should have asked them what Dakota Fanning is like in person.
  3. I think OJ Howard is a dud and there is a chance that both Sweeney and Morris stay over him. My hottest take of the preseason is that Crowder doesn’t make the roster.
  4. Just thinking about how cool this is for some for these guys. This is likely the only/last time a lot of these guys get their name on an NFL jersey or take a snap in any capacity for an NFL franchise. And there are 20k people in a tie game. It’s a cool moment with 3 minutes to go.
  5. What does Crowder bring as slot depth that isn’t already on the roster between Shakir, Cook, McKenzie, and Hodgins? It’s unfortunate for him. But our depth inside is really good. Run with the young guys as backups for the future rather than the vet on a one year deal trying to get paid next year.
  6. I’m staying with my hot take. Crowder is the odd man out for the last WR position.
  7. I am staying with my hot take. Crowder is the odd man out for the last WR on the roster.
  8. Starting to believe the camp hype on Benford. He’s all over the place. Cam Lewis with a great series. Our secondary depth has got to be the best in the league.
  9. If Keenum velocity is too much, Crowder is toast when QB1 is playing.
  10. Really? I didn’t know which direction AB was going to go. This didn’t disappoint. What a wild human.
  11. This shows up for me as "potentially sensitive content". Honest question for Twitter. WTF could possibly be offensive? Are they thinking Singletary is throwing gang signs? (the shocker?!)
  12. If Bojo taught us anything, it is all about the holder not the kicker.
  13. Feels like camp used to play in OP then come back to Rochester? Maybe that was with 4 preseason games?
  14. F1's Lewis Hamilton is actually part of the buying group. https://metro.co.uk/2022/08/10/nfl-group-featuring-lewis-hamilton-buys-denver-broncos-in-record-deal-17158024/
  15. I am not high on Austin or Stevenson....like at all. My thinking was that between McKenzie, Cook, Shakir, Hodgins, and to an extent Knox, they have all the skill sets they could ever need to play inside at this point. So where does Crowder fit in? I sort of said that thinking the Bills only keep 6. But they will keep more, so in that case he is likely still here.
  16. In no particular order. Josh Poyer Tre Losman EJ Bledsoe Paup Bruce Andre Thurman
  17. I had a hot take today that Hodgins and Kumerow makes the roster with Crowder being cut or traded. Looking at this depth chart, it’s not thaaat wild. Shakir is basically a lock and listed as SWR3. Kumerow and Hodgins are the primaries outside. I think Shakir moves to SWR2 and Crowder goes for a draft pick to free up $1M. (Cap wizards can correct me. I think in a trade the Bills are only on the hook for his signing bonus, since it’s a one year deal, right?)
  18. The "big slot" is actually becoming much more common in the league. Just look at how athletic TE's are becoming. Sort of a similar concept. But even guys like Evans and Adams are spending a good amount of time inside. There are times you play McKenzie and times you play a guy like Hodgins. Both are mismatches for all sorts of reasons.
  19. Tried to merge, but it did not work. Hodgins played a lot of "big slot" at OSU. He can certainly play both. I think there is a world where there is actually a log jam. Shakir has had a great camp, can provide depth anywhere, and is staying on the roster. Cook is lining up outside all the time, plus Dawson Knox. So why not keep Hodgins and drop Crowder at that point? You have all the inside skill you really need. Where is the playing time for a guy like Crowder in that room vs. additional depth outside?
  20. Hodgins played a lot of the "big slot" at OSU. He can certainly play inside.
  21. Austin and Stevenson have proven to be not good returners. Stevenson may still have some upside because he is young. But he wasn't good last year. The competition is likely Kumerow vs. Hodgins. One thing that isn't being discussed is that there is a world where Crowder is the odd man out. Shakir can play both inside and out. I believe Hodgins was used as a big slot at OSU as well. Plus Cook. Unless Crowder starts lighting it up quickly, the offense may have enough tools inside. From a cap perspective, keeping and cutting Crowder cost basically the same thing. $1.87M to cut and $1.98M to keep. With a $750k signing bonus he might actually be a good trade piece.
  22. Can I get you a tissue or a tube sock?
