  1. Hard to see how Miami passes on him. Agree Bills will not draft Ol in 1st round. Possibly Manny Ramierez OG in late 3rd or 4th.
  2. you should follow that other guy's lead and read from the Kiper Big Book.
  3. His alter ego is Alan Branch be afraid of large, lazy overpaid DTs
  4. are you like 12 with a reading list limited to Mel's Big Book? Mel has good access to NFL front office personel (thru ESPN) which he uses to try to slot players in the draft. however, to say that Mel is great at scouting and evaluating talent is delusional. complete madness to put more stock in Mel's Big Book than actual NFL scouts and GMs. Carry on
  5. Agree about Brandon Jackson. They need to draft Defense in round 1. Hopefully Miami takes Levi Brown to replace one of the 5 OL they cut this off season.
  6. There is a very strong chance that SF takes Willis at #11. Their staff spent the entire Senior Bowl week with Willis and are in the best position to assess his future prospects. If they are sold on him, then the Bills do not get a shot unless someone they like even better falls into their lap - like Okoye.
  7. That trade would stop the crazy talk of teh PAckers taking Greg Olson at #16.
  8. Since Peterson is so good, and most of the teams in the top 10 have multiple needs, it is highly likely that one of those teams trades down with someone wanting Peterson. There is very little chance he makes it to #12.
  9. Dunn is 32 and on his last legs. The future in Atlanta is Jerious Norwood - thhe type of mid-round RB the Bills should be getting with upside. Atlanta will not take Peterson- but may trade down to someone who does want him
  10. Brandon Jackson - late 3rd or early 4th
  11. the downside that he is Ryan Simms or Andre Wadsworth or Mike Williams. total washouts high talent and can't miss label but missing the motiviation to succeed after gettig teh big bucks.
  12. highly unlikely Peterson would get past slot #6. Redskins would trade down to get more picks with anyone in need of a stud RB.
  13. why not take out Calcin Johnson, Joe Thomas adn GAines Adams too. No way in hell we have a shot at them. Now we're picking 6th. we can get a lot more in trade for our 1st rounder now that its a 6 instead of a 12. What a plan!
  14. with so many needs, Houston would trade down with Peterson as trade bait. Redskins are desparate to move down as well to get more picks. Peterson probably goes at #6 to somebody.
  15. Can't see how Miami does not take Levi Brown. They have let go 5 OL and have no real options left in FA. This would probably push Branch to Bills. Based on his boom or bust profile, may be best to trade down with someone despearate for a big DT. If Branch is gone, then chances of trading down are slim.
  16. I've seen draft guru Mike Mayock describe Branch as a boom or bust player. Could be a Pro Bowler or a total wash out. Even if he drops, I would bet the Bills pass on him due to the big downside. If this assessment is true, I could see Okoye going being before Branch - thus making Willis the more likely pick.
  17. too bad for the Browns that Campbell plays for the Redskins.
  18. old, slow and arrogant is not the way to build your WRs. Marv has spent 2 off-seasons cleaning out the turds. NO way does Moulds come back
  19. During the Super Bowl years, Marv was VP of Football Operations. Butler may have identified the talent, but Marv had final say.
  20. The point is that Okoye would fit on our DT rotation even if he is considered a 3 tech. You obtain playmakers when available - the coaches can then design schemes to utilize them.
  21. This is false/ Typically teams play a 3 tech over the OG and a tech over the C. HOwever, this is not gospel. IN the old days of the Rams fearsome foursome and the Steel Curtain, The DTs lined up on the OGs. There was no one on the C. The Bills could use both 3 tech players at teh same time to give the OL a differernt look. The OL would have to deal with both DTs shooting the gaps to cause havoc in the backfield. This is probably the most effective way to disrupt Brady's quick passing game. However, to make this effective, you need LBs who can read the gaps created by the DTs and move up to make tackles at the line of scrimmage (not 5 yards downfield.)
  22. NO you don't waste extra picks on a RB, especially one with a history of injuries.
  23. Mel is a moron. There is no way in hell that Beason who runs a 4.74 and is limited athletically will go before the more productive, faster and more athletic Willis.
  24. why the hell would you waste 2 quality picks on a 30+ RB abouty to be replaced? Norwood would be the better back to get since he isn't old and broken.
