  1. it won't be too hard to make that leap. reputations asise, most OCs seemed to meltdown when they coached in Buffalo.
  2. it's got nothing to do with character. the injury destroyed his career. It doesn't help that now he has nagging hamstring injuries which furhter limit his playing time and effectiveness. maybe he will start a stretching program now that he's not invincible
  3. It would greatly help the cause if those vets (TKO. Vincent, etc) would stay healthy and make plays on the field, instead of being the major cause for the poor performance on the field - thus needing to bring in new bodies. TKO should shut up until he can support his comments on the field.
  4. Maybe since he knows the rules so well as Union Pres, TV worked them to the max to get his 2006 salary guaranteed by misrepesenting his good health to the Bills.
  5. why would he be. His 2006 salary is now guaranteed. shoulds have cut him before the opener. At least they got rid of the veteran presence lobbying for Kelly HOlcomb.
  6. Ronnie Brown will not reach greatness since Mullrkey will be resting him on 3rd downs. Not to mention the gimmick plays in the red zone.
  7. would also be helpful if the backup could actually run the same offense as the starter. If Holcomb plays the entire offense changes to a dink and dunk approach. No thanks
  8. not mention that their OL is worse than the Bills. they have Fat Bennie starting at RG. Can't wait till MM sits Ronnie Brown on 3rd down in favor of Sammie Morris
  9. Holcomb didn't fit the old system either. It was designed to fit Bledsoe's and Losman's ability to throw downfield, which is why it was counter productive to bring in a backup with polar opposite skills.
  10. I think not- The more intelligent reason is that they fully expect him to be starting at RG.
  11. they also did it against Drew because his decision making was so dam slow. It took him forever to release the ball.
  12. you don't need an eternity to throw down the field unless you're Drew Bledsoe. With fast WRs, the QB can throw the ball on a 3 step drop and let teh WR run under the pass. Quick slants can also result in big plays. Bills will be able to stretch the field just fine. Also helps to have an OC with an understanding of an offensive system as opposed to the gimmick master.
  13. pretty tough to be holding out when you don't have a contract.
  14. keep those fingers crossed. Kent Hull was a misfit and castoff when he joined the Bills.
  15. they won;t even be picking in the top 10.
  16. Don't disagree that best athlete plays LT. but not because it's the QB's "blind side". As you note, the better athlete plays the left side because those skills are needed to exectue - not because the QB is left handed or right handed.
  17. I was at the NO game. The offense looked good early until meathead decided to take Willis out of the gameplan. Clements looked like a little lost boy trying to cover Stallworth even though Joe Horn was out. The defense did not play good. Bills would have won if McGhee had scored on that return before the half and the team would have gained some confidence in JP.
  18. What I said is Marv would not trade down while on the clock without a pre-negotiated deal and basically a guarantee that he would get the player he had targeted at #8. This is precisely what he did in round 1.
  19. He probably got creamed by Bruce from the left side because the Bengals must have invested heavily in a good RT to protect Boomer's blind side. Too bad he threw left handed or the Bengals would have gotten a good LT to stop Bruce.
  20. I guess that high paid LT should take a big pay cut when a lefty comes in to play QB
  21. Right- so the RT becomes more important simply because the QB throws with his left hand. The blind side argument is pure non-sense, made up by some talking heads looking for filler. The more athletic OT usually plays LT in order to match up against the other teams quicker, faster pass rushers (both DE and LB). Teams "settle" for slower bigger guys at RT because premier OTs are impossible to find. They make the best out of the hand dealt them and run to the RTs strentgh- unless Mularkey is calling the plays.
  22. Good plan, then, to waste your limited time whining about a team that you have no faith in.
  23. yeah - Holcomb was really slick at throwing that 2 yard pass on 3rd and 8. I wonder how long it will take JP to become that polished?
  24. not with bad Bennie playing on the OL
  25. The team last year was poorly conditioned and it showed on the field. Out of shape players suffer muscle injuries (not TKO) but plenty of others
