  1. do too early and he'll be back in another year looking for more.
  2. yeah - I can see the logic. Letting him go for nothing is better than getting some copensation for him and will sure show those other GMs who's the better poker player. More likely TD will keep him and let him rot on the bench to show those other GMs he meant what he said about not "giving" Travis away for nomimal compensation.
  3. Agreed. some team will need Henry - and it could be the Bills if Willis gets dinged in training camp.
  4. fat, old , slow and studid is no way to go thru like, son.
  5. not mention the Colts picked up about 10 spots higher than the experts projected
  6. would also help if he had a QB that could throw the ball.
  7. do NOT sit in the lower end zone sections. just asking for trouble from drunken fans
  8. Witten will be fine if he is Drew's primary receiver who he locks onto every play ) like Ben Coates. If not, he will be totally inieffective. Drew is incapable of "dropping" or "dumping" the ball to anyone. He can't make the decision on when to dump it, and his touch on short passes is horrible.
  9. irreparable brain damage
  10. The networks do not want a team in LA. They will lose their flexibility in progaramming the best matchups each week with no threat of a blackout. The NFL only wants to use teh threat of moving a team to NFL; as leverage to extort public money for new stadiums.
  11. As long as JP is not in Montana working out with the neighborhood kids, the prospects for success are good.
  12. no fat, slow and old is not a long term recipe for success
  13. I like the huge end zone and that you can get points for a team not returning a punt out of the end zone.
  14. Politicians are too busy cow- towing to the bleeding heart liberals in order generate enough votes to stay permaently in office. Doing the right thing is not an option.
  15. Teflon Tom fully intended on taking Joey Harrington at #4. When Detroit surprised him, Teflon Tom panicked and took what he thought was the least risky option in Fat Mike. He should have traded down, got an extra pick adn reduced the salary draiin, and took Mike Pearson as LT in round 2 (instead of Josh Reed).
  16. you are correct.- hey lighten up -- it's unfortunate that all the Bills problems can't be traced to your favorite whipping boy- Travis Henry
  17. GEE- sounds like the last 2 years where Drew proved conclusively that he could not beat the blitz. Last year, the entire offensive mindset was to dumb things down to the most basic level so Drew could be protected from making terrible decisions. Sure they will blitz JP. But my guess he will make more big plays in the first few games to exploit the blitz than Drew made in the last 2.5 years.
  18. JP will struggle no more than Drew did last year in running a dumbed down offense.
  19. Reich didn't lead Buffalo to a win as much as he stayed out of Thurman's way. But at least he didn't bungle the ball and commit costly turnovers.
  20. Frank was not starter material. Too bad since he was the exact opposite of Bledsoe. Strong intellect, good decision making and totally understood what to do on the field. However, his arm and body couldn't deliver the goods over the long haul. No way does he deserve to be on the wall.
  21. unfortunately the job is in Florida where the teacher's unions weren't very successful. Teacher's here get paid squat
  22. "out of here" is not good enough. Replacing the old losers with new career politicians is not the answer. As noted above, the entire structure of multiple layers of government and its entitlements needs to be overhauled. Since Buffalo is being run by a control board, why even have a common council who always puts their own self interest first? The state is getting what it deserves by electing a carpet bagger from Arkansas to represent their interests. The voters need to wake up
  23. NFL is unlikely to expand past 32 teams. With the LA market open, they made a commitment to the schedule for the next 10 years, which was a big break from the year to year process they had been using and would have continued if they planned on expanding.
  24. The networks will be actually be hurt by having a home team in LA. As has been proven with 2 prior teams, the locals will not support the team and the networks will be forced to black out games in that #2 TV market. Doesn't sound like an improvement over the current situation where the networks have complete discretion to pick the very best matchup each week to televise in that #2 market. There is much more value to the NFL in not having a team in LA so teams can extort multi-millions for new stadiums.
  25. why is it quite clear- because of the propaganda they put out for teams to use in extortion bids to upgrade their stadiums? Since TV has no incentive to place a franchise in LA, why does the league need a team there? They have already had 2 teams fail in LA
