Jerry Sullivan crosses the line. Comments against women.
Mango replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he was called out under this regime and he was basically like "The media is also part of the team and it can be our job to inspire the team through our criticism". Basically he is an arse and when the team fails he goes "seeeeee I told ya so" and when he is wrong he says "good thing I was a total piece of poop to you. If I wasn't you might not have played with such anger and vitrol to prove me wrong!". I don't mind being critical. I have a tendency to be critical. He just doesn't seem like a good or nice guy. He is a rude contrarian for the sake of being a rude contrarian (and making himself feel good). They had three people commenting in the live. Nobody is listening. You can't cancel a show nobody is watching or listening too. That's actually the most insulting part for them. They're too irrelevant to be cancelled. 99% of us probably didn't know this podcast existed until Sullivan's idiocy. -

One isn't enough, we need 2 RB's who can also line up in the slot. Preferably I would like to draft for one and trade for another.
-
Bahaha. Yes, they have dropped the ball on 3rd down. What a joke....
-
The Dolphins have the same number of drops as us with near identical attempts.....

Did we just do a thing? Look at us!

The first line tells us all we need to know. "Three people have commented on the live stream..." Congrats on your three viewers. What a bunch of clowns. -
RB's and TE's who chip aren't capable of being quality pass catchers? I am not giving a pass to the OL. I am not saying he doesn't have blocking responsibilities. But yours and others assertion that Knox isn't effective in the passing game because of "blocking" is waaaaaay overblow. Based on the numbers of routes run, and time spent lining up our wide, he isn't effective as a pass catcher because of the QB not because of lack of opportunity.

I agree, I have seen the same. When I see him take the deep shot I have gotten frustrated because often there is a high percentage throw right underneath it. I believe it was the the second quarter Sunday he tossed the ball on 2nd down to Davis who was double covered 15 yards deep. But 7-8 yards deep was Shakir running underneath open. Take the 3rd and 3. I would post it, but the new A22 sucks on NFL+. I used to be able to sort between drives, passing plays, etc. Now I have to play it straight through. Super annoying.

I was at the game Sunday, so when I go I re-watch later in the week because you miss so much live. I saw the condensed game yesterday and got through half the all-22 this AM before work and there are some plays Josh keeps alive by being Josh. But man, he really has been forcing so many tough throws. He ended two drives in Q1 by literally throwing away to balls rather than hitting Cook or Hines who were both open underneath. Protection was particularly bad Sunday, but he didn't do himself a lot of favors. He is the most talented QB in the league, and I think that causes him to try and do too much at times. I have been waiting for him to pull himself out and have a "get right game" and he just hasn't been able to. I am assuming he knows this too and that is why he specifically asked for Brown and Beasley to come back.
-
He is 11th in routes run and is a pass catcher on 75%+ of snaps. This is a thing people keep saying, but it isn't true. I think because Josh is so talented we are quick as fans to quickly point the finger at Dorsey, or scheme, or anything else other than QB play. But ultimately Josh Allen hasn't played up to Josh Allen standards. The current version of Josh is better than most QB's in the league. But he isn't seeing the field well since the bye. That isn't a get out of jail free card for OL, Dorsey, WR's etc.

Knox lines up in the slot 6th most in the NFL. He is a receiver as much as any TE in the NFL.
-
Actually McKenzie has 3 5+ catch games.

I think part of the back and forth is that there has been a vocal crowd pounding the table for Beasley and a vocal response that people thought he was toast. Here we are, he is on the roster. And now people are either saying either "Finally this is the solution!" or "What a nothing burger. The guy is dunzo". I really think the issue is that we have 2 receiving backs that we rarely throw the ball to, along with a high priced TE who lines up in the slot as much as any TE in the league but is never thrown to, an OL that is inconsistent on its best days, and a QB that has a penchant to attempt low percentage throws more often than high percentage throws. Cole Beasley doesn't fix any of that.

Drops are an issue. Don't get me wrong. But people are also conflating catch% with drops. Take the Jets game, Shakir's only target was basically a throw away OOB. That counts as 0% catch rate on the stat page. Also, Miami is tied in drops with 25 and they have Hill, Waddle, and Big Mike at TE. You throw the ball a lot, you get a lot of drops. We seem to be dropping a ton the last month. I don't get it. It didn't feel like a huge issue in the first 8 games of the season.

This is Josh's team. He picked his OC. He asked to pull specific guys out of retirement. We signed your BF to a big TE contract. You pay your QB big money, you let him call his shots. I have no issue. But that also comes with some responsibility. Your contract limits your weapons. When you pick your weapons/play caller, you open yourself up to bear the brunt of your production.

Honest question, what are the PS rules around the playoffs and the salary cap? I know after 3 call ups, a player needs to be signed to the 53 to play again. What if Beasley doesn't play this week and gets the other 3 call ups? Do we have to sign him to the 53? Or can we keep him on the PS, and not count him against the cap? And if that is the case, would the same work for a guy like OBJ and playing with cap dollars?

The Bills were noted for having the best or one of the best screen games in the league. We ran a lot of them with a lot of success.

Erik Turner has posted a bunch of videos of Beasley in TB as if they are some sort or tendencies or proof of anything. He played 13 snaps before he retired. He’s just posting all 13 plays and being like “ooooo defenses are scared”

I had a couple people laughed (or vomited) at me early in this thread for suggesting something similar. Both Brown and Beasley are there in an attempt to get the QB play back on track. Josh is a stud. But he has been a bit off for a number of weeks now. Beasley and Brown are efforts to find his rhythm by recreating past success before we enter the playoffs.
-
This is not real math. But messing around in the playoff machine, it feels like the only way for NE to end up in the 6 seed is for them to at least go 2-1 against Buffalo, Cincinnati, and Miami.
-
Beasley feels like a patch on a larger problem which is that our QB isn't seeing the field at the moment. 2 of our first 3 stalled drives were because of actual throw-aways rather than taking Cook and Knox underneath. Beasley doesn't help that. If Josh feels more comfortable throwing to Beasley, that is great in the short term. But at some point he is going to have to start throwing to guys not named Diggs. I get Josh is hyper gifted. It must make decision making really difficult because he can make throws with some regularity that others can't. But if we aren't hitting those throws regularly, they stall drives. That isn't a get out of jail free card for the OL, McKenzie, Davis, or Dorsey.

Wow, I cannot believe this wasn't being discussed in any other thread this morning.....
-
I have a feeling the Pats are going to mess up seeding for somebody. They play Buffalo, Cincinnati, and Miami down the stretch. Something in my gut says they win one of those games and it either changes the 1 seed or boots Miami from the playoffs.
-
I think the Bills could lose that and still be the 1 or 2 seed (KC). Bengals still have to play the Ravens again who currently lead the division.
