  1. Or maybe he will get the Sammy Watkins/Lee Evans "decoy" treatment. Like he might not produce, but he is the reason that everything else around him happens even.
  2. I actually had this issue in Buffalo this week. I was trying to play the 1'Oclock game at my tailgate and brought my firestick. Super annoying.
  3. Is this the part where you and @1ManRaid start posting links to your linkedin?
  4. Right, I understand why people want McKenzie off the field. I am not arguing that he shouldn't. I was saying that the problem isn't that we needed an upgrade behind McKenzie. Shakir and Cook are already on the roster and not taking any meaningful snaps away from McKenzie. Hell, we just gave our TE a $15M AAV extension. For reference, in 2020 Travis Kelce was targeted, as in the ball was thrown to him, 110 times when lined up in the slot.
  5. This is where I am at. I really don't get it. And on top of that, I think they sort of forced their hand into a Bud Dupree sized extension. Chubb seemed prime for a 1-2 year prove it deal to get his head on straight, get back to form, and stay healthy. But now that the Dolphins already gave up a first for him, they'll have to extend him. The league/GM's likely had more leverage had his deal expired, this move gave all the leverage back to Chubb.
  6. I think part of the issue is we have had issues with putting together a strong run blocking OL. So we are "meh" at RB, the IOL situation makes it worse, but pass blocking has been OK. Then we enter this viscous cycle of "we gotta get a guy to give us production in the run game". I do think this move will actually increase the number of touches Singletary gets, which I am a fan of. RB's have to get into rhythm. The "take McKenzie off the field take" is grating me a little. We already think Shakir should be getting more snaps than he is getting. Cook was drafted in the 2nd partially because of his ability to line up wide. This isn't actually a void that needs filling. (That's what she said)
  7. We have such a good FO. So good. But the RB position just sort of feels like this past Miami game, just a wild comedy of errors. You can even throw in the constant benching of TJ Yeldon into the mix. Given the cost of Hines and our cap and contract expirations, I suspect ANOTHER top 100 pick spent on a RB.
  8. Put me firmly in the "meh" column. More than anything I am just annoyed at our RB roster management. For such an A+ front office, we are so wonky here. 2 x 3rds on Moss and Singletary 1x 2nd on Cook Dislike Moss. Trade him for another and more expensive version of Cook, the guy we just spent a 2nd on 2 months ago. I am guessing we lean into Singletary the rest of the year and get away from the RB by committee. Which is fine and I actually like. But given our cap constraints for 2023 and the fact that we have 20+ players with expiring contracts, Singletary isn't likely in the plans. Which means we spend another top 100 pick on a RB behind an OL that struggles with run blocking. I think this is a fairly inconsequential move but I am really frustrated by it.
  9. Wasn't part of the big value-add for Cook that he could also line up at WR?
  10. Somebody has to replace TJ Yeldon.
  11. Or until they trade a first round pick for and extend a guy like Chubb for $16.5M AAV and he has one full season in his career. Miami fans on the internet are acting like this is a Miller to the Rams type of move. I just don't see it. EDIT: My guess is, since Miami is already over invested with a 1st the pressure is on them to extend him and they pay him Bud Dupree money. Right around $16.5M AAV. Just speculation.
  12. I did the same thing.
  13. It seems wild. A first and change for a guy that has not played a full year in 4 seasons and has averaged 5 sacks per year. That includes a 12 sack rookie season. Maybe this works out for Miami, but I wouldn't even know where to begin with compensation. They gave up a first so they need him for more than 8 games to get any "value". He just sort of screams a 1-2 year prove it deal on the cheap to get his head and game back right. I certainly wouldn't give up a first round pick for that.
  14. On one hand you are right. I would probably be more upset in the moment. But also, you are still talking about it and telling the story about an a-hole driver. Which is likely more attention than you would have given it otherwise. I think you cancel yourself out here.
  15. I am not referring to their desks. I mean when they talk about when they talk about the Bills vs. Jets and both of their logos are put on screen. Or when Rodgers comes on on a Tuesday and the screen shows his name and a Packers helmet in the corner as a graphic. I am under the impression that NFL logos cannot be used in these instances on the PMS. Also, why after week 8 of this year? It doesn't make sense.
  16. When young people die without a listed cause of death a lot of the time it is a mental health issue. For his family and friends, I hope this isn't the case. For the guys in the Bengals locker room, I hope this isn't the case either. It has got to be a tough spot to only put up 13 points and then have something like this happen internally. What a sad situation for everybody involved.
  17. Wait, when you watch replays of the talking heads on the ESPN app, they remove the actual highlights from the show? I didn't realize. But that one actually makes a lot more sense to me than what it sounds like what is going on here. They basically have a one time use, or live only license.
  18. Just to be clear, the base of my understanding of what is happening here is that if a network wants to show a Bills helmet next to a Jets helmet this week, it will cost them more than $4M. That seems wild. I really think this is the NFL trying to squeeze McAfee and not the PMS actually violating the terms of their licensing agreement. The guy has a $120M FanDuel contract. I bet a letter was out the door before his show even aired yesterday.
  19. I am a similar age to Zimmer. It really feels like that lately. Pandemic aside. It feels like every couple of weeks it is a friends brother, or a guy I went to high school with, or a co-worker, or their partner. It is really wild.
  20. The Bills have 24 players with expiring contracts this offseason. $9.5M for Hockenson after paying $15M for Knox would be an absolute luxury spend. Borderline irresponsible. Adding on that we would give up cap space AND draft picks. I understand the cap can be manipulated, but I would rather take a day two TE on draft day and put $9.5M into Davis, Poyer, Morse, Ike, Edmunds or Jackson, etc.
  21. I don't think that is an issue. As we have seen this year Morris and Gilliam are big capable pass catchers. Sure, Sweeney is the back up for Knox, but situationally Morris and Gilliam will be the go-to's.
  22. Just for reference this was in the context of you defending another poster who was pushing for higher ticket prices/PSL's to weed out the undesirable behavior.
  23. The Fan Duel contact was signed nearly a year ago.... The NFL sent a letter the last few days. I wouldn't be shocked if there is a consumer protection issue here. Imagine Microsoft telling me I have to pay extra for spellcheck mid-cycle even though I paid for the license for a year. I can't imagine that the licensing agreement runs from week 8 to week 8 from year to year. McAfee is big enough not to get pushed around on this and likely will have, or already has, attorneys sending a letter to the league. Look for team logos to be reinstated in relatively short order.
  24. Not strong enough to handle your moms tight end though.
  25. This felt like the TB/Patriots years, but the script was flipper. It didn’t matter what GB did. Really long sustained drives. Commit to the run. Win the turnover battle. Force Allen into mistakes. Rattle Diggs. GB was never able to get into the game.
