  1. Since Turner is the next coming of God, they should keep him and trade LT.
  2. He does not break tackles. For a back his size, he is knocked down by very minimal contact. Looks like the clone of Ron Dayne.
  3. why not our non-existent 5th rounder? Seattle could just give him away.
  4. you are correct sir. Okoye is the only one I could see if Willis is gone because he could conceivably take Hargrove's place and play DE if he had to.
  5. Tim Shaw outplayed the almighty Pos at Penn State. He is the better value
  6. Bush plays soft and still has not recoverd from his injury in game 1. He would be worth our phantom 5th rounder.
  7. so who's the PROVEN RB that we can get for a 2nd and 3rd? For the hype Turner is getting you would think teh Chargers would keep him and trade the worn out LT.
  8. he runs great in his underwear. but his on field production does not match up with measureables. no thanks
  9. I wopuld prefer to have Brandon Jackson as an everydown back with upside or Lorenzo Booker as a 3rd down homerun hitter rather than the 2nd tier backs listed.
  10. Miami needs a LT more than a QB. If they moved up in that scenario it would be for Thomas.
  11. The hole in your agrument is that although 1st rounders do bust, lower picks also bust but at a much higher rate. Better talent has a better chance of success, especially if they are high character, self-motivated players.
  12. why trade Turner now? because Turner's value will never be higher after his highlight reel 2006. If he's actually does have to play significant time for LT in 2007, whatever warts he has will be exposed and his value will drop. SD knows what they have in him and he is worth more to them than anyone else due to tight window to challenge for a Super Bowl.
  13. This draft is so weak that only about 18 players carry real 1st round grades. The Bills have a chance to get one at #12. Why would they give up a likely starter for multiple back up / scrubs in a weak draft?
  14. exactly they had serious flaws in their game that was not apparent from the highlight runs on ESPN.
  15. The only consistent way to get playmakers at a reasonable price is to draft them. The best you get in free agency is overpriced mid-ranged guys unless a malcontent like TO hits the market. Generally, you can find role players in free agency, but not playmakers and diffference makers. If they are still valuable, they are not on the market. The Bills need to get a dominant MLB for the defense to operate most efficiently. If they think Willis is the guy and they need to bypass SF to make sure it happens, then they should do it. The loss of a player in the 4th round who is most likely a backup is worth it.
  16. Derrick Blalock, Kenny Davis were proven backups about to breakout too.
  17. next year's #1 is only valued as a 2nd round pick in the 2007 draft. I would take Brandon Jackson / Lorenzo Booker in the 3rd and sign Chris Brown / Corey Dillon / Ricky Williams instead.
  18. Ginn isn't the best WR on his own college team. He runs fast. No one will be trading up for Ginn.
  19. In an offense that is geared to using the RB extensively, I find it extremely troubling that when Turner is in the game they change their offense to avoid bad things happening when they throw the ball - like poorly run patterns, dropped passes, missed blitz pickups, missed blocks.
  20. you are correct. The Bills need to get impact playmakers from the draft - there will be plenty of back up playesrs and camp fodder in the later rounds in a relatively weak overall draft.
  21. I would not move up for a RB. They can get a serviceable back with upside in round 2 or 3. I could see them moving to #10 for Willis if they felt strongly that SF would take him.
  22. that's right. because the only time they used Turner was when they wanted to run the ball. He caught 3 balls last year, LT caught over 50. He didn't play when they wanted to pass. He is the clone of Kenny Davis- good runner but severely limited in all other aspects of the game and thus not deseriving of giving up multiple high picks and a huge contract when the Bills have other options.
  23. well - there is that guy in Chicago who had to change from safety in college to MLB but started from day 1 and is the lynchpin of their defense (which is the model for our defense).
  24. that may be true in a tradional defense. Willis will play MLB for the Bills for 2 bnasic reasons: 1. I fhe plays weakside, you put Ellison on the bench creating another hole 2. More importantly, in the Bills coer-2, They need a LB in the Urlacher mode who has great speed and range in order to force the run and get deep in pass coverage. The traditional run plugger at MLB does not work in the cover-2.
  25. good thing we had a good draft last year. because your plan would be huge step backwards. 2 # 2 s for a one dimensional player that will get our QB killed because he can't block is insane.
