  1. if you define COLD as under 50 but he is taller than 6 ft - so he must be good but not as good as those guys over 6 '4"
  2. thank you Crowell is not far behind either. Bills would benefit greatly by replacing him with a playmaker
  3. I guess an injured DE is better than an injured WR. but why risk the #11 pick on an injured player who has not proven on the field that he has recovered when there are other options?
  4. don't worry - the Bills will vastly overpay to move back into the 1st round to overpay him.
  5. you've been playing with this model too long Your position to pass on an elite impact player at a huge problem area for the Bills to get VERY GOOD DTs in the 5th round draft and from an undrafted guy is absolutely laughable. Why not just take the impact player when he drops in your lap?
  6. let me help you out. this is what he should have concluded - The Bills absolutely must draft impact playmakers with their 1st 2 picks. It does not matter at what position. Getting marginal starters is not good enough since it is cost prohibitive to trade for or sign free agent superstars. Targeting a 2nd tier WR (with injuries) to be a WR#2 just because he is tall would be a continuation of the stupid decisions made in the past.
  7. a drafted WR will not greatly improve the team in 2008 --especially these can't miss studs mis broken legs and wrists. The best WR talent of this generation barely made a dent last year as a rookie.
  8. The Bills front office has been outstanding. They have accumulated an immense amount of talent over the last few years - whcih has fueled the impressive playoff run the team has been on. I can not believe there is anyone who can challenge the quality and performance of our front office. The major players have been here for close to a decade and the8ir playoff record speaks for itself. Just look at all those late round gems that have turned into star players.
  9. and he has bad knees which may be the cause of the slow time. bad knees that will not improve with pounding in the NFL bad knees that don't get better in the 2nd or 3rd round
  10. our DEs could cover him at that speed
  11. The slow times are more an indication that his knees may be shot. A WR with chronic arthristis in his knees is almost as valuable as a WR with bad wrist or bad rap sheet. just say no to 1st round WRs Earl Bennett or Jordy Nelson will do just fine.
  12. Miami wants Chris Long. They are using Jake Long to set up a base-line contract. They will try to force thier preferred choice to agree to a favorable contract ahead of time - which may not be true #1 money, but it will be better than something lower in the draft. Brady Quinn had the chance to take the pre-draft deal but took his chances - he dropped to #22 and lost MILLIONS.
  13. I guess those knees may be a problem after all>
  14. but he's really really tall. and 40 times are overrated- Lack of footspeed is actually a benefit -- with no footspeed, teams will not bother covering him. He will be dynamite as a pro receiver.
  15. we took Evans instead of Vince Wilfork and Tommie Harris maybe the Bills will finally figure out that you need good DLs to play dominant D
  16. sounds like a good plan. the football gods finally smile on the Bills and let a premium impact playmaker at DT fall to the Bills - and the Bills wisely turn their nose up at this good fortune in exchange for 3rd and 4th round picks which will basically be training camp fodder - all so they can continue their pursuit of overrated and injued 2nd tier WRs later in the 1st round. No wonder they have not made the playoffs this millenium!
  17. WR in the first 2 rounds in a little overkill. maybe you could a squeeze a lineman or LB that would build the core of the team
  18. That may be true. In order to buidl a Super Bowl contender, the Bills need to draft impact playmakers. There are no players available at #11, if Harvey is gone, that improve any of those areas.' It is stupid to pass on impact players to take a lesser player, especially when you can get a WR in round 2 lke bennett or Nelson.
  19. Chris Williams- if Harvey and Rivers are gone
  20. would that be the treadmill to nowhere? a destination achieved by continually ignoring the OL and front 7 on defense
  21. Bills have ZERO playmakers at LB. a DE that is just a pass rushing specialist is OK - but a LB that can rush the passer, play pass coverage and make tackles is an unneeded luxury? Rivers would not be a backup LB on this defense - he would put Crowell on the bench where he belopngs as a quality backup to all 3 spots
  22. Rivers is a playmaker - something th Bills lack on defense
  23. you forgot the mosts likely prospects - Earl Bennett and Jordy Nelson
  24. Bills should take the talent if available. If an OT grades out significantly higher than WR- it's stupid to take the pure need when that player just fills a hole and is not an elite playmaker. Bennett or Nelson can be taken in the 2nd round to will fill the WR hole. The Bills have zero depth anywhere on the OL. Their C needs a serious upgrade. Any injury at tackles and the Bills season is done - not to metion whoever is playing QB will be put at serious risk.
