  1. Late in the 4th qtr..........INT!!!!!!!
  2. Outside of Josh posing as Michael Jackson, I agree. The front office does owe it to the roster. The season is not over. The wildcard spots will be very, very much up for grabs later this year. Bring in Freeman, he could help right the ship and, oh by the way, give the Bills some "juice" in preparation for the New Orleans, Atlanta and Tampa games
  3. I agree. Pettine is doing a nice job. The Bills better be on alert because we don't want him getting fat up and walking in the next year or two. He is a really good coordinator. Wht I am liking the most is he is getting the most out of some players such as Dareus and Aaron Williams.
  4. Nice job is showing resolve and character in the face of adversity. The game plan was solid and the situational play calling improved. Rebounding from the Jets game was crucial, especially with how young the roster is. Wins are hard to come by in the NFL so we will take it. On to Cleveland and another tough Defensive test.
  5. Hackett is way in over his head. Bad hire. Sure he can gain experience over two to three years. Now, he is clearly out matched. As said, bad hire.
  6. I think he is probably the reason why we didn't lock up Levitre. He is playing well and is only going to get better.
  7. Hackett is way in over his head. Marrone placed a bad bet here. I shared this in another post -> Marrone thinking that Hackett could go toe to toe with Belickick, Ryan, Miami's D, Baltimore's D, KC's D, Zimmer from Cincinnati..........Really!!!!!!!!!!! Could Hackett become a good coordinator, anything is possible, but I don't want to wait until 2016 - 2017 for that to happen. Hackett was a very bad choice and has not shown any signs of improvement during these first three weeks.
  8. You state pocket collapse from inside left? Maybe thats a typo or not your intention. If I read your post correctly however, that's exactly Levitre's position good buddy.
  9. How do we all feel about giving a guard big time money now? Just saying. When he was playing for the Bills, he was no doubt our best O Lineman. Looks like we will have to revisit the guard spot in April 2014.
  10. To Hackett - Keep pumping yourself up you want to go faster. An Offensive Coordinator has to create a game plan to put his team in the best possible position. Hackett clearly is not doing that. Marrone placed a bet that Hackett was ready to contend with Belichick and Ryan, not to mention Miami's D, and that's just the AFC East. Hackett will also have to play chess vs Zimmer from Cincinnati or KC's Defense. Maybe Hackett will be ready to contend with the best defensive minds in football by 2016. Marrone - as of now, very bad bet. To Marrone - I don't mind it when a HC gets in the grill of the starting QB. However, you need to pick better spots to do that vs getting in EJ's face after EJ throws a bad incompletion down the sideline (I think it was 4th down) on a badly designed play and terrible play call. You should have lit up Hackett instead EJ. Back to Hackett - One more thing. On 3rd and 4th downs of at least 5 yards, maybe realize who your opponent is and the situation. This time it was Rex Ryan. You don't anticipate Ryan bringing the house? That's childs play. Run quick slant patterns and give EJ a chance.
  11. Dareus is just not at a level expected for the overall #3 pick in a draft. I hope I am wrong, but I suspect he will not have a good day today going against Mangold, which is no surprise when speaking of Dareus
  12. Anybody see Dareus get body slammed? Was like wow, guard just threw him over his (the guard's) hip.
  13. Doug Marrone - welcome to the NFL. Your strategy in the 4th quarter cost the Bills. No one else but you. You played to lose in the 4th quarter. Why don't you watch the Jets who allowed Geno Smith to actual play football
  14. I like what Stevie did here. Think about these four factors - Coach Marrone truly playing the cat n mouse game with whether or not EJ will start (I like EJ to start Sunday); very young roster; new coaching staff; It's the Patriots on Opening Day. Each factor could be a media circus. By Stevie throwing what he said out there, he has now redirected any potential media circus away from any one of those factors, most importantly EJ's status, to himself. I like what he did here and have ZERO problem with it. Wouldn't surprise me if he (Stevie) chatted with Coach Marrone first about Stevie's move with the media.
  15. Morning folks, I agree with some posters who feel that the Pettine didnt go to exotic yesterday. I thought he was the most conservative this preseason. Could be that Marrone saw wanted he watned to see in weeks 1 and 2 and sid, OK, that's enough, to offset any further film prep he may want to give the Patriots for week 1. Yes EJ had to have some minor procesdure, but I am of the mid set that off setting any further film is why he has parked EJ as well. Question to you all - what do you think of Dareus? Are we seeing a #3 overall talent yet?
  16. For the most part I agree with your post here. I will take it one step further. Without seeing enough of the Defensive players we drafted last year, who I think will all be 10 year pro's, I think the 2009 (except Maybin) and this 2011 draft have really stocked our roster with really good players who will help us win. 2009 and 2011 are the best drafts we had since 2001 - Clements, Schobel, Henry, and others. In 09 we scored Levitre, Wood, Byrd and Nelson. Yes Nelson has migraines, but each of those four players will take the next step this year. In this 2011 draft, obviously the anchor is Marcell Dareus. He is the player I so wanted. Our defense now is now much more stout and he will force the opposing offenses to plan around him. Think about this D Line whether we go 3-4 or 4-3- Dareus, Williams, Troup, Carrington. Mark this down - this group will be a D Line for the ages. Everyone is running their mouth about Detroit's front. This group has the potential to be dominant. In addition the Darues, I think my personal next best favorite pick is a tie between Sheppard - ILB and Searcy - S (a steal). In Sheppard, we have the future stud ILB who will start at some point this year. Think about how strong of rushing attacks we will face this year - Chiefs, Raiders, Pat's, Jet's, Titans, Chargers, and the list goes on. Sheppard will be big in making tackles at the line. In Searcy, we have a nasty hard hitting BIG safety. In addition to strong rushing attacks, think of the BIG TE's our division has and through out the league. I like Searcy's chances to start day one over Aaron Williams. And finally, Chris White. He will be a player for a long time. Who knows you may see White and Sheppard paired together for the next ten years. White takes on the blocks from the FB and Sheppard cleans house. DONE!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Stick with this young horse!
  18. Troup is going to be one of those 10 - 12 year vet's. He and Carrington, + our #3 pick will create one of the young dominant D-Lines for years to come. And all three will make Kyle Williams better, how scary is that! Now only if we can upgrade on LB's, the Bills D will have all the pieces in place.
  19. OH my goodness. My response to this comment is BFD.
  20. I am being real here when i say that Marv Levy's tenure as GM crippled the franchise and set the franchise back a few years longer than necessary.
  21. How about Pat Devlin from Delaware. I have my ey on pat because he has the profile of a Chan Gailey QB. Big, athletic good arem, good decision maker.
