  1. Setbacks? I understand a QB with a broken finger on their throwing hand not being able to play. That is super easy. But setbacks? There are no more games if you don't win and a broken finger is a reasonable injury to "come back" from in the offseason.
  2. In his defense, I started my fan duel account with not a ton of money, I placed a couple bucks to keep Sundays or primetime games interesting. I started with like $40, I’ve never replenished it, and now I have enough where I can put a couple hundred bucks on stuff I feel good about. (I’m looking at you playoff bound Buffalo Sabres)
  3. I was thinking that the team should build Damar into the pregame. We honored the EMT’s, but maybe have them with the doctors lead the charge against the Dolphins. Then have a video from Damar to start the divisional. With any luck he can lead the charge for an AFCCG and stand on the sidelines.
  4. A lot of teams would be pleased if they could get Jaire Alexander and Sauce Gardner on the field at the same time.
  5. Josh picked his OC, his back up QB, his WR depth, and got his college roommate a gig on the practice squad. This is Josh’s team.
  6. I agree. If we have 2 of the top 10 WR’s in the entire league, we would be all set at that position. If we grab Justin Herbert I don’t think we would need a back up QB either. Travis Kelce would really set up our TE room nicely….
  7. I don't know how it took 4 pages before somebody quoted the actual deleted tweet. All this talk over Gatorade Maybe it is that Philips is allowed to use his arms? Or Dorsey is going to allow Josh to throw the ball to the RB's? Could OBJ be on the table? Has anybody got tabs on Ertz?
  8. I have it on my phone and the all-22, but Allen's throw to Davis against Chicago for a TD was a difficult throw and Shakir could have hopscotched his way in. As somebody who watches the A22 every week, there are a lot of open throws over looked for the big play.
  9. I think the Kurt Warner QB Confidential on Allen help explain a bit of that. I dislike how Warner chimes in with "I was never as talented as Allen" etc. But I do think a lot of his frustrations are similar to mine. Allen is a bit of a cheat code, so start there. But he attempts a lot of hard throws, and ignores a lot of easy ones.
  10. I think part of the frustration with Josh some weeks is that regardless of situation or weather, he thinks he can get the ball to his guy and his guy can make a play, regardless of probability. Josh 100% believes he can hit a guy in 10-20mph winds down the sideline.
  11. It is wild to finish with 1.7 less wins than predicted. Under performed on 15-1/15-2 with 13-3.
  12. I will keep pounding the table for a college stadium that seats 100k plus people. Preferably in the mid west-ish so both fan bases can pour in. UM, OSU, Penn State. I could compromise on Knoxville. 50k tickets to each club! I wouldn't be shocked if the NFL threw it to a newer stadium like Atlanta or Vegas just to help the argument for public funding.
  13. I agree with all of this. I think we are saying something similar, the offense can hum when he hits the long ball. But they are still low percentage, you can't count on it all the time. He does hit the underneath stuff a bit. But even that feels clunky, thrown late to a flat footed WR/RB with a defender already in route. I would like to see a bit more decisiveness. Hit the 5th step of of the drop and let it go.
  14. I have no real opinion on KK. Arizona has huge money tied up in Murray so of course they are going to go find another solution and hope their investment pays off. But I think it is largely a structural problem from the top down. They need to clear house. The next person will likely get the cane too once they can afford to drop Kyler. He carries $97M in dead cap space right now. I think of Miami as the same. McDaniels has done an OK job overall. But the Tua/concussion issues are a total disaster. Which I think falls on everybody in the building and goes all the way up to the league. McDaniel's isn't the only problem there.
  15. I was listening to the WGR pregame yesterday and they listed a ton of Allen stats in zone vs man. JA17 was between 22-30 in every zone metric and 8-12 in every man coverage metric. They were talking about in the context of "will BB get out of his man coverage, and he probably won't because BB has not answer for Josh. They simply wrote off the zone stuff because of his elbow." I almost called in, because I felt like they had glossed over what the story was. Josh being bottom of the league this year against zone coverage is a massive talking point.
  16. No there won't. The Chiefs are considered a power house team because of Mahomes in just about every NFL city. They are top 3 in just about every single power ranking. They are as deserving of winning the SB as Buffalo, Cincinnati, or Philly. If the Bills aren't good enough to beat the Chiefs at a neutral field, or Miami/Cincinnati at home, then they aren't good enough to win the whole thing. It is that simple for me.
  17. I think Kyler Murray the person is the biggest thing in the way of his success. So many reports of him being lazy. Greg Roman won't fix that.
  18. Other teams seem to get more out of young/rookie players earlier than we do. I am not sure Davis is done here. I definitely don't think he is done in the league. But Shakir is supposed to be versatile and play both inside and out. He hasn't spelled either Davis in any meaningful way. I don understand that Davis is physically a better player. Our struggles at slot are a thorn in my side. Shakir can play inside, but almost never takes any meaningful snaps. Hodgins is turning out to be a great slot guy for the NYG. (405/693 snaps are inside) We also grabbed both Hines and Cook for their ability to line up wide and they never do. (83 and 28 snaps out wide respectively)
  19. Are you speaking about concussions in general or Tua specifically. Tua, I cannot imagine him getting cleared in the current Hamlin climate. But the NFL doesn't play by the same rules as the rest of the world. As far as a football player with a concussion getting cleared to play before they are ready/it is safe? Basically all of them. It seems like every other sport has players missing weeks, to months, to an entire year for a single concussion. But in the NFL when a guy misses a second game everybody goes, "really?" There are no ramifications of this at scale in professional football.
  20. Happy for a 1pm game. Crowd is always better then too. It is like people show up at 8am regardless of kickoff. By the time 8pm rolls around everybody has reached the hangover phase of their day.
  21. I think there are a couple of things. 1. A banged up Poyer, backed up FS, and a less than 100% Tre White. Just in general this is a bigger hit. 2. We haven't been able to put together complicated coverages and looks to keep things simple for backups. A lot of man has hung Jackson out to dry quite a bit. He is a quality zone CB2. Concerning that our rookie man corner has not been able to hold down that role. 3. Losing Von sucks, but I think we have enough depth and skill on the inside of the line, plus the ascension of Rousseau to still be a problem for most teams. I think the bigger problem is we are built to play with a big lead. We haven't been able to pull away until late in games the last few weeks/months. We don't do well in spaces where we cannot commit to the run or the pass.
  22. One pass is in week 18 is not the difference between winning and losing the MVP. Come on....
  23. McDaniels/Tua aside, the league has a major issue with concussions that seems to only be getting worse. Miami is just the punching bag at the moment. Taron played 6 days later. Morse 12 or so after his 6th. There was some speculation Josh might have gotten one vs GB. He’s been near the bottom of the league against zone this season (per WGR) It’s something to think about as possible. Players will miss entire calendar years in other sports. The NFL is a disaster with this stuff.
  24. The way I process this whole thing for the Bills is that in the sales/professional world is our employer gave us time to handle a personal matter. But we aren’t getting paid for days we didn’t show up. We hit our KPI’s, we are getting our base bonus. But the days missed cost us our escalators. We’re still firmly in the running for Presidents Club. It’s unfortunate. But it is what it is. KC showed up to work and hit their escalators.
  25. Likely. McDaniels and the entire franchise sucks a lot. They’ve botched the Tua thing. But ultimately the league has a very major concussion problem. Morse is back from his 6th after 2 weeks. Taron Johnson in 6 days. I can name half a dozen players in other sports that have missed an entire season or more with concussion issues. I don’t think there has been a single NFL player. We are quick to point the finger at McDaniels specifically but this is quickly become one of the biggest black eyes on both the league and the sport.
