Big Ben: "Maybe I don't have it anymore"
BreezeMafia replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Things can change of course in this league week to week, there is enough talent on the Steelers roster to right the ship right away. However, top to bottom, even more so on the offense, the Steelers look like a ticking time bomb ready to implode. Sure they demolished the Ravens a week ago, but not so sure that win is really worthy of being called impressive. My view is that there are bigger issues that are effecting the team that unfortunately spills over to Sunday. -
Love Raven Stadium. Personally, the loudest stadium I have been in. The best game I ever saw played in person was the Colts at Ravens 2007 Divisional Playoff Game <playoffs for the 2006 season>. Ravens were #1 seed, with Steve McNair at the helm. I sat in the end zone, same end zone side, opposite corner Ray Lewis would do his thing out of the tunnel, with an old friend. We were a direct audience to Steve McNair's ill advised int in the end zone, which totally changed the game. Ravens were dominating till that play Viniateri kicked 5 50 yard + field goals. Colts won 15 - 6. Park anywhere near the stadium, easy in and out. Fans are rugged / battle tested / grizzled / fun, so behave.

Rotoworld ranks Whaley as worst GM in NFL
BreezeMafia replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just speculating, but when the Pegula's purchased the Bills, maybe there was an agreement in place that covered Whaley being employed for a certain amount of years. The context here is not to mean solely for Whaley, but a number of Front Office Folks. Look at the Scott Berchtold situation, he wasn't fired. He was replaced then re-positioned within the organization. Again, just speculating....... -
I read some place and will have to find it that the Bills will have estimated between $50 - $80 M in available cap heading into 2018. A couple reasons play in - the upped TV contracts and current player (again I have to look) expiring. If it was hinted at a rebuild, then 2018 is on the minds of the Bills. That said, i doubt we move on from Shady. I get it that RB's have a limited amount of mileage, but Dennison as OC did great things with CJ Anderson as RB and McDermott for a few years was the Eagles staff when Shady was an Eagle so there is some familiarity there. I would say good bye to Kyle and Eric Wood, then based on how Dareus responds to the butt whooping he is going to take from McDermott in camp, offer to Dareus a restructure opportunity. FWIW - and not to change the topic context, I am surprisingly liking the staff McDermott has put together so far.

Bills stuck with mediocre coordinators once again
BreezeMafia replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't say I agree with the "mediocre coordinator" commentary. Always have been fans of Leslie Frazier and Juan Castillo (as an OL Coach mind you). Still is wait and see mode, but with these 2 hires, so far so good. -
How about focus on the core product - the teams, and not focus on commercials, web profiles, those things, then they would not be compared to D Snyder. If you add in the money spent in the Sabres, I don't have a problem with the comparison. The shine will luster more and more till they make the hard decisions to get things right.

The "Shine" of the new toys is starting to dull for sure. Also, take a step back from commercials, national interviews, what have you.

Don't look now....Bills are now a "Top 10 Defense"
BreezeMafia replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And situational Defense as well. -
Aaron Rodgers---huge douchebag??
BreezeMafia replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gather all the facts before you call it douchy. Family "issues" can be pretty awful. Maybe you have experienced / maybe not. Story is not surprising. I did read somewhere earlier this fall that Aaron's fiancee / girlfriend was somehow involved, the context behind "involved" I don't remember the article specifically calling out. With regards to his play on the field, there is only so much he can do when his offensive line suffers injury after injury, the running game is non existent and half the D is shelved. As you take those three factors into account, he actually hasn't been as bad as we think. However, his precise passing and decision making is a bit off this year. Personally, i would rather support the off the field problems Aaron may / may not be having, than what the Bills are dealing with in Dareus. -
We are going to so get rolled on Sunday...
BreezeMafia replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea I have to agree. I just can't manufacture any path to a win. It's too bad, to. 4-5 into the bye week. -
Agreed on dehydration, but I understand the point on the heat keeping the body loose. I'll take 80 with mid to lower humidity. I read somewhere in the last day or 2 that the Bills will be dressed in White / Blue. Surprised Miami didn't go with white themselves. The White / Blue definitely works to the Bills advantage. Even with Shady on the fence, I just have a good feeling about tomorrow with Mike G filling in.

Or maybe the rising cost of NFL's Health Insurance and the end state of many players who played a "Man's Game" during the 70's / 80's / 90's have something to do with it. Not denying your points of view, only rebutting in the spirit of that was probably a different time with different circumstances.

Candidly speaking, I think you can remove Shady and Goodwin from your commentary. They both have serious heart, and they both are warriors. The other two, jury is very much out. If Shady misses this weekend, I am honestly not worried about a major drop off. I like what I have watched from Gilles. Not saying that we can easily replace Shady. With our O Line, Tyrod's ability to escape and how Gilles has already filled in, I think we will be OK.

I disagree that Gilmore thought he had help over the top. They played the replay from the end zone and he looked completely lost. He also looked like her was at half speed.

1 game at a time. On to the Dolphins. We trip up in South beach, the 4 game win streak means nada.

Bill Polian....Genius or Lucky?
BreezeMafia replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Players during the Bills rise in the 80's already on the roster pre Polian GM also include Jim Richter, Darryl Talley, Joe Devlin. The best trade he made, actually didn't receive a ton of press, was trading the '85 1st overall Supplemental Pick to Cleveland for their '85 and '86 #1's. Not arguing that trading for Biscuit was not a great move, but the trade certainly was not a fleecing. We gave up our fair share of picks for sure, I 2 #1's, #2, and maybe a 3rd. -

Should the Bills move on from Dareus?
BreezeMafia replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why not field offers. The good franchises, such as New England, except for Brady of course, do it all the time. -
