  1. I think Allen makes himself the system at times. Miami, he carried a battered team. Today and last week were rife with bad decisions. He’s not a dud. He is the franchise. I agree with that. But he’s gotta calm down. I was psyched after the first half. I thought we were on pace for a great team win against a great team. I thought he’d be like 23/30, 220 yards, 2TD. Nothing spectacular. But he’s tossing the ball to everybody. No turn overs. Playing within himself. But that didn’t happen…
  2. You can name me. Allen is why we lost today, and he’s why we lost last week. His decision making has been flawed all the way back to the GB game. I have been going through the all-22 and he’s staring guys down, not even moving his head, looking past guys underneath to try and hit the home run over and over. If all the above hits regularly, you’ll win 50-14 every week. But we can’t hang our hat every week on hero ball. We are attempting too many low percentage throws. It’s catching up to us at the moment. Your reaction is so thin skinned like I called his mom fat or kicked his dog. He is stringing together bad games. It happens. He’s a bigger, faster, stronger Brett Favre. He’ll be fine. But there are going to be really high peaks and some valleys as well. As a fan base we will certainly ride the wave. I haven’t seen much of anything anymore “disrespectful” than what I just posted, and I think it’s reasonable.
  3. Oh I agree. I’m saying the most dangerous thing to happen in shotgun is 3 incompletions and we burn 10ish seconds.
  4. He has one hand on the ball the hand on top is Justin Jefferson. Cam Lewis hand is behind it. Well done…
  5. Fumble occurred with 41 seconds. Rolling Allen out and two incomplete passes. Likely at least erases 6 seconds off the clock. At which point you can either try and pass for the first and lose another 3 seconds, run the ball, or run out of the end zone so we are kicking off/punting with less than 30 seconds on the clock.
  6. It’s kinda like when you get out of a bad relationship and your new partner does something similar to your ex and you loose your Schitts Creek because you’re really arguing with the old person even though the new one is in front of you. I am not quite healed yet from the draught years. The last three weeks have me triggered.
  7. You’ll never go broke making a profit. Just play the sticks and give yourself three more chances. You can’t rely on picking up low percentage plays as your bread and butter. Eventually you’ll stutter even if your are better at it than everybody else.
  8. The defense held up better than I thought they would today. Jefferson was a cheat code. With 6 starters out the defense needed the offense more than ever to keep them fresh. Defensive woes didn’t start until the offense sputtered.
  9. Buffalo beating KC twice is not a valid argument for Allen being better than Mahomes. Because QB’s are not wrestlers, or runners or CBvWR battles. They don’t actually play against each other.
  10. THIS ISN’T HOW THIS WORKS. There is no way you don’t know that.
  11. My big frustration is sorting through “what is the blip”. Mahomes has all of these outstanding runs that you just think “what a weird/bad stretch” Allen has a lot of film with showings like today. But the stretch you listed him as “sorted out” is just 7 games. Im certainly not all the way there. But it’s a creeping thought the more of these games start to reappear.
  12. A lot of new posters this year and even more than usual today. The front page is brutal, I can’t imagine the time it will take to clean it up, especially since the mods are wallowing the same as we are. I’d like to start a petition for a “buy the mods a round” option/button/Venmo account (@TBD-HumanFund?) Kinda like how some places let you buy the kitchen a round. You guys deserve it lately.
  13. And this needed a new thread why? I disagree with your take. And I also hate the fact that you refuse to review anything else on the front page so you can just post your nonsense. Congrats on your 171 posts….you’ve been an…addition?
  14. Putting my criticism of Allen aside for just a minute. I’ve been super critical of Hamlin, he was much better today. Same with Edmunds, we seriously missed him at points today.
  15. I’ve been super critical of McBeane. I think you are wrong here. Allen has been a player who has refused to take what the defense has given him forever. He’s been trying to squeeze in ill-advised throws deep since he first took a snap in the NFL. Allen’s struggles the last 3 weeks have all been his refusal to throw underneath or see the field. We have seen tons of second half JA17
  16. Would it kill us to run some more play action? I don’t mean to bring up the staff because Allen has been the problem for 3 weeks now. After the Jets game I re-upped my all-22 to try and figure out WTF is going on. It’s brutal.
  17. Booth Jr played in his first ever nfl game today. But don’t let that get in the way. Also Benford had great coverage on a number of occasions. His draft status is irrelevant. He’s out played a couple first round picks this year already. Crediting Jefferson’s performance to Benford would be…incorrect. .
  18. Jesus. Every single thread after this loss is started by somebody I’ve never seen on here before. Then all the responses just seem spammy.
  19. I think he’s played dominant and we’ve been dominant, so he just grips too tight to “be dominant”. Then when that doesn’t go well, he presses harder to get that game, drive, play, etc. back. We’re just in a vicious circle we have to get out of. Glad this is happening now rather than December or January.
  20. and…..? Matt Ryan and the Colts beat Mahomes too? Is Matt Ryan better? Is Kirk Cousins better than Josh? I think you know that’s not how any of this works.
  21. I hadn’t gotten the all 22 this year until this week. The Bills were rolling and I just wanted to enjoy the season. But I re-upped this week. Saying we’re missing Beasley operates under the assumption that nobody is running crossers, slants, or anything quick/shallow. And that’s just not the case. There are guys he’s around and open and he isn’t even looking. Or he looks and throws over their head to the tough throw behind him for 20 rather pick up 6 and play the sticks.
  22. He forced all sorts of balls last season. He just got hot at the back end of the year and the playoffs so we assumed he shook that from his ethos permanently. Fast forward to this 2022…he didn’t. (He also said for the first time in his career he took an offseason off. It may not be to blame. But after three brutal weeks it’s a worthy talking point)
  23. That’s exactly what it is. The entire first half just felt like 1st down- hero ball 2nd down- throw behind the line of scrimmage 3rd down-hero ball 4th down- punt “oh crap, gotta make up for 3 and out on the next series”
  24. Our last possession before Minnesota tied it up went incomplete deep to Diggs , incomplete to Diggs, incomplete to Singletary. Josh’s continuous need to try and force the ball down field is stalling drive after drive. And/or putting us in 3rd and tough situations which we can’t rely on over and over again.
