  1. he may a great reputation. but his expertise sure didn't result in any stellar performance by our OL
  2. interesting how Mullarkey kept his job by basically throwing TD under the bus by complaining of his "meddling" - but now he's leaving because his good buddy TD is no longer in charge
  3. yeah - but he'll sign for real cheap and he has no experience - so Marv can mold him in his own likeness:o
  4. yeah - McNally did a really fine with the OL the last 2 years He sure got the most out of Fat Mike
  5. based on what? He sure hasn't shown that ability to date. He agreed with Raplh to keep MM after gutting his staff. He consistently hired poor to average coordinators the last time he was in charge of the Bills.
  6. Marv should be on a plane to Iowa to recruit our new HC. That article says that he's not actively looking for an NFL job. He doesn't say that he would never consider the right offer.
  7. we should give Tenn their 3rd back and get Fischer
  8. if Ralph is willing to pay market value- they can get a real HC, like Dom Capers. If they were aggressive, they should make a serioius run at a difference maker like Jeff Fischer or Kirk Ferentz- even though unlikely. Nick Saban wasn't leaving LSU either. However, if Ralph insists on paying bargain basement for his HC then he will get what he pays for - another 1st time HC needing years of learing curve or a desparate incompetent has been (or Haslet).
  9. The Bills should give Tenn back its 3rd and get a real coach.
  10. maybe he will bring Aaron Brooks with him
  11. Maybe Marv forced this issue after concluding keeping MM was a mistake. But he sure didn't play it that way in the press. However, just beecause Ralph shot his mouth off about keeping MM doesn't let Marv off the hook. Upon accepting the job, Marv's first comments should have been that all aspects of teh organization would be under review including the HC. Sorry - but Marv doesn't get a free pass.
  12. just like he had the guts to refuse to fire his entire staff
  13. If it's not Marv, you can start using the Teflon label. This was Marv's fist big decision and he blew it big time by keeping a lame duck coach after gutting his staff. Calling for a fresh start but keeping the main problem is pretty shortsighted. MM quitting early in the process will save the francxhise from irreparable harm and give Marv a gett out jail free card. Hopefully, they will bring in a HC with a proven track record and stop with the 1st HC trainiong program.
  14. He's not DC material either
  15. excuse me - but Marv is in charge of personnel. Fortunately, MM fixed the first big mistake of the Levy administration.
  16. looks like Mullarkey saw the light and will sacrifice himself for the future of JP
  17. Brooks would be a big step up from what the Bills have at QB right now.
  18. hard to see how you keep MM and JP. With Marv having an aversion to young players, looks like JP is done before he started in Buffalo.
  19. Here's an interesting comment on what Parcells and Bellichek consider in the 1st round. Maybe the Bills should take notice after the long string of skill positon players in teh 1st round. "Because they may well go for a TE. Yes, they have Witten. But Parcells loves TEs and knows what problems they cause defenses. Adding a guy like Pope or Lewis would make life interesting for opposing defenses. Think it won't happen? Take a look at New England's first round draft picks over the last few years. TEs Watson and Graham. DL Seymour, Warren, and Wilfork. Interior OL Mankins and Woody. LB Katzenmoyer. Parcells and Billichek share many philosophies. Not drafting first round QBs, WRs, etc is one of them"
  20. The old mantra is true "Run to win, but pass to score." Once you score, you can dictate the tempo by pummelling them witht the run.
  21. If Marv is committing to Mullarkey- then it may be a must to clean out the problem children to avoid a contaminated locker room. The front office needs to send a clear message as to who's in charge and mutiny won't be tolerated. Failure to fully support Mullarkey is just setting him up to fail.
  22. coming from a player that means converting salary into signing bonus and not reducing his actual cash.- It doesn't mean pay "cut" (See Drew Bledsoe last restructuring)
  23. well JP probably won't be the QB based on MM's recent decisoin making.
  24. The Gilbride hire had all the markings of GM interference. With recent insinuation of more TD meddling, GW may have been forcefed Gilbride and forced to retain him when logic dictated he should be cut loose. TD should have fired GW at the bye week in year 3. However, since he commited to GW at that point and the team responded and won some games it shouldn;t have, TD compounded his error by throwing GW under the bus at the end of the year. Just like MM is getting another year, GW had already worked his way through the learning curve and should not have fired for another rookie coach.
  25. Teflon Tom would have taken Joey Harrington. Fortunately, he was saved that embarassment by Matt Millen. Due to his infatuation with Joey H, Teflon did nothing prior to the draft to cultivate trading partners if Joey H was not available. Just because a huge player "moves well for his size" does not make him a player deserving of a $40 mil contract.
