The cost to the team owner is much lower than you contend since the NFL will extort a new stadium from the taxpayers at minimal cost to the ownership group.
Taxpayers are morons who love the next boondoggle.
At least the Bills have some young talent brought in by this staff who they are willing to get on the field. Pennington and Merz at least provide hope for the future.
Peters was slated to be the LT of the future. The future got here sooner than expected- he can't be any worse than Gandy.
The sooner they get Villarial to teh bench, the better. However, they probably want his experience next to the rookie Pennington until he gets his feet wet.
The OL shakeup is a good thing.
The most frustrating part of this offense is that they refuse to throw the ball in to the end zone.
Whether by play call and poor reads by Losman, they refuse to attack the end zone.
From the 17, they should have taken 3 shots at a TD and then kicked a field goal.
The most important skill a QB needs is a brain that allows him to quickly process info and make decisions.
Without it, all of the other "tools" become wasted.
Whoever the Bills bring in to play QB needs a working brain.
you should review tape of the whole game (and the Detroit game while you're at it) and count the number of times our CBs line up in the same zip code as the WR. Ask Roy Williams-- not very often. In fact, Jabari Greer is the only CB I have actually seen chuck a WR at the line.
You may be right about what is supposed to happen on the filed, but it sure isn't happening. Pats entire 1st drive was set up to exploit the soft cushion McGee was giving Caldwell (a real playmaker!)
tough to get beat in press coverage when your CBs are consistently 10 yards off the WRs.
maybe Nate will actually tackle somebody next week.Probably doesn't want to get his jersey dirty in case he makes ESPN highlights. he forgot he actually needs to make a play to get on the highlights.
the Bills OL was never great.
in the no huddle years, their production exceeded their skill because they were able to exploit their conditioning over fat and slow DLs.
However, when they had to slug it out, they were not able to dominate.
yeah - his really stupid move was highly recommending Bennie Anderson.
not to mention that great "sweep right, reverse field behind the line halfback option pass / run play" call to Ronnie Brown for the 2 point conversion to tie the game against Houston.
Couldn't just let your 260 lb QB run a QB draw.
why?
he didn't learn from them in Pittsburgh.
drafting undersized midget kick returners with your first pick is not the long term recipe for sucess. (repeated the Troy Edwards mistake in Buffalo)
yeah - I could see how it would be prohibitive to have a ref blow a key play dead (like on a pick for a TD) when a team is going to upset the fix.
Just claim he went out of bounds
Yards/ attempt is actually one of the better predictors of playoff and super bowl success.
See the attached for plenty of background and stats.

A basic tenant of success is that you must run the ball effectively to contol a game, but you must throw efficiently to score points in order to allow you to run the ball to win.
A high Yards per attempt inidicates that the offense is generating chunks of yardage thru the air.
Although Losman didn't get the stats for it, his long pass to Evans resulted in points.
