  1. I couldn’t think of anything quickly and I really like Mangos.
  2. That has been my thought and I think it will be relatively cheap to prove to the league that he is both healthy and productive while chasing a ring. Honestly I don't want anything more long term than that with OBJ. We have 20+ FA next year. I would rather reserve that money for keeping our own. OBJ is just a fail safe for depth and mismatches. Shannon and Skip were talking about living in KC, BUF, CLE etc vs. LA and NYC. I just don't see him signing a long term deal anywhere other than LA this year. I do think KC is on the table, but Buffalo has the inside line on this one. KC would be remiss not to propose to his agent that OBJ and a healthy secondary is worth 4 points against Buffalo.
  3. The Bills have 20+ contracts expiring and are currently over next years estimated cap. I am glad we didn't pull the trigger on this.
  4. Asking how he didn't DOMINATE is different than asking how did he end up having to recruit himself. The answer is he wasn't all that good. I know some posters here always "knew" he was the guy. But you can't "know" that one guy is going to buck every single historical trend to ever exist. That is just homerism. There were people who thought EJ, Trent, JP, etc. were going to "break all the rules" too. Josh didn't dominate college ball because he wasn't good enough. The Bills gambled on his work ethic and measurables in a sport filled with guys with the elitist work ethic and measurables on the planet. It all worked out because all of the stars aligned.
  5. We (city, county, state) just gave ~ a billion dollars to a billionaire. I don't mind the community kicking back for more community resources.
  6. I didn’t think BB would pull the trigger on OBJ. And honestly, I didn’t want to. But that McKenzie performance against KC…woof.
  7. OP is about total yards. Not passing only. I just used the yards OP put down.
  8. 372 is combined passing and rushing.
  9. To make the math easier, the single season record for YPG for a QB is 347. Josh is on pace to beat it significantly, currently at a clip of 372 yards per game. Remarkable. 352 yards per game would get him to 6000 total yards. A first for the NFL.
  10. Dane Jackson is listed in the bottom 5. We gave up a few untimely 3rd and longs. I would imagine that those are weighed heavily on the defensive side of the ball. A lot is probably the Mahomes factor. The dude is maybe the slipperiest QB of my lifetime. Whatever Josh is to a physical QB, Mahomes is the same to finesse when it comes to athleticism.
  11. One thing that I don't thing is being accounted for is that the Bills likely only sign him to finish out this season. He'd come in for depth and chase a ring. With our current cap situation and the guys we have coming up I would be pissed if they gave OBJ any real money for more than a few months. There is a world where OBJ comes in, puts up some numbers, and ends up back with LAR for 2023. I was with you on the ambivalence until I saw McK lay an egg against KC. I have been pounding the table to get him involved on a more full time basis. Then a clutch drop and the fumble. Ugh. Next please. Right there with you on the contract. Get OBJ in and let him out after the playoffs to go try and get a big pay day. We have Edmunds, Poyer, Oliver, and Davis coming up. I have no interest in taking any money away from those guys for OBJ.
  12. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that Tua goes into protocol again this year. Also, I am not confident NFL doctors are real doctors....or even real humans. Like with Jordan Poyers chest/lung. Most of our doctors wouldn't let us play bar league hockey let alone NFL football. This is my take on most things. Guys want to play through some Schitt's Creek and start walking with a walker at 45 years old? By all means, what do I care. But you don't mess with your brain, and most of the time athletes need protecting from themselves.
  13. 2022 Dane Jackson is better than 2021 Levi Wallace. I won't be shocked if Elam or Benford work their way into the starting line up come playoffs. But right now I think he is a full standard deviation ahead of Elam and Benford.
  14. Shady is just wrong on a lot of the Philly stuff. He is a homer at the end of the day. He talks about the roster and the defenses. Run defense specifically. But Buffalo has the overall advantage on Philly in nearly every category but their run game. Everybody was quick to say Philly has the better roster....but do they? Not to mention that the Bills went through the SB champs, the no 1. seed in the AFC, and Patrick Mahomes to get here. Meanwhile Philly has run the gauntlet of some of the worst teams in the league. Rush Def:Advantage Buffalo Buffalo: 3.5 YPC - 452 yards - 4 TD Philly: 5 YPC - 659 yards - 6 TD Pass Def: Advantage Buffalo, less scoring more INTs Buffalo: 1232 yards - 5TD - 10 INT - 19 Sacks Philly: 1129 yards - 7TD - 9 INT- 17 Sacks Pass Off: hahahahaha Buffalo: 1988 yards - 17 TD - 4 INT Philly: 1502 - 6TD - 2 INT Rush Off: Philly Buffalo: 707 yards - 4.8 YPC - 3 TD - 6 Fumbles Philly: 936 yards - 4.3 YPC - 13 TD - 3 Fumbles
  15. With a 17th game and averaging 330 yards 6 games (but 21 quarters), I would be shocked if he didn't break 5000 yards. Right now his PYPG is on pace to have the ~5th best season ever.
  16. Shady grew up like 30 minutes from Philly. He is a Philly kid who grew up to play on his childhood team. Of course he identifies as an Eagle.
  17. I agree with this. Jalen has been a play maker, but the guy only has like 6 passing TD's. Until he proves to be able to slice and dice, I take Buffalo all day everyday and think they are ranked over their record. Their schedule has been easy, and the rest of their season is a relative joke. They are likely about as good as the last few Titans and/or Colts teams.
  18. I’ve really liked the how embarrassing the whole Russ contract has been for Denver. I know it’s likely in our best interest for Denver to win this one. But still, I like the embaRUSSment.
  19. One hand washes the other. Allen needed Daboll early. Then Allen covered up some inadequacies in play calling later in his tenure.
  20. But do they drawings?
  21. A charter company won’t do that. It’s against the law, a huge fine, and the driver can lose his entire career. I once did Dallas to San Diego for work with a 40’ trailer in 18 hours. That was wild. Watching the sun come up driving through NM was one of the most gorgeous things I’ve seen in my entire life. What an underrated area of the country. West Texas is trash though.
  22. Right. The driver needs 8 hours in between. So that works. A lot to the time they’ll pull over at a rest stop and there’s a guy waiting to take over in say Indy. That guy will do Indy to KC and back to Indy the next day. Switch again. I’ve never seen them ride together. I thought for sure the Bills would have had him go straight through. But that’s a long day in the car for a guy that’s gotta play a day later. So I get why they’d have him stop too.
  23. A few things: 1. Both kickers and punters are nothing short of remarkable these days. Guys are absolutely booming FG’s and punts. 2. I think there is something to practicing. Unsure if it’s points scored because I think there is a lot of sloppy football these days which can creat high and low scoring games. But I don’t think it’s a with/without pads issue. I think it’s pure quantity of practice time. Guys are basically forbidden from team facilities for huge portions of the calendar year. I’m the next CBA I’d be willing to halve the total padded practices to get these guys back in team facilities 30-40 hours per week starting May 1. Even 4 x 6 hour days starting then would be huge for the game. No reason these guys can’t be running plays in shorts, doing drills, working with trainers, lifting weights, and watching film together.
  24. I think it’s DJ to start. I think Elam and Tre give us the ability to play a lot more man and I expect a healthy increase in snap count as we moved forward.
