  1. The NHL will take a page out of the NBA playbook when they manipulated the draft order to put Patrick Ewing into the big market NY Knicks. Look for Crosby to go to Chicago, Boston or NYC. Detroit would be overkill.
  2. As with many posters on this board, TO conveniently forgets about the huge signing bonus portion of his compensation when he whines about his low 2005 salary. If TO felt he deserved to be the highest paid WR, then he should have negotiated such a deal when he became a free agent last year. Oh wait- he twisted the rules last year and forced a trade to Baltimore that he ultimately didn't like and voluntaruly agreed to sign with Philly and played in the SuperBowl. TO and Rosenhaus have picked the absolute worst team in the league to pull this nonsense on - because it has been their long standing philosophy to not re-do contracts and overpay aging players who may soon hit the wall. People forget that TO was injured last year and the Eagles still made it to the SuperBowl without him. TO and Javon Walker can have a nice time holding out together.
  3. how about an undrafted 2nd year guy - Jason Peters?
  4. If Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon, who took the photos of him stepping on the moon? From the angle of the photos, it doesn't seem that the camera could be fixed to the Lander.
  5. He needs to imrove the other key stats- like TDs, yards per catch, yards after the catch. He needs to be dominant to justify the huge salary. not just catch a lot of short passes as the only WR that Drew would lock onto.
  6. yeah- he's the same high class, team player that Drew was, so we can expect Moulds to "cut" his $6 mil base pay to about $ 8 mil or so, just like Drew.
  7. He may want to stay as well - but unless his productivity increases dramatically AND he agrees to reduce his inflated paycheck- then he will probably be gone.
  8. If Gandy is shaky, Bills will either move Teague from C and let Preston play C or roll the dice with Jason Peters and scheme to protect him.
  9. if it's one with a 1st round pedigree. I was high on Lee last year froma talent level, but the reason he was let go by parcells may be due to his IQ.
  10. The Bills line is being built to run a multi-dimensional offense with a strong focus on running the ball - not solely to protect the QB. The Bills line has maulers, not finesse pass protectors. The OL is an important component to the overall success and versatility of the offense. The major problem with Drew that he needed a one dimensional OL to protect HIM to the detriment of the rest of the offensive gameplan.
  11. to the contrary, Del Rio got a division rival in cap hell to overspend and use a vital draft pick on a position they have already filled. DelRio's comments were strategically made. Now if there was an axe involved, that would be another matter.
  12. big quantum leap to consider Lee a capable backup when he is only a 2nd year unproven talent who was cut outright by the almighty Tuna.
  13. you are correct - you should go for the Manning name and take Eli.
  14. they should expand the area behind the net, but move the blue lines closer together and keep the offensive zone the same size since there won't be any center redline.
  15. It's been off the air for at last 10 years and you still remember. pretty dam good jingle.
  16. A very astute Bills fan with some well thought out comments early in the morning. Probably need to increase the caffeine level. You will intentionally gameplan to lose games just to avoid the possbility that your RB may be overworked. Brilliant! How many "extra" games do you think the Bills can lose and still make the playoffs?
  17. we're lucky that Matt Millen took him at #3 or else he would taking the snaps for the Bills.
  18. they should also expand the area behind the net to increase playmaking - sort of like lacrosse and move the bluelines closer together to preserve the same area in front of the net. Offense is what will bring in fans.
  19. By giving Moulds only a 1 year extension, I think it is pretty clear that his days in Buffalo are numbered. If TD had plans for him past 2005, that extension would have been for at least 2 years. Unless Moulds rediscovers his explosiveness or takes a huge salary cut, he will be playing elsewhere in 2006.
  20. you must be watching the Olympics, not the NHL. The center red line in the NHL only promotes the trap and a lot of clutching and grabbing. No continuous flow to the game or any real skating or play making.
  21. Engelburger will fit right in as a slow white guy with a good motor
  22. Moulds has played through injuries, but those injuries have turned him into an ordinary WR. He has not produced as an elite WR for a number of seasons. He dropped passes last year, disappeared from games and was not a dominant player. His numbers look awesome to you, but Harrison caught 140 passes and Holt consistently puts 1500+ yards. Moulds has not produced at any where near those levels. Look at the TDs. And this was with Drew locking onto Moulds at every opportunity. Hopefully, JP can get him into the end zone. Unless Moulds "cuts" his base salary to $3 mil from $10 mil next year, he will be gone. There will be no JoBu magic to create dead money.
  23. speed kills - gotta watch those amphetamines
  24. The NBA would be really stupid is have a lockout after agreeing to a new CBA.
  25. we are doomed!! How can we survive without another overpaid, underproductive, injury prone, big name player??!! oh- the humanity
