  1. Bledsoe will probably put up great stats, especially between the 20s. TO will help because he will score from outside the redzone. However, just like last year, Drew will melt down at key moments and lose games all by himself. TO may actually physically maim Drew on the field after a meltdown.
  2. Bills would probably be willing to pay $1 mil if they could buy another day 1 draft pick-
  3. no one we are doomed!
  4. Moulds is not due a "huge" bonus. According to reports, if there is a bonus, it is only $1 mil. The rest is salary which is not guaranteed until game 1. The Bills need not hurry to make a move. Their best deal may actually come after a team loses a player to injury. Darrell Jackson is having problems with his knee again.
  5. you're right and nobody ran out and gave them a big money deal paying top 5 money while they were injured. Walker wants the big money deal before he plays another down. Great plan to trade for an injured player who won't play until he gets a big raise.
  6. if those flying pigs can catch, I'd sign them up.
  7. too bad his knee doesn't work Nobody is going to give him big money until he proves he can survive the season and produce at a Pro Bowl level.
  8. wish Marv would change the colors of those uniforms to the old royal blue
  9. You conclude that he read the market well. However, many of his big name, big money acquisitions did not produce on the field to justify the big money invested. Could be that TD had trouble evaluating talent - and overpaid dearly for under performers.
  10. yeah - look how Lurie dismantled the Marlins because South Florida wouldn't casve in to his extoriton demands to build another new publicly funded ball park
  11. stay off the drugs
  12. Prime factor is determining comp picks is net loss of players in FA. Bills had a net zero, so the quality of the players they lost is just a marginal factor.
  13. ROUND ONE 1. Houston Texans: Reggie Bush, RB, USC (Joel Segal). The Texans will pay lip service to the locals by pretending to agonize over the question of whether to pick Bush or Texas product Vince Young. Barring a trade down, it's Bush. 2. Baltimore Ravens (projected trade from Saints): Vince Young, QB, Texas (Major Adams). The Saints could opt to stay put and draft a quarterback, but we have a weird feeling that the Ravens will fall in love with Young -- and could find a way to jump from No. 13 to snag him. For the Saints, who we hear covet a certain high-end defensive player, the drop by eleven spots will prevent them from getting him. However, the opportunity to slide back by eleven spots, and to avoid the big cash outlay associated with a top five pick, will be very, very tempting to the team's skinflint front office. If the Saints stay put, don't be surprised if they take Matt Leinart, even with Drew Brees on the roster. Remember -- Brees' contract is essentially a one-year, $10 million deal. 3. Tennessee Titans: Matt Leinart, QB, USC (Leigh Steinberg, Charles Price). The Titans love Young, and will take him if he's still on the board. They'll settle for the 2005 Heisman winner, who'll get a rude awakening when he doesn't have the same horses surrounding him as he did when he was a Trojan. 4. New York Jets: D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia (Donald Yee, Stephen Dubin). The fact that the Jets missed out on Jon Runyan has fueled speculation that Tangini will use D'Pick on D'Brick. 5. Green Bay Packers: A.J. Hawk, LB, Ohio State (Mike McCartney). This kid was born to be a Packer. 6. San Francisco 49ers: Mario Williams, DE, N.C. State (Ben Dogra). Williams would go higher in a year without such a top-heavy selection of quality players. 7. Oakland Raiders: Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland (Ethan Lock, Zeke Sandhu). Better than Kellen Winslow, who went in the six hole two years ago. As an added plus, Davis doesn't own a motorcycle. 8. Buffalo Bills: Jonathan Joseph, CB, South Carolina (Jason Chayut). With or without Nate Clements, the Bills need an upgrade.
  14. 1. The Bills will not get any 3rd round compensatory picks. They were net zero in free agent pick ups and will be lucky to get a 7th rounder. 2. The 4th rounder discussed in relation to Houston is the 1st pick in the 4th round. Likely the Bills would be looking for a 3rd rounder from a different trading partner.
  15. sure - if you can work Matt Schaub into the trade
  16. There is no way to tell right now if Walker will ever be healthy again
  17. why not- the plan is to try and draft an rookie OL inthe 3rd round to start- which is wishful thinking. why not get an experienced starter witht the pick?
  18. Mould's 2006 salary is not guaranteed until the 1st regular season game. So Bills could cut him, ala Lawyer Milloy by Pats, teh week before the season starts. Or they could keep him as teh season starts, and trade him like Jags did with Keenan McCardell to a team who loses a WR to injury like the Packers lost WAlker in game 1 last year.
  19. don't seem to be many free agents worth spending the money on. Bills will keep Mouolds under contract until they can work a trade, even if takes until camp
  20. not signing any old, fat and slow big name has-beens to big money contracts
  21. Nate is not under contract. Not sure if he is allowed to participate if not signed.
  22. If Davis is as amazing as you describe, he will be long gone by the Bills pick.
  23. agreed -Teague as a backup at LT would be a good move.
  24. JP should look and act like the team leader he is supposed to be. Instead he looks and acts like a surfer bum. Once he proves himself, he earns the right to do what he wants. But right now, he needs to earn the respect of his teammates and should do everything (no matter how seemingly trivial) to do just that.
  25. Marv will like Young even less. There is ZERO chance that the overly conservative Marv and Jouron will draft Vince Young - even if they determine all of our QBs are worthless. - Cutler maybe. Young is another QB with great physical tools but not enough gray matter to execute at the NFL level on a consistent basis.
