yeah I just made up that part of the post about not addressing the OL- which has been a continuing problem since the early 90's

Jim's biggest problem is he wouldn't have Jim Kelly at QB or Thurman at RB- and thus couldn't run his type of offense

and Marv takes no blame for any of this even though he was VP of Football Operations and Butler reported to him. why is everyone convinced Marv will fix the OL when he didn't do it when he was here the first time?

a problem bigger than play calling was the design of the plays. If MM stays, then that problem will not go away. Any offense which has your best players operating as decoys needs to be retooled.

at the very least, get rid of the dark blue from the Teflon Tom era. Marv can generate huge revenue from merchandise sales by returning to the Bills historic colors.

What justification can there possibly be for keeping him as HC but requiring him to gut his whole staff- other than not eating his remaining contract. There sure isn't much continuity.

always loved the arguement that you scored too many points is why you defense was inadequate. maybe if they made plays on third down and got off the field, they wouldn't have got so tired. How is that the offenses fault?

That defense with the talent he had should have been as dominant as the 85 Bears. Corey played soft and refused to attack.

that's crap Kirk Ferentz will do for the Bills what Nick Saban has done for the Dolphins. Jeff Fischer may be available from the Titans One positive, however, is that the Bills can bring in some top flight coordinators under the lame duck Mullarkey such as Dom Capers, Norv Turner RAlph is returning to his el-cheapo ways in not being williong to spend teh money necessary to get top coaches.

Walt Corey was an abolsute joke as a DC. He had multiple ProBowl and Hall of Fame caliber defenders his defense was ranked in bottom 20% of the league. Worse -that defense could not get off the field (see Giants Super Bowl) The common complaint was that it wasn't the defenses fault- it was because the offense scored too quickly. In retrospect, what a bunch of Mullarkey!!

gee - I wonder who his replacement was? The fact that history does in fact repeat itself will not be lost on Marv
