Carucci: Bills GM Nix likes Cam Newton "a great deal"
BreezeMafia replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is all deception. Deceptio n is key because Buddy doesnt want to play his hand and give up his true intentions on what player he is dialed in to. -
Keep in mind the health issue that Cutler deals with every day - diabetes. I remember being an audience to his story. In the story, Cutler shared how he has had to continually manage his diabetic condition during games. While in Denver, the Denver team of trainers and doctors had the management of his diabetes down to a practice, off day, game day and in game routine. Who knows, maybe there was an issue with his diabetic condition that led to Lovie sitting him down. I don't think it is fair for Cutler to receive the amount of criticism he had had to deal with. many players have run their given mouths about how they would have fought through the situation, like Philip Rivers of San Diego. The net here is that I think Chicago was clued in to what the real deal was, but did a very poor job of "PR" around it.

I like Buffalo's ability to know take the best available Defensive Lineman or OLB at #3. It would not surprise me if the Bills agreed to trade down and receive some extra picks.
-
So right now, it is good for the Bills to suggest they are interested in anyone of 8 - 9 players. That rumored interest could inspire a team picking lower than the Bills to offer up a sweet deal for the #3 overall.

David Harris - ILB NY Jets and Tama Hali - OLD / DE KC Chiefs

How on earth is our passing "D" 4th in the NFL??
BreezeMafia replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because our run defense is very poor. No one passes on us because they run all the time. -
Here Here......great show. Very well architected and presented

Not to steal thunder, but I have been saying the same thing since mid season and sizing up the available free agents + the cap room that the given team will have available to resign free agents. I think David Harris will be right there on a platter for the Bills to sign. He is a rock at ILB. Sign Harris, make a run for OLB / DE Tamba Hali from KC, then draft DE Da'quan Bowers from Clemson with the #4 pick overall (he should be there and available). Well done, well stated post!

Peter King givin the Bills a little lovin'
BreezeMafia replied to Sabre Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are 3 defensive players away from being a playoff team - DE / OLB, ILB and another DT. -
Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?
BreezeMafia replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even Fairbanks could attract FA's with good money and a better chance to win. -
Sick of hearing that there is no talent on offense
BreezeMafia replied to bkc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quite frankly - this team is 3 players away from contending for the playoffs: Another DT, another DE / OLB and a stud ILB -
Build around Fitz. I totally agree.

So, would you trade the #1 overall pick next year for Vick?
BreezeMafia replied to Heitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The board continues to baffle and amaze me. -
I am off the Fitzpatrick bandwagon
BreezeMafia replied to The Wang From Sang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i really have a hard time understanding whether or not some folks on this board know football. -
defensive play calling on last drive just terrible
-
23!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What does that mean? Fitz has only 23 starts in his career. I can remember Flacco throwing picks late in the game with the game on the line. Vick as well. Bradford has his share of errors coming. Look at Sanchez last year. If the Jets didn't have the nasty D, they never make the playoffs. It took Brees two full seasons of starting and overcoming his share of mistakes before he became a dominant player. I think folks are looking for error free football by a young QB in the realm of Peyton Manning 1998 / 1999 and Matt Ryan 2008 / 2009. That very rarely happens.

Can Fitzpatrick Overcome His Choking?
BreezeMafia replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz has started only 23 games in his NFL career, not even a season and a half. He is still learning. Quite frankly, his mental capacity for the position is far and away greater than a lot of QB's at game 23. To start only 23 games, sure he will get excited at the end of the ballgame and try to be a little to perfect. He will over come that. -

And how many games has Fitz started in his NFL career? -
Bill Polian's last four drafts
BreezeMafia replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For as good of drafts that Polian participated in from 1985 through 1988, he had his share of stinkers as well. 1990 was marginal at best with only Glen Parker becoming a true solid player. 1991 marginal at best as well with Henry Jones. Every GM will have their share of misses. But nothing comes close to how bad Marv missed for the Bills in 2006 and 2007 -
NO!

Anyone with ESPN Insider - Schefter Q&A
BreezeMafia replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schefter just states if there is a Franchise QB, take him. I am under the opinion that we need to rebuild the D front 7. Pick 1 top D lineman, say Bowers from Clemson, then Pick 2 either QB or maybe ILB, the 260lb'er from Alabama. Sorry bad with names right now. -
I would yes. Lee has been an exemplary Bill and he deserves to be given a chance to win. I was hoping a trade was going to happen at the 2010 dead line. Trading Lee for two picks in the 2011 draft, at least one in the third round would be good value. FOlks may respond that Randy Moss only commanded a 3rd pick. Randy Moss has been in the league since 1998 so he has played 7 more years than Lee and has 7 more years of wear on his body.

Jason Peters turning into Mike Williams ?
BreezeMafia replied to CSBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where about's in S Jersey? I am in Chester Springs. I personally love the fact that JP is having a tough because of how Glen McNown from WIP tried to deliver the impression on a WGR interview that the Eagles took the Bills to the cleaners. -
A few things to further consider regarding Kelly and not being included (I for one thought he should have been): Didn't play in NFL Until 1986 - If he signs with the Bills and plays 1983 - 1985, he would have amassed more overall yards and TD's. Add in his USFL stat's from those years and he is well into the 40,000 yards passing; Weather - If he played in a Dome (Warner) or the Sun (Marino), he would have been more than on par statistically. If any other Bills should have been included in the top 100, it should have been Billy Shaw, who many consider one of the top 2 - 3 guards of all time.
