I feel so honored. I am not a mod. I am going to take that as you thinking I am a long time, regular, level headed poster. As a peasant like yourself, I will have to defer to @SDS , @Simon, or @Hapless Bills Fan

I am unsure if you want me to be in charge of this unless you want to lose all of your money...There are much more experienced gamblers than myself.

Josh is a bigger, faster, modern day Favre. He is going to be spectacular more often than not. But that also means he will have the occasional clunker. Maybe Gabe is just a paper tiger, but after the last two weeks of QB play he isn't on my Schitts Creek list yet.

And what happens to this team with Josh, Milano, Poyer, Edmunds, Jackson, Jordan Poyer, Rousseau are all playing at 80% for 5, 6, or at this point 12 weeks? That isn't a formula that wins you the Super Bowl, home field advantage or not. In fact, that isn't a formula that likely even gets you home field advantage. While being cautious the team has made it to 6-2 and the number one seed in the AFC to date. We have proven that we cannot beat the Jets or the Dolphins with a banged up roster and because of the loses round 2 just got a lot more important. So get right, go 4-2 in the division, and everything will fall into place.

This is where I am at. Tre last year. Poyer this year for me. Then I have a closet full of jerseys of players who never signed a second contract in Buffalo.

How much on Sunday will be an evaluation of Brandon Beane?
Mango replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reasonable talking point. So much of the conversation this week and last has been: WR’s suck Run Game/RB’s suck Run D sucks OL sucks The board consensus seems to be that Brandon Bean is a witch. Assembled the best roster in the league. But the board consensus also seems to be that we aren’t good enough to beat anybody without Josh. I don’t think one game is an indicator positive or negative. But we also can’t have it both ways. -
I just watched an old Kobe or Shaq* interview and they said in HS one of them used to play their friends to 100 and spot them 99 points. If we took the best basketball player on this message board in his prime he wouldn’t be able to score any points on HS Kobe Bryant let alone 6 on adult Lebron James. (I am fairly certain it was Kobe, but I just saw an interview with Shaq about him in HS today)

I started this post before I went into surgery and am finishing this in post op. People don’t do drugs because they suck. I think the big variable in the decision making is will be what percent is Josh now, and what percentage will he be with how much rest. I actually asked my surgeon what he thought pre op. And he basically said something similar. He won’t get better if he plays on it. So they have to decide if whatever his status is is good enough to win a Super Bowl. He said he’d sit him for a week or two and try and at least get him at or over 90% and rolling with your QB being less than that was a risk. And by risk he meant that it would be tough to win a championship with a QB at 85%.

I love Son. I second this. Sato Ramen on Main St. by UB South makes legit Ramen. There isn't another place in the city that comes close. Pho Dollar on W. Ferry is a great hole in the wall pho place if that is your jam. I grew up on the West Side so I am partial, but 5 Points Bakery has the absolute best cinnamon roll on the planet. It won't be a big giant think like you are used to, but they are basically crack.

One of my favorite restaurants is Roost. I have other favorite "things" at other restaurants. But in terms of experience, quality, vibe, price, etc. Roost is my favorite spot pound for pound. Their executive chef/owner is one of the most notable chefs in the region. Martin Danilowicz is the head chef. I believe he wrote the original menu at Left Bank forever ago and was then replaced by Mark Weatherby shortly after. He was the Executive Chef at the Buffalo Staple Just Pasta forever. When that closed he took off to Toronto for a while and was EC at a few places there. He came back a while ago and had Martin Cooks, which was phenomenal, and I believe Buffalo's only prix fixe restaurant. He closed that and opened Roost. Upscale casual based Seasonal menu, trendy, affordable, great beer and cocktail list, and super approachable. Not stuffy in the least. https://www.roostwny.com/eat Source: I have worked in a lot of Buffalo Restaurants.

Honestly, why do you come to an internet message board and read the comments? The entire point is to have a conversation and go back and forth with opinions, conjecture, whatever. If you just want to read what is going on without any outside noise, stick to the front page of TBD. Otherwise coming here, or any other internet message board, will always be "This is what I think will happen..." or "I think player X is underperforming because of ABC..." Stop thumbing your nose at a concept you don't need to participate in.

When I was younger I slept (passed out) next to a toilet on a tile floor and crushed my ulnar nerve. I couldn’t move half my fingers for months. It was on my dominant hand, it was both hilarious and brutal. I couldn’t even write my own name. Edit: To clarify, I passed out on top of my arm on a tile floor. The pressure and duration crushed and killed the nerve. It took a few months to get back to 100%

Entire franchises ride on the backs of QB's. I wouldn't let Allen anywhere near a football field if I thought it would take away from the next 10 years of my franchise. I know the Super Bowl is palpable but at 6-2 we have some leeway to at least sit Allen for a few weeks and come back a bit better and safer long term. Our two loses to two decent Miami and Jets teams absolutely blows.

Josh has always been a bit inconsistent. His play making ability makes him dangerous. We have to take the good with the bad. He isn't playing well and deserves the criticism. And when he plays out of his mind he also deserves the praise. It is what it is. He is a bigger, stronger, faster 2022 version of Brett Favre. It is just something we have to accept at this point. Josh Allen will be a rollercoaster. But dangnabbit he is our big beautiful rollercoaster, and one of the best overall players in the NFL.
