When will the fact that Whaley had to quietly retool a defense for Rex that was built for a different style in '14 get any press? Watching the game last night, I didnt recognize some of the players on D. I'm like.......whose that?

Glenn was a 2nd, Wood in '09 prior to Whaley joining the Bills, Kyle Williams in '06 prior to Whaley joining the Bills.

2001 was different. We kinda knew what was coming as we entered into serious cap hell after making a run for it in '98 and '99. If only Flutie started the Titans playoff game. Tom Donahoe was hired, had a great reputation and had a pretty solid '01 draft.

Yes a general answer but the play if the defense. Barring injury, the Offense will put up points consistently all year. 25+ against the Ravens, with Shady getting 2 TD's (selfishly for fantasy purposes of course).

Yes he is a 2 time super bowl winner. However, when you miss the playoffs 6 out of 7 years, cant look past that. In addition, in 2011, if it wasn't for the miracle 90 yard Cruz catch n run vs the Jets in the 2nd last game of the year, they would have missed the playoffs that year as well.

No he was not a steroid head. he is just one of the many Bills players who were not micro managed day to day or week to week by Rex and coaching staff. Not being micro managed led to his focus falling off from where it was the last two years. Quite common across other players on this roster, I might add, and its due to how lax the coaching staff is.

Regarding fixing the D, ask your self how many college defenses play a similar style to Rex's D and that's your answer. I dont there are many. That said, we draft players to fit Rex's needs.....he leaves in a year or 2, we are right back to where we are now in '17.

I had the Steelers as my Super Bowl pick. Was really getting pumped when they were on the 4 or 5 game win streak and 4 consecutive 500 + yards of o per game. If the Bills beat the Jets (I don't think we will), the Steelers O is the one unit that no one wants to play. FWIW - time stamp of the Jets - Pats OT coin toss and Baltimore taking over possession late in the 4th quarter overlap almost to the second. Maybe Coach Genius kicked to the Jets knowing that if the Jets win, that really hurts the Steelers playoff chances cause the Steelers were headed for the loss anyway. Coach Genius would then not have to worry about the Steelers O. Just saying.
